„Auf den Wegen von Darwin“ ("In the Footsteps of Darwin"): Entertaining tile collection game for 2 to 5 players aged 8 and up (Grégory Grard and Matthieu Verdier at Sorry We Are French).
Young Darwin was brash, but we are explorers! With his ship, the "Beagle", we sail across the game table to discover new animal species. The small wooden ship sails around a display of nine tiles. These can be animals or helpful historical figures. We can take a tile for our research book from the row or column where the "Beagle" is currently moored. The entertaining game ends as soon as everyone has collected twelve of them. We can receive victory points in various ways: for particularly great animals, for successful specialisations in geographical areas or animal classes and for collected publications.

"Auf den Wegen von Darwin" combines a manageable, coherent and easily explained set of rules with exuberant joy in the realisation of the theme. The short turns with many options feel rewarding and generate a high level of replayability. The beautiful set helps to attract new research crews on board the "Beagle".
