You can also use mouse and keyboard on PS5. However, I find myself having an easier time with the gamepad as I started my Planet Coaster gaming on PS5. After including a gaming pc into my life, I find myself struggling with both Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster with k&m.
Interesting. In my case, I doubt it would've occurred to me to use anything other than the old Xbox controller, lol. Too much of a tried and true console user. But it is interesting that you prefer the Dual Sense even after using keyboard and mouse for a while. Wide range of experiences/preferences here already. I wonder if others have the same experience...?
@@JeffBowlesCentralEntertainment I just like to lounge back in my chair rather than lean forward to use my mouse and keyboard. Laziness is the culprit here :)
@@JeffBowlesCentralEntertainment I bought a tablet on a site and they gave me $20 of rewards to spend only on their site. Love these games so I bought a combo on sale for $25 so spent $3.94 total just to try, I never knew what I'd spend it on but here's a low risk way to see if I like M&K. I think I would but I'm wondering how I will get comfortable on the couch with it lol
Hey Jeff, Really enjoyed watching this RUclips video on “Planet Zoo”. You did a great job on walking us (me) through it. Looks like a cool game, for sure. Question: what is Tycoon? Thanks again! Great video!
Thanks, my friend. Enjoy your feedback as always. And thank you for watching. The Tycoon series had a lot of different sims in it, including Zoo Tycoon and Roller Coaster Tycoon, which I think were probably the two most popular. They were kind of forerunners of the modern Planet series, which so far has included Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo. Both are great sims, by the way. Kind of complicated, as you can probably tell by the video, but totally worth it if you're willing to spend the time learning all the systems. Very rewarding. :)
@@JeffBowlesCentralEntertainment Oh, okay… They were previous versions leading up to this version (as well as the previous version of a rollercoaster game). Thank you for clarifying.
@morsecode5078 - I kind of put that in to caution those used to mouse & keyboard or those not used to a gamepad in any way. I'm like you, a gamepad user. Not too too bad for me, but some of the more microscopic or twitch stuff presented a slight frustration.
This is a frontier game. If you have played Planet Coaster, then you have played this. If not, then it will have a curve. Instead of putting down your new RMC, you're putting down your new elephant enclosure. If your coaster breaks. Down, you don't fix it. It won't run if you don't feed your elephants. They die the same mechanic. Same staff, food, and drink mechanic. Like I said, this is a Frontier game.Once you get the hang of it, they're both very fun.
is there a sandbox mode on the game (where there is a bit less management)
Yes there is
Yup. Management is still a factor, but your resources are unlimited. That's been my wife's favorite mode so far. 🙂
@@JeffBowlesCentralEntertainmentdo you have everything unlocked in sandbox mode?
@DinkWhit - No, not everything. We aren't much for completionists, lol. Did end up with a couple DLC packs, though. Lots of stuff to play with. 🙂

Guess I’m just used to a controller, but I have no issues with it. Very pleased with the game and its controls.

Bias review when it comes to the game pad and mouse + keyboard. Gamepad feels good to use
The worst review I've ever seen 😂😂😂 don't quit the day job
