This trailer was incredible, I can't wait to play it.
I wonder what they'll do with the story as it didn't end well for the vikings in England!
Maybe they dont make the story as it is in our world.Maybe Vikings win,who knows
Actually many Vikings assimilated and converted to Christianity.
Good point! I was looking up various battles after stream last night and doing some reading into our history, I do wonder if they'll use real battles and places to take inspiration from!
@@Staceyofgotham I think they'll use real historical battles or events, and perhaps It could end like Black Flag, where almost all pirates are wiped out or join enemy's side.
Remember it is an honor for a Viking to die in battle
I walked the sand of Egypt, carried the Greek shield upon my arm. When you see us it will be too late, our raiding party will be among you.
Heck to the yes!!
Frickin Norway! OMG!
As a Norwegian it’s gonna be painful to hear how many will butcher our Norse names but hopefully they got Norwegian or Scandinavian voice actors so that they can pronounce our names, gods and everything the proper way. But judging by Eivar when he said Odin is with us he said it Odin wrong so I doubt it
They did!! twitter.com/AshrafAIsmail/status/1256283391592366082?s=19
Stacey Rebecca ahhhhhh they’re danish😡😡😡 the danish language is so ugly and so much more inferior than Norwegian. The messed up there
@@Felix-fx1zu Yikes imagine being you
The trailer is disgustingly beautiful ❤️
He is the main character called Eivor
According to google In Norse it's a name mostly used for girls
We can play as a girl just like we could play as kassandra
However like Kassandra was the figurehead of the last game I think this character is going to be male (game covers, books ect,) with the option to play as female in the game
Either way we will get something great as it has been in production for two years
I dont know actually, the launch trailer for Odyssey also focused solely on Alexios and he was on all the game art too so it could go either way tbh! We still have a while to wait and see how it all plays out 💕
@@Staceyofgotham Thanks for replying I hope my previous comment did not offend. I looks on the official AC wiki and there definitely is a female character and if you scroll down and look at the special editions she will be released as a statue. I for one am happy either way we I love the show Vikings and am a big fan of Norse mythology (my icon is Thor from marvel lol ). Neil Gaiman wrote a Norse mythology book and it's worth a read before this game cones out
@@rorieb20 Not at all, I'm enjoying the speculation and discussion. It's so nice having other AC fans to talk theories with 🥰
Those are same characters. It's just a gender switch, unlike Odyssey.
According to sources I’ve heard, you will still get to choose between a male or female protagonist 🤙🏼
Yep, that's now confirmed which makes me very happy. Can't wait to see her!!
@@Staceyofgotham I think they already revealed her in the collectors edition. The statue you get, is her.
@@SuperThisen Yeah I saw! It's not that detailed though so I'm excited to see her character model in game 🥰
Stacey Rebecca Yeah!
well you start in Norway but you reach England later in the game
It won't have naval combat, the boat will only be for traveling, exploring and raids, the naval tecnology was not advance at the time so.
Vikings fought people at sea irl. They used to board the ship and not exchange spears or artillery.
Yes I saw that we've had this confirmed since the trailer dropped. Pretty pleased tbh, naval combat was always my least favourite part of the previous games. Looking forward to zooming around England on my longboat 🥰
@@Staceyofgotham Who knows maybe will see some surprises, but yeah I also can't wait to explore England on my longboat.❤
The game will feature four Kingdoms, Northumbria, Wessex, East Anglia, and Mercia along with 3 major cities, My home town York, London and Winchester. There won't be naval Combat! The Vikings only used the longships to travel and not combat.
Ooh where's this info from about the kingdoms/cities?! I haven't heard this yet!
@@Staceyofgotham It came from Click a Tech show on the BBC in the UK, hope this helps. twitter.com/BBCClick/status/1255906038030700546?s=20
@@thewidowmaker4037 Thank you so much, I hadn't seen this interview yet. Love it 🥰
@@Staceyofgotham Thank you Stacey, sooo excited for Valhalla, the trailer was epic, and ooh gosh the return of the hidden blade, i swear a chill went right through me. Roll on Thursday for the gameplay reveal, 4pm UK time.
I think I'm in love with Eivor (male viking protagonist)
0:47 I was wearing headphones with 75% volume
The excitement cannot be contained 🤣
We and double wield any combo of weapon and lots of customisation...... Can't wait for it!!!

@@Staceyofgotham From sources, we are raid with our allies in different kingdoms and forts 😍

New assassin's creed Valhalla looks amazing
U could play as a Female and also customize hair, beard and tattoos
Female with custom beard 🔥
Julle lol
@@jkorkea Heck yes let me have a beard
Beard? What?
Maybe.
I really didn't like this.
The trailer made it look like what I can assume is king Alfred's words were lies or deceit. I hate that, he was known as "the great" for a reason, Britain were people defending their lands., same goes for France.
It'd be nice if it was rather like Rogue and actually had the assassins (this time vikings) be somewhat corrupt and have your character realize that, then have conflicting feelings for either side to the point they joined the Templars (this time England) to stop them.
We know the vikings (a group of "free" folk) eventually joined civilization and order after being slapped by reality- that is pretty Templar like if you ask me.
They should have just gone with the flow of things and history, plus lets not forget how many fans are crying about it not being assassins creed enough anymore- this idea would save that.
In short if you somehow dont know like ubisoft is somehow choosing not to-
Vikings= Heavily glorified to the point they are loved, rapists, murderers, pillagers, thieves
Western countries like France and England= Victims, defenders, the actual unsung heroes of this part of history
Make the vikings Assassins with broken morals or deeper corruption and have England be actually good willed Templars like in rogue having to put a stop to them. This then creates a nice balance of left and right- Freedom and Order, dont tip the scales.
Christ, it gets easier by the day to be better than the designers in most of media.
Or be lazy and just do another Odyssey- god knows it'll be a replica of gameplay anyways, have it so you cant have any influence on the larger overarching background war whilst you deal with underground shiz, dont make the good people bad just because modern culture deems vikings as "cool".
You're making a lot of assumptions from a 4 minute trailer, my dude 😂
@@Staceyofgotham Idk tho, its pretty clear what the trailer is trying to get across in who the protagonist and antagonists are.
And thanks for the response.
@@JayTraversJT I just mean its difficult to judge the story completely when we aren't there yet. But yes, they're definitely treating the Vikings as the good guys in this. I personally dont mind whether AC games are perfectly historically accurate or not (I mean, you could just read a book 😂), as long as they tell a good story.
@@Staceyofgotham
Its not so bad to glorify the vikings (as always) its more about making the victims in this point of history the villains. That's pretty wack.
Not to mention AC defiantly makes figures of history villains- but not entire countries unless rightly so, this is a first if i'm not mistaken for history to be completely twisted unironically in this series.
If it was full on fantasy then id agree but whilst AC is defiantly got its fantasy the plot revolves around historic events and tries to base itself off reality.
And don't get me wrong i still love vikings, but you gotta be realistic about it, it gives people a false understanding and further dramatizes who they actually where, especially considering the size of the following.
And its not a bad thing they did what they did, Personally I believe it'd only make a more complex character and story for the game. I'm a much bigger advocate to an evil character learning and progressing then twisted history.
@@JayTraversJT Also if i recall they made the byzantines the bad guys and the turks the good guys back at revelations, even though the byzantines were defending their city but this game is rumored to be much more of an rpg and much deeper in story than the previous installments so maybe you have a choice to go with king Alfred or if you don't want that you can slice his throat and be done with him, anyway we'll see when it comes out!
... Did u just say "Do we get to be a lady tho?" 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️😂😂😂
