Let's go! I'm from the Quad Cities. I'm 19, and I live in East Moline. But I spent the first 7 years in Rock Island.

Your fiance did a great job helping out in this video! I'd love more Illinois content. Moline and Rock Island have so much history and their downtown revitalizations are going to be awesome as you mentioned. Plus some cool new locations going in downtown (like Take Cover that opened this last week)

I was touring davenport last night with google street view and it reminds me of Portland Oregon back when it was nice in the 80's...there's no graffiti or trash, sidewalks clean...it looks very upper middle class yet somehow more affordable than here in Oregon....AND BETTER....

1st of all, your girl has GREAT dimples, she's a cutie. Now, I've noticed in your videos you tend to accentuate the Downtowns and high end neighborhoods. I get it, thats where you make the most money, but I think you are short changing some of the history of the Quads. Most notably, IMHO, are things like the Rock Island Arsenal. RIA history goes back to before the Civil War. Then there is is Olde Town on 7th street in Moline, so much history in that area. You talked about the gangster that ran Rock Island but you don't mention The Plantation - Velie Mansion
in Moline where the Chicago mobs use to meet during the Capone days. I get you're Betendorf centric, but I think you could expand your channel by talking about more of the history of the Quads. You don't talk about Colonel Davenport. I'm sure you don't see Silvis as a highlight of any Quad Cities tour, but there is a very famous memorial in Silvis called Hero Street, I'll leave it to you to research if you are so inclind. I guess my point of all of this is you are ignoring so much of the history and original culture of the Quad Cities that your clients might find interesting. Just a thought.

I really appreciate your input. Some of the things you mentioned I didn't know about. I'll have to do some research on them and possibly add them into a video or two

@@LIVINGINTHEQUADCITIES if you have any questions feel free to ask. I'm no expert by any means. I'm 65, even a lot of my contemporaries don't know or have forgotten a lot of history in the Quads. I like your channel and your content and the way you present it. I would like to see it grow.
