Heads up to everyone there is a journal companion to this deck (last I saw it was $17 on Amazon, $20 on Llewellyn) that has large depictions of the art.
Ohhh also wanted to add about the Dandelion - it’s probably portrayed as a lion as the name comes from french “dent de lion” meaning lions tooth or teeth, which refers to the shape of the leafs as well as flower petals it has 🤓 #plantnerd
I love that you know shit! And now that you’ve mentioned it (which thank you for mentioning it btw), I think it also tells that story in the guidebook. Really hoping for all kinds plant goodness in 2023 - via both gardening *and* using this deck. Oh and learning to use oghams.
Omg this is awesome. I walked up the road today and saw hundreds of them. I pick them and feed them to the racehorses here. 😂 I live near a racecourse. 😂. Now I will think of these flowers as lions. I love this cool fact.
Aww you must have some nice sentiments and memories attached to them then. And oh wow, they really do resemble Solomon’s Seals. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts 💗
Aww I’m glad you think so. I still think about that deck too, but I’m afraid that if I bought a new copy, it would be like “you again? I thought I told you it was over between us” lol. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! 💕
"... but if you ingest too much of it, it stops all your involuntary muscle contractions which is horrifying... but it is a beautiful plant..." Hahaha... I like the incantation in your voice. I have ordered the deck but I fear it just somehow won't go with the rest of my fae decks... not sure. And yet the art is beautiful. Thank you for the walkthrough.
Omg right? Isn’t it gorgeous? I could so use these as totes or tapestries. I’m glad you had a good time w the watch, and hoping you’ll have a good time w the deck as well! Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! 💗
Love it! I got it for myself for Christmas and haven't opened it yet. Lol! I was so tickled by the way u said "interesting" when u were reading about hellebore...thanks for the chuckle! 😆
LOL thank you and you’re welcome lol. I’m so glad you’re excited to work with it! I love a good plant deck and this like 90s metal band/fantasy novel art style is just so perfect for the theme. Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts! 💗
Can't wait to check it out for myself!🤩 Right now I've been in love with the Tarot of Mystical Moments. Do u have it? So great with the surrealism! 😍 Wanted to reccomend the Herbcrafter's Tarot if u haven't seen it yet. Really cool plant themed deck with a great granny vibe to it, lol!🌿 I'm just a tarot noob but since I got hooked on tarotube during the pandemic I've amassed quite a collection of decks. 🤭 Secrets of the Mystic Grove is an oracle deck I really love- more flower oriented than plants but very cool art.🌷I think you'll dig it! Loving the channel! 🤗 Looking forward to binge watching!❣
I saw this deck last year on Llewellyn's ''What's Coming Next and saw this and like you '' I lost my Sh%/ too. It's on my wishlist but am holding off to get it either mid Fall or Early 2024. I have The Seed & Sickle mid Summer and I love that deck so I would like to work with that deck for 2023 before I purchase this Botanical Oracle Deck. I know thid deck is up my alley, from rhe artwork, the Author and the Artist and the planetary Symbols, yes my Gothic Heart is loving this. Thank You so much for this walk through!!!
Oh that makes total sense to hold off until 2024 then. Plant decks feel like a much deeper undertaking to me than your non-plant Oracle decks, so totally get it. I’m glad you also dig the artwork and all! Thanks for watching!
Hi Logan. Any idea of the exact translation of the Japanese characters on the 5 Camellia card? I'm guessing, obviously, that they'd be more keywords denoting love, feelings, calmness, gratefulness, appreciation of beauty, etc. Anyone out there know?
Hiya! So I went ahead and took a photo of the artwork, and then used my phone’s translate feature on the art. According to it, and according to some Google translate play afterward, it means something along the lines of “moon, water, beauty.” My phone’s translate feature registered the writing as mandarin, but the characters (so far as I can tell) are the same in Japanese. I’m assuming it was written with Japanese kanji, as the camellia flower on the card is Japanese, but I found it interesting that traditional Japanese kanji and traditional Chinese characters have similarities.
