A trap consists of three main components: Reservoir rock Deformation (ex: anticline) Seal rock (mostly called cap rock) Hence, the reservoir is the portion of the trap that contains the hydrocarbons in place.
Peace and mercy of God I am a student at the College of Petroleum Engineering I need some information to complete my graduation project When developing the field by adding new production wells and new gas injection wells How can I locate new wells? And I have done a dynamic simulation of the reservoir using the Eclipse program, and I could not determine the locations of the new wells In order to get the highest productivity from the field
Great explanation, keep going 👏🏼
Extremely Great ♥️♥️🔥
Excellent sir
Is there a difference between a seal and a trap ?
Then explain to me why you drill below a water level when drilling for oil in central texas.
Excellent 👏
شكرا جزيلا لك

Hi sir , what difference between a trap and a reservoir ?
Thanks in advance.
A trap consists of three main components:
Reservoir rock
Deformation (ex: anticline)
Seal rock (mostly called cap rock)
Hence, the reservoir is the portion of the trap that contains the hydrocarbons in place.
