Yet again, an absolutely stunning exploration into the elevation of watercolour portraiture to a level akin to oil portraiture. And I believe this time (after binge watching your videos for the last 4 days), you incorporate oil painting techniques into your portraits. The layers of washes, Sfumato, using squirrel brushes to diffuse the the wet on dry final details. I think I am beginning to understand the technique. I'll be starting my first watercolour portrait in a few days (after a 4 year gap of no Art and 6 years previously working exclusively in pastel and "on and off" attempts at oil portraits for at least 12 years). I WILL make sure I tag you personally as my master teacher, when I post my results on Facebook. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Master J. Hun Sung!!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hello.so smooth effect of watercolour. I see other artists works they watercolors not so smooth.but more like rough and sandy dull affect. But on middle grid paper ..is it quality of paints or other reason in it?can you explain.thank you
Amazing portrait! I've made only two watercolor portraits and still learning 😉 this was very helpfull but I think I will paint my illustrations for some time 😄😂... It was a pleasure to watch and thank you for sharing! 💗🤩🤩
Looks dry. Check out Misulbu's videos here on RUclips as well. He has a few videos where he explains a bit of his technique and is quite similar to Junsung's.
I would love to watch the real time version no matter how long it takes and hear how and why you do things and what colours you use. While impressive to watch, I don’t see the point in speed painting as nothing is learnt or taught. But maybe that’s the intention, to show what you can do.
Beautiful!
