i could relate to what you did. i worked in Malaysia (KL) as an expat. i’m Filipino and worked there for 5 years. i was a traveler since i was a kid, and learned to explore beyond the “tourist” places where we would go to. as an expat, i would go around the surrounding places in where i worked at 1st and “expanded” beyond the capital. until such time when i have time, i would “tour” fellow Filipinos in the capital, to the extent of “touring” fellow Filipinos and foreigners alike to Thailand! it’s sad though that i wasn’t able to tour my family in Malaysia when i was there, since my family is based in California, US. i’m glad you were able to tour you family around. you must have felt good and proud of yourself to being a “professional tour guide”. i felt the same when i did :)

My fav from Din Tai Fung are their fried rice and salted egg prawns. Perfect combo! You also need to try their pork chop, if you haven't yet! It's also perfect with fried rice. I'm also not a big fan of their xia long bao. The fried noodles are indeed lacking in flavor and are just spicy tbh. My mom works in Greenbelt Din Tai Fung so there are some days when she'll bring a lot of canceled orders. 😂😂

Try a university tour! That might be fun, especially the campuses aren’t very crowded yet. (You might want to include a food crawl in UP Diliman!) There are also guided tours in Intramuros and Binondo, that’s a bit of a unique experience too.

Maybe try to visit together with your cousin Laguna (Calamba and Pansol) Natural Hot Spring. One of the Hot Spring Resorts is a Korean Resort name 88. But there also lots of Hot spring resorts. The Natural Hot Spring water comes from Mount Makiling...dormant volcano. It is only one hour and half drive from Manila. Also Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa Laguna. Batangas (Matabungkay & Nasugbu) and La union has also white sand and golden sand beaches to offer and it is only One hour and half drive from Manila.

why don't you take Jacob to Las Casas Filipinas De Acuzar Park in Bataan. There, he will see the different preserved & restored historical homes & bldg. from the 17th to the 18th hundreds. It takes about 1hr. & 46minutes from Pampanga to Bataan. (85.6 km) via Jose Abad Santos Ave, Bataan Provincial Hwy/Roman Superhighway and Gov. J.J. Linao National Road. There is a charge to get in.
I also recommend Camiguin Island. It's like Bali Indonesia.
