I'm only about a minute in and I'm totally with Rizzo. I have the entire movie committed to memory. My cousin and I are the worst people to watch this with because we recite all of the dialog and sing along with the score. You guys are bringing up all the memories. Gay me and straight cousin/best friend watching movies. good times
funny that rizzo's first VHS tape was this movie when my first DVD was also indiana jones and the last crusade - why was this a thing for so many of us???? I can recite every scene by heart! lmao I applaud the self-control for not ruining it for benji by saying all the lines
Love that scene as well but fail to understand how all these Germans suddenly understand English so well. 'Kein Ticket' would have made more sense with 'No Ticket' as a subtitle. But then again, I'm worth $5 Hundred & Spielberg is worth $5 Billion so who am I to tell him how to make a movie?
Apparently Harrison Ford recommended River Phoenix for the role of young Indiana after working opposite him in Mosquito Coast. If anyone here doesn't know who River Phoenix is, I'll just say 'yes, he's related to Joaquin Phoenix, he was Joaquin's older brother'
Love this one the best 💗 Crazy fact: Sean Connery was only 12 years older than Harrison Ford 😁 Rizzo doing the open neck shirt pull cracked me up - both times. What a tease 😏 Glad Benji had fun 🤗 Hilarious he called it on the tank and cracked up at the Rats! 🐀 There is definitely something magical about watching these kinds of movies as a kid that you can't always capture when watching them for the first time as an adult. But don't stop trying. They are still able to appreciate it, it just won't be a core memory 😌 🎶 You must whip it 🎶
I saw all of the Indiana Jones movies after watching Dial of Destiny in theaters with my mom, and I have to say The Last Crusade became my favorite too
32:44 This is the first time I noticed how much that part of the score sounds like the opening to The Imperial March from Star Wars. Obviously not exact, but I can hear the homage to it. Perfect call back John Williams 😁
One of my fav movies of all time. ❤️ I’m so glad Benji likes this one lol. My late father and l always watched this movie together and now it means so much more to me. I always tear up hearing the grail music. I will have to join the Patreon because I need to see the reaction to my favorite lines of dialogue “I’m as human as the next man”. “I was the next man”😄
27:03 According to Wikipedia, Anna Mary Jones, mother of Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones died of Scarlett Fever (later retconned to Influenza) on March 12, 1912 at the age of 33.
Lol, not me and Rizzo humming along to all the background music. I think we have the same relationship to this movie. This was also the one I grew up with and the first one I saw, so it holds a special place in my heart.
43:20 While Elsa was reaching for the grail, Indy's pov of the grail was normal. When it's Indy reaching for the grail, his perspective becomes hazy and golden. I think the grail has some kind of psychological effect, like the ark had on Belloq in the book
@24:09 my brother and I used to rewind this part over and over and die laughing. She reminds me of Frau Farbissina from Austin Powers 😂 Plus, those Nazis have Storm Trooper aim
4:09 That's George lucas' dog Indiana, who was an inspiration for Chewbacca and the source of Indiana Jones' name. It's also named Indiana in-universe.
Completely forgot to comment. Just wanted to say I’m so glad Benji enjoyed it! One of things I love about this movie is it kinda breaks cliches because you didn’t get to see a lot of movies have such a fun time with elderly parents and for once the guy doesn’t get the girl. I don’t know, it’s just such a feel good movie for me that has a lot of favorite moments. I even got the chance to see it in theaters because they released it a few years ago in my town, which by then I had trouble remembering it so it was like I was watching it for the first time, it was so much fun🥰
In the beginning of the video, you can tell Rizzo has ADHD. I can say that I'd have a good ass time with Rizzo, cause I have that exact same energy. So you can keep on having that happy energy
Very entertaining reaction guys. But jeez, there's no way I could watch a film for the first time with someone next to me screaming out all the lines before they're said. 😄
Rizzo I’m not sure if you know this but Temple of Doom is actually supposed to be a prequel. It’s the first time Indie sees anything like that and that’s why he’s a bit more excepting to even finding the Arch in the first movie 😊
I loved watching Rizzo, who loves this as much as I do, with Benji who is nonplussed about it all. Like look Benji, look! You get it Benji!! OAN Sean Connery and Harrison Ford in one film is my wet dream. To see James Bond bumbling around is fun!!
