So update :- I cleared CEH on October 2023 and when I was in market I realised it's hard getting a entry level job with 0 experience even though I have certificate I am Btech final year student. So I did got offers and they were pretty disappointing but From market analysis I would like to say this you might have to work free to get experience in order to get an opportunity to get an entry level job in a good company. PS,:- I decided to go with bug bounty I am a freelancer now . Also I am in my btech 8th semester

I'm a 3rd year engineering undergraduate from NIT Durgapur. I've a very strong command over computer programming in multiple languages and computer fundamentals. As far as salary is concerned I'm sure I'll be able to crack a company offering atleast 17 LPA on campus for SDE role. But Cyber security is something that really fascinates me. Sir, you are the only people whom i can seek guidance from. Should i remain in software field only? Or i may try to explore this field as well? Will it be worth it in my case? Cyber security is about breaking softwares and code
It should be your choice what suits you, they both can be combined to make DevSecOps, that is also a career path you can choose, so both are interrelated

THERE'S NO JOBS FOR FRESHERS. IF NO COMPANY HIRES FRESHERS THEN HOW SOMEONE GET INTO CYBERSECURITY AND HAVE CORPORATE EXPERIENCE.
Market is not very good now a legitimate hike also not provided in big coms. Last year freshers got 30-40% hike now this year sec professional having years of exp oscp cert getting hike of 10% max.
How is the situation would be in early 2024 ,as I'm quite confused between cybersecurity and data analyst so.. and I have gap of 6yr because prepration 😅 would it affect getting into cybersecurity? Please do reply it would be helpful

Can you plz suggest me some courses or certifications related to the field to get placed in a good company. And can u plz suggest some budget friendly ones , The CEH of Ec Council is kind of expensive .
Oscp is the best certificate for offensive security/pentesters you can also do ejpt V2 or compTIA pentester+ these are much cheaper than OSCP but I will still suggest OSCP cause that's the most in demand certificate
I have telecom Exp approx. 14+ years. Is Simply learn Expert Master program is good for me as well. Is this course valid for blue team content.

No manual pentesting will never be removed by ai
tbh developer jobs are more in danger than cybersecurity jobs . but both wont get replaced by ai completely anytime soon

It depends, if the employer tells you explicitly that 20 is base, then it is, CTC consists of many other things stocks, pf, special allowances etc so it is higher
