- This video shows a checkout session with Aerobatic Instructor Jimmy Nilsson. (He sits in the backseat, coaching and prepared to help if needed)
Remember !
Never try any aerobatic maneuvers without obtaining proper training from a flight instructor !
This is a video of Jimmy flying aerobatic in his SU-29: • Sukhoi SU-29
Thanks for sharing this great Video!
Tack så mycket, Kjell for sharing!;)
very nice job!!
I'm no expert, but it seems like you should be pushing more down elevator at the top of those hammerheads. Also, I don't reference airspeed at the top so much as I just wait until I start to feel a little light in the seat-back, then I kick it around (while holding down elevator).
Barrel roll should have 90-degrees of heading change over the top.
Miss my RV-4
Don`t feel like the Lone Ranger. They are the best bang or the buck. Got one cheap because the builder couldn`t fly it and it had an O-290. 600hrs. of so much fun I didn`t deserve it. An RV-4 is wicked (truly fun , stable airplane).
Are you and your instructor both small guys? I cannot get my RV-4 under 1375# weight limit for acro with a passenger and enough gas. I have 388# envelope. Two FAA standard size people of 170# and with two parachutes (2@20#=40#) leaves me with 8# or 1.25gallons...
Are you going over recommended acro gross and just limiting the Gs? I've never pulled more than 4 in mine...but always need to account for a botched maneuver. Solo, I love doing acro...though I have access to an S1S Pitts if I want get wild and pull some serious G.
We are both lightweight and within the load envelope regarding both weight and cog. (Not much fuel left at the end tough) Max G pulled just below 6. Inverted fuel but not oil so trying to stay on the positive side.
That poor attitude indicator.