@@LarkandLegend Right lovely of you, Logan, to delve into this further for me! Mandarin, alright. I just took a stab that the script was Japanese, and was shortly about to search out some natives. Appreciate your kindness, resourcefulness and effort. Thank you! 💯🤍
❤Thank you for this fantastic walk through. Now I'm definitely going to get this deck! Also, thanks for your comedic diatribes, I like a little glitter and wit in my deck learning. 😂
Oh thank you, that’s so kind haha. I’m glad it helped you to make up your mind, diatribes and all 🤣 thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! 💖
Hello! New follower here. I found you through Martyn, after watching his review of your Lenormand decks. This deck is just stunning. I had no idea you live in Pennsylvania! So do I. I have bleeding hearts at my hubby's house and he has Angel Trumpet vines that he's grown for 30 years now. So it's totally doable. Thank you for this video.
Hi and thank you for the follow! Oh Martyn is a delight 💗 and hi neighbor! 👋 oh that’s great to know that the angel’s trumpets aren’t super difficult to grow up here, and yay for more bleeding hearts love! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for watching!
I was very excited to see this deck! I received it in the past week, I had a heap of new releases on preorder & they all arrived at once. This is very special to me, as is the Herbal Astrology oracle that also arrived. Both stunning art, different styles & I haven't had the chance to really get into these yet but plant decks are always best. My Celtic heart has so many Celtic, tree & plant decks & I'm not even sorry 😆 I promise, I don't always leave long comments 🥴😊 Just that this deck is worth a little blabbering 💚 thanks for the enjoyable video. x
Oh that sounds like a very exciting mail haul for you! And what’s with everything all coming in at once? I feel like that’s generally the way of it with deck arrivals 😆 I love that you’ve got a whole garden/arboretum of plant decks! I love them too, though I don’t have many yet. Have you seen the A Little Rain flower oracle from ambisun, the creator of Oriens Tarot? It’s got a lot of plants in it that I haven’t seen in decks before and is on preorder rn. Also it’s gorg ✨and long comment away - it’s always fun engaging and I’m thankful people watching have thoughts to share! Thank you for watching and for sharing your thoughts! 💖
Ha! I think that’s probably going to be the general consensus, honestly. I usually prefer more cards, but I think w plant medicine I can deal with fewer as there’s (for me at least) a lot to absorb.
Lol I love the way you described me, this was utterly glorious. Thank you, thank you. I’m so excited for you to have this. It’s freaking gorgeous, isn’t it? Loving the dandelion card soooo much. I mean, of course, right? When you mentioned being done with certain decks, I felt similar about starchild, like we were done together and I’d had my help. Loved this anyways. Love you. All the love really. 🖤🖤
Idr what I said, but I assume I called you a magnificent goblin or some such, which I stand by. 🖤 Of course the Leo would fancy the Lion card 🤣 Oh I’m curious now - what decks have told you that it’s time to move on from working w them? All the love back, you glorious demoness 💖
Yeah I’m over the giant box deck packaging as well (let the hurling boxes at walls challenge begin! 😂 lol don’t know if you remember that convo but we were talking about durability of deck packaging on a live a few weeks ago). My mom grows bleeding hearts (I’m in Southern Ontario in Canada). We had mostly pink and some white. I was always super fascinated by the shape of the flowers. 😍
Ahhhh! Oh I totally remember that convo, I just didn’t realize that was you! An excellent challenge that still needs to happen 🤣 that’s so cool about your mom growing bleeding hearts! Any tips for a newbie seeking to grow them? 👀💗✨
Haha right? I love it when one card really changes your mind about getting a deck. One way or the other lol. For me it was the datura and then bleeding hearts making a 1-2 punch

Oooh thank you for the heads up! The art is gorgeous so getting to see it better would be rad ✨
Love you're excitement over the deck. I bought it and can't wait to read the book as well. The artwork is right up my alley!
Oh thanks! 😆💕 I hope you get on splendidly with the book! And ikr? That art is 🤌✨ thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! 💗

My grandmother loved bleeding hearts. They grow in shade and look kind of like Solomons Seal. This oracle is beautiful and may go on my wish list.
Aww you must have some nice sentiments and memories attached to them then. And oh wow, they really do resemble Solomon’s Seals. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts 💗
That is a really cool way to look at a deck that needs to be rehomed ❤ that is a super sweet way to look at it
