How is the violence expected to reduce after the hostages are out?
It's not, but it would be a big PR victory for Joe Biden and Natanyahu, vindicating their "strategy" of letting Israel genocide Gaza.
But for Gaza? there is no guarantee that this will stop or prevent future Israeli aggression. Most likely the opposite. It will embolden them.

The US and other western nations have very strange definitions of a ceasefire.
Under their definition, even if Israel is bombing Gaza, raiding Gaza, killing Palestinians, the ceasefire is still in place.

If Israel is unwilling to allow in humanitarian aid in sufficient quantities in order to avert mass starvation and famine, it could of course open its borders to the displaced Palestinian civilians and give them food plus equal human rights with the local population. After all, it is responsible under international law for the safety of the civilian population in the lands it occupies. It should also plan for the rebuilding of Gaza and make full reparations for the mass slaughter and destruction that it has wrought on the civilian population. Meanwhile, where are the US aid trucks that could get aid in safely (without being impeded by the IDF)? Dropping in 35,000 meals daily from the shy, while welcome as a US-led relief gesture, is not going to feed a civilian population of over 2 million people.
Is it acceptable to have an opinion on the Hamas/Israel war? I believe it is.
