Blackberry spice is amazing warming and I didn’t think I would love it. Love maple rum cake warming. Cozy vanilla pumpkin is my favorite. I warm it with cinnamon vanilla in alternating warmers. Silver bells is my favorite during the Christmas. Thanks for sharing this haul.
Welcome 🤗 I will most definitely be trying that mix! I have a full Icicles & Evergreen brick coming in, and I have soooo many Perfect Peppermint bars in my collection. Thanks for the suggestion!
I agree! I don’t have patience to wait for things to cure anyway 😂 I need to get a room spray in white amber and silk. I do love that scent- wish it was stronger. Love all your picks in this haul .
Love your haul! I haven’t even ordered bricks yet. 😂 if my wax is still hard I use the scentsy spatulas from the consultant store. I love fluffy fleece , Christmas cottage and very snowy spruce in the fragrance flowers. I never really let bars sit 😂 I tend to go through wax pretty quick in some cases. Of course wild for fall is my number 1 of the harvest collection 😂 I did mix sips of cider and farmstand pumpkin together and it was soo delightful! I can’t stand blueberry cheesecake it goes rancid for me 🤮 I have to change it instantly. Be merry is such a favorite! Always goes into my club at the end of the season. If we had goody goody gumdrops back you would so enjoy it. Tinsel berry has transformed it more like perfectly pomegranate is all I smell from it. Warming it does change but on cold it’s more like. PPomagrante.
Hi Joshua! I used to love Fluffy Fleece. It was a favourite of mine and then someone said something about it and it kind of ruined it for me 😢 Love Christmas Cottage! I also go through wax quick. I don’t like to let it sit for years 😂 I don’t think I’ve ever warmed Be Merry, so I’m intrigued to see how it is! Goody Goody Gumdrops sounds so nice!! I’ve never heard of that one! From a number of years back, I’m assuming?
Totally agree about bars being ripe and ready to go! I truly can’t remember if it used to be that way. I’ve been warming off and on since 2012 maybe, and I don’t ever recall thinking a scent was weak out of the gate. Im part of the large following who believes they changed the base recipe a few years back, and with that this curing issue developed. I can say for a fact I remember a cube of wax from 2012 lasting for nearly a week - not just a day or two. Scentsy claims we’ve simply gone nose blind, but I can certainly smell something off about that statement. I’m happy to club my favorites at the end of the season so they’re ready to go next year. With the catalog changing in September 2023 there’s not enough time for them to sit around. I suppose we’ll just have to deal with the new releases as we did this year. Fabulous haul, always fun watching your videos! I do agree Hocus Pocus has a bit of a “mature’ note to it. I’m a bit nervous😂
I agree with you about curing. When I get a bar I want to be able to use it right away. However I just got my September club order and I have a bunch of bars that have the old clamshells and I did check a few dates some are from 2018 and 2020. I also feel that if I am paying full price (not clearance) they should be new bars not yellow clam shells, old clams and juicy. You never know your wassail wonderland might come back from what I hear they circulate with the scents of the season. White amber and silk performed really well for me in my bedroom. I did one cube in a 25w warmer (dream catcher warmer) and one cube in an element warmer (diamond milk glass) it over took my bedroom so I hope that the bar works for you as it’s really nice. I actually get a “beach” feel to this bar when it’s warmed
I 100% agree with you Jessica! If they’re sending you bars that were poured in 2018-2020, I believe there should be a discount of some sort…especially since Scentsy recommends people using their bars in the first year for optimal performance…
I'm with your husband on the blueberry cheesecake. I've kept trying it to see if maybe I just got a bad bar or two, but no, what I keep getting with it is a strange plastic scent. I know it's weird eh, but that's honestly what I smell everytime. Great haul! Many of those are my favs as well.
Sounds like both our husbands hate BBC 🤣 I agree with your POV regarding curing. Scentsy isnt vendor wax and if the waxes truly need to cure, it should be posted as such. That said, Ive found it to be true with a few scents like Honeymoon Hideaway. Geeat video, TFS!
I agree with everything you’re saying! And ooooooooo I should’ve let Honeymoon Hideaway sit. I LOVE the smell of that one cold, but got NOTHING when I warmed it.
I let most of my bars sit for months. I already ordered a few more fall/winter bars to store and use up next fall/winter. I really do notice a difference.
Good to know, and I appreciate hearing your experience! I have also noticed changes in performance depending on how old a bar is. I think the part that bums me out is not being able to smell anything. And then expecting every consumer to know to let things sit, instead of it curing properly at Scentsy home office. But 🤷🏼♂️ oh well! I will play around with letting things sit a while. Thanks for watching and letting me know your thoughts/experience! Love your display name, Frodough!
