Hey thanks for giving my dumb little rock deck a shot! Check out the decklist in the description if you are interested in the deck. There is a primer included as well so you can jump into playing the deck.
So David had 1 island in play and zero cards in hand after the Sire of Insanity shenanigans, and the madlad managed to draw, in the next 4 draw steps, 2 lands for his combo and the two combo pieces Hullbreacher and Wheel of Misfortune. Damn.
After having 0 cards in hand he was the first perston to draw and not discard after Luís used chain of vapor. He drew 5 by the turn he cast wheel of misfortune. Luckily for us it was just Wheel of Misfortune and not any of the other wheels xD
my friend threw together something like a 35 dollar pako and haldan deck from his draft chaff box and it performs about as well as ot did in this video. doggo is crazy haha
hi, out of curiosity, wouldn't the reverberate on deflecting swat at around 12:01 or so not really work, since the original deflecting swat would resolve after the copy does? and thus david would get to choose the target in the end? or am i missing something? nonetheless, really interesting game to watch, thanks for sharing ^^
The good way to do it, and done in the video, is to copy the Deflecting Swat, and have the copy change the target of the original Deflecting Swat, to the copy, so once the OG Swat resolves it no longer has a valid target since the Copied Swat left the stack earlier and therefore it has no effect :)
We had no idea what each one of us was going to be playing in this game. Sometimes we might know 1 deck or 2, but even so we go for the game as if we were going to face a High tier cEDH table without any intention on "counter-picking" something good against any particular deck.
@@jdcommander7026 Baal had a token generator with the equipment and was capable of having blockers each turns for Pako this would generate a scenario where he could draw 2 per turn vs pako that (depending on who he would kill first) would have slightly more cards than Baal, but it was something he was willing to risk to finish the game.
@@SplitSecond David had a Sylvan Library, 31 life, and still had Gamble and Nox Revival exiled off Pako available. So, David had access to 2 cards regardless of Sire, plus got to see three cards off library, and could exile three more on attack. I think the Draw 2 of Baal is still inferior to the situation on David's board.
@@jdcommander7026 Yeah it might have not been thought thoroughly, Baal had considered to reanimate him earlier, but it would be stomped by Pako, and he also thought about reanimating Gilded Drake, but all those times there were interaction that would prevent that. By that point he decided to go for that play regardless.
The stax was in my heart. But honestly, there was a point where I had a bunch of stax in my hand, but even if I had the mana I would not play it. Like, there's no point in me casting Archon of Emeria if all it does is send a 30/30 angry dog straight at my face D:
I hate Pako, he is a really bad dog. Even with no Haldan he is really strong. If I need lands, you can be sure that he exiles it before I can draw it. When I need an answer for removal etc. you can be sure that he exiles it and when I miss a combopiece, you can be sure that this silly dog exiles it. Hate him so much. When I see a player with this commander, he is my first target to killing him.
Pako and Haldan but not having 98 lands in deck? Meh. I will rate it -100 points out of 100 points. Reason: bad doggo and bad owner, piloted by a boring player.
Pako putting fetch counters on our hearts. ❤️
Commentary is very well done, great video, looking forward to more!
It's heart warming to see that even in cEDH tables a big chunky boi of a beater can still get the job done.
"Game theory goes on the stack." Love it!
Pako's Modern Life is SUCH a great deck name lmao
I had that SAME Thought. I chuckled quite a bit after hearing the name :)
Dat sire play tho 👀👀😂😂
Nice to see good boi Pako
Great editing and narration 👍🏽
Sire of insanity was fantastic!!!
This game was hilarious. Probably one of the best games I’ve seen in a while!
That was awesome guys. GG to the good boy!
Really nice.
sire of insanity so early was brutal xD. great game ^^
Wow pako gets so many cards in cedh because everyone is playing instants. Very nice display of the deck :)
He gets them regardless D: because you can cast all exiles ones, only the +1/+1 counters are affected by creatures
@@pedrosequeira9829 Yeah but you can't cast them with Haldan :P
@@EDHNeoRoyal THANK GOD NO ONE ACCIDENTLY DID THAT HUH >_>
Noooo, *denied!* Next time, Sire... Next time. 😈
So excited to see your deck play out. I m building it right now
God, I love the commentary, awesome game!
Great Video. That sire man...lol
watching for my boi rograkh!

Makes me sad my deck got absolutely 'rock'ed this game but it happens! Crazy game :)
@@rettjester It also saved us for as long as it could!
Fin and Jake putting in work.
Wow that was a good game. the goodest of boys got the win though.
Oof!! Now you just gotta make partners with companion to have 12 legends in the fray!
Accomplishing a 360noscope HAHAHAHA
Loved the partner game! Maybe we can get another in the future ^_^

yep i love baal. best deck again
Haha xD the deck is from Patrick from The 99. I had found its deck tech a few days before and fell in love instantly xD

Voltron!
Are they using tabletop simulator?
Cockatrice :)
10:35 you mean she does not inTYMNAdate you!
is this a game or just really nice editing?
It is a game, we have the cockatrice replay file in case you'd be wondering :)
@@SplitSecond how does one play it? Would love to play edh online
@@thumpper4 you can jump unto our discord and we can give you the basics. we play every now and then with ppl up to it :)
Seems a bit sketchy to jam out a Sire of Insanity into a pod that's got a commander getting tons of card advantage (Pako)

@@SplitSecond no issues there. But, when you Reanimate the Sire and Pako is already in play, that's kinda questionable.