By far my favorite! Indy series was something my dad shared with me and my brother and we loved it together. We were also going to church when we saw this one and so it hit home as well. It was so great! Still my fav!
Ahhhhhhhh loved the reaction. It was also one of my fave ones (maybe the top fave), with Kingdom of Crystal Skull, but when I was younger, I kept mixing this movie up with one of the 'The Mummy' movies, not even because they are similar in any way, but because they are both 'timed' and because they were often showed around the same time on my tv program
Every Indiana Jones movie has a fight scene with "The Tank." It's as set in stone as the hat. It's just...usually a person and not a literal tank. Obstacle that hits hard and is bigger than Indy enters the scene. Indy puts in his best effort but cannot defeat the tank with fists alone. Tank takes damage but is ultimately taken out by its own lack of observation skills re: the environment. (Eg, there's a plane propeller at head level, a conveyer belt with a crushy thing and I am wearing dangly stuff, and oh no -- a cliff.)
Every time I read in the news that HF crashes another one of his planes, I think of the scene w/Indy Jones and Henry Jones, Sr. in the plane: Henry, Sr.: "I didn't know you could fly!" Indy: "Fly? Yes! Land...? No!" No crap.😂
This is also MY fave Indy Jones film. And one of my fave film scores of all time.😊 Edit: Remember that scene from "Family Guy" where Peter sings the movement from this score, "Scherzo For Motorcycle?" I sing along during this movement all the time. It's so much fum!
"I used to watch this all the time." - The opening with River Phenix as young Indy, just the childhood crush of 9 out of 10 geek gay boys. okay, this is not a gay thing! kkkk
Rizzo looking over at Benji every other scene after a funny/witty quote or if a revelation was coming up! Annoyingly adorable! Adorably annoying!🤣 Benji pulled through and did great! 👏🏽 An AMAZING movie and the best out of the series! Connery is AWESOME! A Request (cause I’m broke af to be a patreon) I would love to see you both react to one of my favorite movies of all time with one of the best soundtracks and that I can completely quote from start to finish……. COOL RUNNINGS!!! 🇯🇲🛷
Idk how or why, but every time I watch this movie, I’ve either missed the first 10-30 min (accidentally forget what time it was scheduled to be on tv), or I had just never fully seen or absorbed the beginning
It'd be very interesting to find out how many people saw Last Crusade before Raiders - I'm like Rizzo and saw this before the others and it's my favorite. I get people not liking it as much because it feels too similar to Raiders. Also fair if the father/son dynamic doesn't grab you, but I find their relationship more interesting and nuanced than Indy's other relationships across most of the franchise. But I probably have a bias from seeing this film first 😄
Last Crusade has always been my least favorite of the originals but I still love it. Temple of Doom is easily my favorite and Raiders is more nostalgic and just better than TLC for me. I’ve had some issues with this film, but I still like it!
You know I can appreciate how unique and gutsy ToD is and totally get the love for it! Yes, TLC is clearly a “back to basics” copy of Raiders but it’s always won me over with the humor and heart! That said, I still think ✨technically✨ Raiders is the best film - but Last Crusade will always be ✨my favorite!✨

I used to love Indiana Jones so much as a kid, so this brings back a lot of nostalgia. Too bad he is so terrible to women in the movies tho, makes it kind of hard to watch as an adult
Rizzo channeling the comment section's energy by asking "did you catch that?" every other scene is so funny 😭
😂😂😂
I mean this in the most respectful way I can. Rizzo looks hot with facial hair. Very few people can rock a mustache and Rizzo is one of them.
I agree. He really rocks the mustache. It’s not even a mustache. It’s a “moostache”
Rizzo’s rizz is showing
Ehh idk, he kinda looked better without it, but that's just me lol
@@parismoon2130 he isn't called Rizz-o for nothing lol
Absolutely
"Benji I'm sorry I forgot your birthday... It was the nazis" had me dying haha