@@trevors21scents Thank you 😊 It’s part of my nerdy side that enjoys experimenting with bars. I do get bothered when it’s a limited time scent or bring back my bar for example because one month may not be enough time to see how well a bar can cure 😐. I have smelled something months later and it’s awesome but I didn’t club it because it wasn’t great when I received it and it was still available. Silver bells and Be Merry are my holiday favorites.
I agree with you about the curing process, but I would guess Scentsy, is pouring a nit later still due to consequences from the pan….. I feel like we remember sometimes in certain circumstances, but not all. They aren’t telling us, but they probably don’t want to bring it up, and place blame.
Agree with you about curing. I've had it happen though. Summer Rain was way weak now a few months later, it is smelling a lot stronger! Disappointing as I didn't club it.
Oh for sure. I’ve noticed changes in performance. I believe the proper curing for optimal performance should be done before we get the bars, but 🤷🏼♂️ I’ll still be over here spending money either way 😂 Love Summer Rain btw!
Hey Trevor! Nice haul! I’m in the same camp on Bright Cider Life….previously did not care for it, but that’s been awhile, so I plan to revisit it this year. We’ll see. I have been loving the old classic Cider Mill lately. Thanks for sharing! Happy Fall Melting!😊
Will fall or autumn scents come back every year? Like the ones available now?? I'm new here so a few of them I'm enjoying and wondering if they will be back next season? Or how long will scentsy hold them up till. Hopefully I'm making sense.
@@trevors21scents Awesome, middle of nowhere is nice and quiet! I'm in a small town, in south western Ontario (the most southerly town of all of Canada). Lol
I too get a little salty about bars that need babysitting-if I buy a carrot or a pair of socks, I intend to eat the carrot and wear the socks the same day they come home. I CAN cure a bar, I’m a scent weirdo and have lots of backup options… but I shouldn’t NEED TO. If something needs time to improve, the vendor should test it ahead of time to verify performance and pour it early, so it ships at peak. Also-you’re not alone in scent becoming intimate to the sense of self. Learning to like bakery and (*gasp*) florals has been a little weird? Like my spouse side eyes me when I’m all gagged for a new category? But over time, I’ve come to like surprising myself. I’m not petrified yet. :D
You are great with words, and I 100% agree with you! Love the term “babysitting.” You’re totally right, it should be the vendors job to pour early so the consumer can use when it becomes available. Omigoodness, it’s nice to hear others have been experiencing the same things as me. I’ll try to be happy about my ever-changing scent mood! I’m sure I’ll be able to find joy in my preferences changing. I’d say floral is one fragrance family I’m still about 50/50 with. I seem to either love it or hate it. What are your favourite floral fragrances? Thank you for sharing your thoughts!! I really enjoyed reading them 🤗 And thank you for continually watching my videos!
If you haven’t tried them yet, the sunflower scents are a perfect entry point (Here Come The Sunflowers for s/s, Scarlet Sunflower for f/w)-they’re blended a little ‘deeper’ than the average floral, without the perfumey note that can sneak in. Scarlet Sunflower in particular is a great alternate to have on deck for when you want fall but you need a break from spice-it’s apple cranberry sunflower-so the density and warmth feel right but it’s different enough to be really fresh and novel. You’re so easy & charming, your videos are a pleasure!
New to your channel. I feel the same way about having the "cure" bars. I get it, if it's a fresh pour but I can never wait to warm bars, unless there are other bars I want to melt first. I'm more of a spring/summer fruity girl. Obessed with Desert Tropics, Ruby Nectarine, BRV, Peach Nectar and Palm Trees and Ocean Breeze... at least for now. It's crazy how I could be immediately obsessed with a scent. FOMO is real. Ever consider doing a wax collection or warmer tour video?
Welcome to my channel! Thanks for joining me 🤗 Oh nice! I hear of so many people being Fall/Winter “warmers” and it’s nice to hear of a Spring/Summer scents person. I did a warmer tour for my fb VIP’s a couple years ago, but I think it’s time for me to bring that to RUclips! Nice to “meet” you, Karen!
Great video! We are slightly different with our tastes but totally relate to Scentsy opening my nose up to “spice”. It really does something nice during the cooler months. I’m a berry-spice, sugar-spice or bakery-spice guy - not citrus/tree/wood. I’m with you on the “curing”. WHY sell a bar that we’d have to wait to get any performance out of it, also usually out of season too? Make it make sense! 😂 Pacific Sandalwood suffers the same as the one you mentioned about being BEAUTIFUL but terrible performers. Maybe I have to “cure” it 😂😂😂😂
I like making friends who have some opposite fragrance preferences than me! I do like spice, but I still get turned off from too much spice in a bar. I like a well balanced bar, but I assume “balance” is even different for everyone. 😂 💯 Agree with you on “why sell a bar” if it’s not ready! You’re right, Pacific Sandalwood is a weak performer!!
