Best part of bird season. You’ve become my favorite tv show sir, every year after a nice hunt me and the dog rest and watch you! I appreciate the respect and attitude. We aren’t all pros, but we all understand that feeling of gratitude you convey. Do you use anything to prep your dogs feet? That’s always my biggest problem on trips where my girl is on the ground multiple days.
Hands down the best bird hunting channel anywhere. Those dogs are simply amazing. I was raised in arkansas before the quail were gone. My dad was a good bird hunter and had mostly English pointers. He took me from very early age until it was over. This reminds me of that. Those early december mornings behind two good pointers that knew what they were doing and plenty of fresh coveys. No better hunting than that. Truly is the sport of kings! I miss it.
hunting grounds of dreams.. I was in Montana in 2005 for fishing trout. a hunting dog trainer from Belgium for 35 years! Very good hunting and well trained wirehairs. kind regards, Krist
I was just wondering when your first fall hunt video would be. This will suffice till season opens. I'll be out with my gsp Kimber Sept. 1st dusky blue grouse hunting. During a lil preseason scouting I've seen more birds than last year. Hoping it holds up. Good luck this fall hunting.
Always a pleasure to watch you and the dogs in my home state, two more days till Christmas Eve here aka grouse opener, maybe my son and I will see you out there, probably in town getting an ice cream lol
You are as close to hunting Montana as these old legs will ever get, and I thank you for it. The dogs are doing great and I’m hungry for a camp dinner on some never frozen upland birds. ThankYou Eric, looking forward for more.
Fantastic video, terrain, shooting and dog work. I'm envious of hunting that prairies terrain - sure is a whole different ball game than Eastern woodlands grouse hunting. Bet those birds were some fine eating too. Grouse season opens here in my local management unit in just over 3 weeks - I'm stoked! Nothing like getting out there with my 21-year old son to hunt grouse with a couple of 20-gauge Citoris!
Great video Eric. Do you have a recipe you wouldn't mind sharing that makes the sharptail taste good? They are a little strong for my taste buds and I haven't found anything yet that makes them taste very well.
I the 4th Montana episode I featured my favorite way to prepare sharptail. It reminds me of beef filet. Final Montana Episode '23-Friends, Family, Dogs and Birds. ruclips.net/video/H60mii1DvSk/видео.html
What's not to love about MT for a bird hunter, it's one of my favorite places. If that doesn't get you pumped up for season, something is wrong with you.
Yeah definitely a fan of Eric and his dog work
Definitely my favorite upland hunting show
The G.O.A.T of upland hunting and dog work, I love your videos, just a couple more weeks till opener here in ND and these videos keep me going
Spectacular - as usual! Looking forward to more videos this fall!
Can’t wait to watch your 2024 episodes! You and your dogs are simply the best👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks! 👊

Interested in what you feed and how much your dogs always look in great condition??
I feed Purina Pro Plan Sport. How much depends on the dog. 1.5-4 cups.
That time off the year again great dog work from the old dogs to the young
Beautiful

I’m looking forward to your content again this year! When you hunt Montana , is it public ground? How hard is it to find areas to hunt, and access?
Got any new action on the way for us? You’ve got us hooked on your adventures and craving more! 😂
Coming soon! 👍

Understanding that every dog is different, how long do you typically run a dog in the warmer early season? Couple of hours?
Yes. 2-3 hours average in the heat.
