The boy's a fool. When his 'controlling' mother was making the decisions, his life went from good to better. When he starts making decisions for himself, he became an addict, picked a disaster for a girlfriend and started living in the woods. I pity his mother for still loving him enough to care, he doesn't deserve it.
A son doesn’t deserve his mother’s love? You must not have kids, You love your children no matter what. That’s what unconditional love is. You don’t support them with self destructive behavior, but you still love them. If anybody deserves pity, it’s you for not knowing that.
As a parent, when you see your child hurting or making decisions that you know will hurt them, It’s not easy to sit back and watch. Dating a girl Who is homeless and actually being homeless yourself are pretty much decisions that are harmful.
I'm sorry, but as an addict in recovery, she needs to STOP blaming his girlfriend, and start holding him responsible. It's NOT her fault. If you're going to get and stay clean, you need to have responsibility for your OWN actions. Also, it sounds like his affluent upbringing, plus the controlling nature kinda sent him in that direction. I started acting out partially because I lived a very sheltered life. She also needs to stop being so condescending to his girlfriend, because she is just making him want to be with her more. I could go on and on
Did he really lose everything? Or did he gain everything by figuring out material things, the rat race, success is only temporary? If you're not happy with your situation and spend every day doing everything to stay in your situation, maybe it is time to reevaluate your situation and figure out what is right for you. I had to let go and let my kids find out what was better for them. He seems like he's happy and not mad about where he's living and he has someone by his side that cares about him. Seems like he's the success.
She shouldn't be blaming this girl. Her son needs to take responsibility 🙄for his life. Mom is controlling and obviously did a bad job raising him.
So bad that he had it all before throwing it away himself.
Romeo and Juliet were both from wealthy families. I thought he was supposed to be well-educated?
The grown man can't make a decision for himself.
So the issue is addiction? Not a girl named Tabitha 🤦🏻♀️

We all have the ability to make good choices for our benefit. Accountability is slipping right out of the dictionary.
Romeo nor Juliet survived the play. Does he know that?🤣
"He starting dating a girl, so I hurled abuse at her and my son and put her down to him constantly. Now i'm shocked that he wants to get away from me"

@@busymom8007 At which point you have a choice, have a rational conversation with them about it, or throw abuse their way and hope for the best

They said he was a rescue. What rescue/shelter let 2 homeless people adopt a dog?!
We never did get an explanation of why he lost his job.

If you find addiction as a sign of success then, yeah... winning!
