Paying $10,000 plus for a purse is sooo incredably stupid!!! They're all made in China these days and often times the really good fakes are made in the exact same factory, on the exact same asembly line as the authentic ones. I have a friend who actually used to work for a high end designer company in China. His job was selecting which factory to use to produce the designer product. The factory that is manufacturing the authentic product just produces their order for Chanel, or Hermes, or whatever, and then they just run through an extra 1,000 bags to sell on the replica market. THE HIGHER END $500 PLUS REPLICA BAGS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME EVERYTYHING. NEVER EVER WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A REAL DESIOGNER BAG!!!
I think you're misinforming people regarding the white dustbag. Authentic does bag does have a paint feeling when you touch it. My authentic jumbo and medium flap is purchased directly from the boutique and their dustbags looks and feel like the "fake" dustbag. Also the screws being flat or round is depending on the year the bag is made too. The CC lock varies from year to year so is the screw. There are bags that has been authenticated by reputable authenticator such as AuthenticFirst and Etinceler comes with the round head screws.
Agree. There is a lot of misinformation on this post. I was interested in watching this as I do like to buy pre-owned and want to avoid fake bags, but the video's information is inaccurate. Like you, my authentic jumbo from CC shop has a white dustbag with paint you can feel. Also, yes, all of her points on shape of CC lock and the screw type etc and even the puffiness of the quilts--these are all variable depending on year of bag! and puffiness wears over time! Guess will be sticking to authentication services! :)
Even their caviar can be different. The year I bought mine (from Paris Boutique), the caviar seem softer than the years before n after. The leathers are always in batches, including seasonal pieces that might have different hardware , hardware tones etc?

I don’t believe Chanel is an investment because it’s not worth what you are spending on it, regardless if they raise their prices. Hermes, on the other hand, is/can be an investment because the quality is there. I think Hermes Birkins, Kellys and Constance bags are the only bags you can truly call an investment. To me, I just buy bags that I plan to keep forever, whether their Hermes, Chanel, LV or whatever?
