To continue on the same level after you run out of lives, wait until the ''Game over'' screen goes away. Then, on the title screen, HOLD DOWN A+B while pressing SELECT 5 times. Let go of A+B, and press start.
The wires started falling out of the included knob controller, but it played just fine with the D pad. Lots of levels and power ups. Good for just chilling and playing.
Okay. This has to be TAS. There's no way you never miss the ball once at ludicrous speeds AND angle it in the right spot flawlessly, clearing levels in seconds.
You are probably playing the JP version which has some slight differences, one of those being the bottom row of blocks in round 3 has many gold blocks instead of breakable blocks.

Ahhh, yes! The days of using game codes were so fun! 🚫DLC's, 🚫 Micro transactions and rarely any save points (unless you were playing an RPG.) 😎✨

Why on 3rd Stage a bit different from mine? Mine was on the bottom line, filled with golden bars until the 3 bars on the right
