- In this video, I'll show you how to get from the Brandenburg Berlin Airport into the city center, including how to find routes on the transport app and how to buy paper tickets from the machine. You'll also learn which trains go into the city and what they each look like.

You are an angel! Berlin will be my first ever solo trip in October and as someone who suffers with anxiety, this video has put me so much at ease. Thank you!
Nice and helpful. When I visited Berlin last October I took the FEX into the city, then changed to the U-Bahn to get to my destination. No problems. Heading back to the airport, I walked to a station to get the S9 instead of the U-Bahn so I wouldn't have to transfer. That morning, however, the S-Bahn trains weren't running for some reason! I panicked a little but walked on to a bigger station where, fortunately, I was able to get on a Regional train to BER (and got there faster than if I'd managed to get on the S9 as planned).
There are no escalators down to the platforms at the airport, only up, so be prepared to use a lift/elevator if you have luggage. This also seems to be the same at some U-bahn and S-bahn stations. There are 3 travel zones for cost purposes and the airport is in the outer C zone; be aware of this when travelling back to the airport. Also the public transport system is barrier-free so you don't have to worry about negotiating turnstiles or barrier gates whilst pulling your luggage. Just make sure you have a valid ticket to show the inspectors if they ask..... and of course the fares have risen since this video was made :-(
I think Google Maps is a far efficient tool for this
Thank you soooo much for this video. You give the clearest instructions with appropriate video shots without overwhelming the neophyte to Berlin. By far and away the best video to help tourists navigate their way through the airport arrivals to the trains.
Also please, is it possible to buy an extension ticket from ticket machines, am thinking if I have AB ticket and need to travel to airport last day
so I can use the ticket for any of trains I want, right?
hi ali we are visiting berlin in march and just wanted to ask you something. excuse me if this sounds silly lol. i want to buy a 48hr ticket from the app you included in the video, can i still validate it if it is on my phone?
Hi, when I want to buy a ticket including switch, will they be separate tickets or one ticket? thanks in advance
Thank you so much. This video is great, really clear , easy to follow instructions. I'm going to Berlin in December, can't wait
You're amazing! So clear. I managed to make it from the airport to my hotel for a €4.40 instead of $85 by taxi. Thank you.
