    my knee has been buckling for the last few days and it only happens a few times per day but when it does i feel a sharp pain in my knee. i havent had any injury or anything. should i be worried?

    • @restorepluspt
      @restorepluspt  22 дня назад +1

      Good question @ohgeeesyy. Without trauma, usually the buckling is because of weakness on muscles stabilizing the knee. I suggest monitoring it. If it gets more frequent, I suggest seeing a specialist to find out what is causing the buckling. Work on strengthening your knee muscles in the meantime and see how if that helps.

      Good question @Enjoywatchingyoutube8227. Riding a bike is not very effective when it comes to preventing knee buckling. I suggest focusing on strengthening your quads, VMO and your glutes. I hope this helps.🙏

    My knee buckles with extreme pain. I had a twist injury while playing football a month ago . The buckling happens only when i am playing sports and if someone hit me from the side. otherwise its normal . Also i couldnt completely bend my knees . Can you please tell what it could be ?😢

    • @restorepluspt
      @restorepluspt  7 месяцев назад +3

      I'm sorry to hear this @abhijaiyt6220. Based on what you mentioned, it can be an ACL injury, meniscus or collateral ligament injury or a combination of those (which commonly happens). I suggest seeing a specialist to rule out which one it is through clinical tests and radiographic studies. I hope you feel better soon.🙏

      @restorepluspt  Год назад +1

      Sorry to hear this @azizakhan7066. Couple of things I would recommend: 1. Stretch your knee to regain the lost range especially the extension. If your knee does not fully extend, you will not be able to get rid of the limp. 2. Watch my video Stop Limping. follow the exercises there to help with the balance and stability. Hope they help.🙏

    While jumping my knee give up inward i had a knee injury mri shows acl strain now rehab program when i try to do sprint or unconsiously jump my knee goes inward is it strengthning problem or i need ACL surgery

    • @restorepluspt
      @restorepluspt  7 месяцев назад +2

      Good question @priyanshusyunary4590. I recommend strengthening your thigh muscles more especially your quads and see if that will prevent your knee from buckling. It is hard to tell if you will need surgery or not without seeing how strong your leg is. Some people don't need surgery and can go back to some level of activity. Straight running can be achieved more easily. Cutting movements are trickier. I wish you the best. 🙏

    Complete ACL rupture, and partial MCL tear. Used the wedge to do leg raises. Did 4 sets of 5. Tried to do another set and knee buckled. Very painful! Can’t walk. Can’t stand. Any other exercise suggestions?

    • @restorepluspt
      @restorepluspt  7 месяцев назад +1

      I'm sorry to hear this @michaeldodd3563. With ACL tears, make sure to avoid your knee buckling. That places a lot of stress in the ACL as you have experienced with the pain. If your quads is too weak to do straight leg raise lying down, I suggest modifying it to the standing position so it is easier. I hope this helps.🙏

    Thank you for this. At 13 I had a full patella dislocation. Ever since i often feel the same sensation (about once a year) in the same knee so kept thinking it’s a dislocation where the patellar moved back in but now starting to think it’s been buckling ever since (for 15 years now) about once or twice a year. Lately noticed it happened in places where I didn’t do a rotation, so couldn’t have been a dislocation. This makes me think it’s not as bad as I always thought and just buckles. What do you think?

    • @restorepluspt
      @restorepluspt  4 месяца назад +1

      Hey @user-eb7gj6tw6v. It is tough to say without actually seeing your knee and the movement. You can tell if the patella dislocated because it will not be in its usual place. Usually it's going to sit higher than your normal. If it is in the same place, then it is not a dislocation. If your knee gives out or bends, then that is buckling of the knee. I hope this helps.

    • @JoMarmulla
      @JoMarmulla 4 месяца назад

      @@restorepluspt thank you it does. Is it possible for it to feel the same when it buckles and when it dislocates? Because that feeling is the same for me compared to the dislocation I had 15 years ago. It always feels the same just less painful and less swelling

    • @restorepluspt
      @restorepluspt  4 месяца назад

      @@JoMarmulla When your patella dislocates, your knee can buckle. And after it dislocates repeatedly, the pain and swelling gets less. If it happens repeatedly, I suggest getting it checked to see what can be done to prevent that.

    But what if your quads are already strong with bodybuilding. This is already built is it not to do this and I use 15kg on leg plates extension

    • @restorepluspt
      @restorepluspt  5 месяцев назад

      Good question @jde9711. Sometimes even with strong quads, if the VMO part is not very strong, the knee will not be stable. Also, if the quads is not strong at the endrange of extension, it may still give out as well. Aside from the quads, you can look at the gluts if they are strong also.

    • @restorepluspt
      @restorepluspt  11 месяцев назад

      I'm sorry to hear this @dfjihjie8407! Based on what you said, it seems like the muscles around your left knee is weak and cannot hold your weight in that position. I suggest strengthening your quads especially in that depth of your squat and your gluts. Also check your mechanics. I have other videos in my channel showing how to squat properly. Hope this helps.🙏

    • @restorepluspt
      @restorepluspt  3 месяца назад

      A little of the knee turning inward during squatting is acceptable @morganh5611. Usually it should be even on both sides. If not or if it is a lot, strengthen your hip abductors (gluts medius). I have some videos showing how to do that. Sidelying straight leg raise and clam shell exercises are good examples. I hope this helps.

    Suddenly and without warning I lost a knee jerk reflex on my left leg. I also lost ability to push up on this leg from a squat. If laying flat on my back, I can not lift my leg off the floor, not even a fraction of an inch. How could my quad muscles weaken so drastically over night?

    • @restorepluspt
      @restorepluspt  9 месяцев назад

      I'm sorry to see this @samkitty5894. The muscle can weaken that quickly if there is a nerve involvement. Atrophy and deconditioning do not cause weakness that quick. I recommend seeing a doctor or a specialist soon. Losing your reflex can be a sign of a more serious issue. Hope this points you in the right direction.🙏
