Please stop making these nonsense comments guys... Every country taxes foreign imports and India has one of least tax rates. Just stop this nonsense please.
The only problem with KTM India is the after sales service .The same duke 390 dealers who will sell these expensive models yet offer pathetic after sales service , some of the dealers don't even know how to service a bike rather than changing engine oil and oil filter . That's is going to be biggest problem for ktm in India in terms of sales.
Regret to note that. However service here in chennai is excellent. Overall KTM is So reliable in India is what I've heard so far. I'm using 390 for 5 years now
What the hell are you talking about. I own the 3rd gen Duke 250, never had any issues with service, except for the indicator unit not working and them taking almost 3 months to bring it in for change. Yeah, it took them 3 months to get something as small as that.
larger machines need to be imported for manufacturing process they are testing out the popularity and sales then they may have ckd Or even potential production in India they don't want invest a huge amount in machinery for manufacturing expecting potential failure
India is not a market for KTM big bikes...these will remain on sale for few months or years, will attract minimal sale figures and discontinue.. People here don't spend money that doesn't make inline-4 or crossplane sound or looks like a Ducati!
@@painkiller69420 I will never buy one of these bikes ever bro. I have a bajaj plantina which is 8 years old and I still maintain it like new. No stickers or bullshit. Hero is starting to show interest in high capacity motorcycles in recent times, maybe we can expect something from them as well. Also, ultraviolet is gearing up to launch their EV Superbike in the upcoming year and that will be India's first ever Superbike just that it won't be an ICE. The future is looking brilliant for India with more startups and investors looking to capitalize the global market using India's vast HR and other resources. Hope all turns out to be fruitful 😊
Each of the bikes mentioned besides the 1390 Super Duke R undercut their rivals from Ducati, Truimph and BMW by a few thousands, making them well priced.
Actually That's a good thing brother, and I feel these bikes are gonna sell like hot cakes. ITS NOT FOR THE CHAPRIS. And it also undercuts the ducatis, bmws, triumphs etc.
I've been posting this question on all the major auto journalists' channels but it appears as though KTM has instructed everyone not to talk about it in any of their videos. There's no mention of the 990 Duke anywhere which is quite surprising. Are they planning to launch it in India or do they wanna first get rid of the old and unsold stock of the 890 Duke first and then decide?
These are outdated models. They launched all their old models here like its a third world country. Europe gets 990 duke while Indians get discontinued 890 with that old headlight that duke 200 have for 18 lakh. Awesome! gonna sell like hotcake!!! the 1290 super adventure is also same, its a 1 yr old bike, i wonder who in right mind will buy these outdated bikes. THE 890 DUKE IS PURE DISRESPECT!!!!! and pay for features that already have on the bike? HAHA, they should hire someone from India on their sales team otherwise this will happen
KTM is desperate , it's in deep financial distress & falling sales in European American markets. Owing to reliability issues plaguing its newer models as lot parts are replaced with low cost imports from China then making everything in Austria to arrest the falling profits . Consumers in Europe are in distaste to spend big bucks to get substandard products . Now KTM thinks indian buyers will not mind that so much as it already has legacy going on in India with smaller KTM machines . Taking cues from Bajaj using low cost parts . Apart from that KTM is stubborn in its design ideology not trying anything different in design or colours. Same. Orange colours for years now
for people wondering why is the price so high thats because this is a cbu unit larger machines need to be imported for manufacturing process they are testing out the popularity and sales then they may have ckd Or even potential production in India they don't want invest a huge amount in machinery for manufacturing expecting potential failure

if any brand electronically locks features do not consider that brand. the brand is holding hostage YOUR bike.

Service might be a issue for you, it's quite good here in Pune
Bhai humare side toh Bajaj Service Networks hi KTM service krte hai and they're good
Literally brand new premium showrooms being built for these bikes

Inconsistency in hd and 4k , immediately notice on 4k monitor 🙁
Okay
bro be buying 1390
I doubt 790 890 will have any sales after poor customer service regarding head camshaft failures on those models in international markets
They won't even sell in double digits. Even new 390 looks better than those.
Wow..... Bajaj holds 51% stake and still we buy CBUs from phillipines...... If manufactured in India, it could have sold in large numbers

Imagine price cuts in taxes of those were manufactured in india... 😍😍
The recurring fee for electronic features on superduke is just awful. They want to nickle and dime their customers.
I've seen the GSX8R in the showrooms... autocar hasn't 😅
Waiting from long time for this Beast. Finally booked it.
When will an Indian company make this kind of powerful bikes...! Come on bajaj and TVS and I'm rooting for you guys
Bajaj is yet to make small twin cylinder bike and wishing for them to make something like 1390 SuperDuke would be wishful thinking
People can barely afford a new bike around 1.5 lakhs let alone a v twin or a v4 bike that costs +20 lakhs 😂😂

Beautiful 890 Duke R with the 1390?
Heaven for KTM fans. Finally! Gear up riders present and future KTM owners! 🧡🤝
When you said street triple, I got hooked to that name... 😜
More opportunities for the stupid govt to fill their pockets with tax lol

These KTM will not work on in the Indian market hence, they are expensive and these don't have more crusing capacity

Hmmm.
889 cc engine making 120hp and 99 nM torque. Pretty cool indeed. Most 1 liter turbo petrol car engines make only 100 hp.
350 EXC-F Enduro, is it confirmed by KTM about registration?
As some are claiming it can be because of lights and number plate holder.

KTM would have manufactured here in India it would have cost 890 R directly in the bracket of [8 Lac to 10 Lac]. Hope they will do it future
i think 890 adventure r might be the only VFM value from ktm now for ppl who want to do cross country
Ready to race ❌ready to fly ✅😅

I guess these bike are safe from Chhapris lol
