      Hi Nenad! Nice, I still have everything prepared for DIY ZigBee version of the project.
      I've seen some really nice esp ones too, but decided to go with this one for nowm

      I did the same thing with a relay to control the unlock button. But havent got a chance to look into getting the ring or audio/video working. My initial thought was to pick up the voltage on the speakers. Not sure if that's the right approach. Would like to get some more ideas. I also thought of using a logical analyser to reverse engineer each of the wires, but this seems too much work.😆

    I used to have a Nuki opener for intercom, but its compatibility is not as good as advertised. The older the intercom the better.

      What was the problem you had? Was your intercom listed?

    Hello, great vid !
    Do i need the bridge to make the door opener function or with it is not necessary if I have the 3.0 Pro ?
    Thanks

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  Год назад

      Not really sure 100% - as Opener is still original version, I believe it does need it, but on the other hand, there were some changes to Pro version firmware - maybe they managed to do it. You should check with Nuki support - if I would bet, I would put my money on the bridge, that it is still required.

      I can't answer you that. You need to contact Nuki support for your specific device if it's not available in app.

    Thanks for the video, I already have a Nuki 3 pro without the need to have a bridge, I'm thinking of buying this opener, since you need the bridge for this do you think I can have both recognized in Home Assistant? my Nuki 3 pro and the bridge for the opener?

    • @BeardedTinker

      Haven't tried 3.0 so far. But Pro should also be able to work with hub and this HACS component.
      Also, Nuki 3.0 Pro without hub should also work with this HACS integration but via cloud API.

      @@BeardedTinker the 3 pro I already have it working, I’m just not sure if the integration will be able to handle the 3 pro and the bridge for the opener at the same time

    Hello, Excellent work. I want to install Nuki Opener with the TEGUI 1378/1 Intercom, but to no avail. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

      Check Nuki forum and ask Nuki support. I spent a few days on forums and then asked support when I was 95% sure how to do it.

      Thanks a lot for your reply.
      Nuki support is not helpful at all. I called them but they their response is more of a problem than an answer or a solution. I sent them a photo of the inside of Intercom panel and asked a simple question: can I install Nuki opener on this Intercom and how??. Their answer was "check our website and try but at your own risk". The person on the other side of line is definitely not an electrician nor does she have a clue about installation process. Really frustrating purchase. Never trust these people

    Does Nuki Opener integrate with Home Assistant without Bridge?

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  3 года назад

      No, unfortunately it doesn't. You need bridge as it adds cloud but also local direct control.

    I live in a gated community and my intercom opens 2 doors 1 main garage door at the gate second normal door at my building is there anyway since my household is 4 and this shit community only give u 2 keys so It will be a life saver I'm already a Nuki owner and I love it plz help is possible to use both buttons on my intercom

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  2 года назад

      I really am not sure. This depends on multiple things, first is of course compatibility with intercom.
      I did see in Niki developer forum Sam talk about using two buttons on intercom, but can't remember if and waht solution was.
      Try also reaching to Nuki support. They answered me very quickly and were very helpful.
