Ey up mate, cracking video pal, and a brilliant looking boot. I’ve got the Bestard Advanced K Pro GTX Trekking boot. Like you the best boot I’ve had. So comfortable. I’ve never been on a walk yet where I’ve had to re-tighten my boots.
    Have a good weekend mate,
    All the best

I went for these Rush TRX boots. I absolutely love them! So comfy out of the box, incredible grip and dry too! Planning to do the 3 peaks in them later this year 😊

Excellent video and review. Doing National 3 Peaks in June, so sorting kit and looked at these boots comparing them to the Mammut Ducan High GTX and Berghaus Storm. I also live on the edge of the Dales and Peaks so looking to start some regular hikes etc. I think this video has convinced me to go with the Rush. Thanks again.

I found my scarpa rush uncomfortable for flat (hiking walking) getting blisters on every walk, Soon as i went Snowdonia i noticed where my money had been spent they performed amazing even on wet slab not once did i slip and no blisters amazing boot for the right conditions. I dont recommend these for normal wood walking

Yeah this is 100% true. I read on the website they are designed for mountain walking not flat hiking that’s why I didn’t wear them on the Cumbria Way. They perform brilliantly in the fells tho where I want them to. Great grip on wet and uneven ground. Thanks for watching and commenting 🤙 means a lot

Thanks. I like the boots I am size 10 uk , 44 EU , Those are 9 1/2 UK I tried them and they are good fit. I checked other scarpa boots and for the summer those I think will be ok. I want the boots but what bothers me is the weight , when you go above 500 grams ... and those they say size 42 550 idk size 44 will be 600 ish maybe. They are great they will give me peace of mind in the mountain but maybe for summer will be too much ... I am still deciding.

I find them light enough for one or two day hikes. If I’m going for multi day hikes like 5days I wear trail running shoes. I love my scarpa boots tho light comfortable and waterproof 🫡 brilliant bit of kit

Just bought a pair of these, waiting for them to come. Ive been an Asolo boot boy for years. But as you know. Having boots is like ordering a chinese meal. You're loyal to what you order, but secretly, you think is there better out there what you're missing out on.
Ive had 2 pair of salomons. 1 pair initially fitted but i had a strange foot growth spurt, And the current pair i had was the Pro Trek 7. And 1/4 of the way round the latest hike the sole came away from the boot on the heel. So thats me done with Salomon.
So im gonny try these Scarpa Trx's. Glad of your review. Its giving me peace of mind. Just gotta wait to see if they fit.

That’s some collection of boots 🥾 👊🏼. I’m still loving my TRX’s 👌🏼 been out in them to day and absolutely smashed it on the fells. Great grip and comfort all day. Nice n dry feet at the end of a 7hour 18k hike up 4peaks 👊🏼. I really do love these boots I know they might not suit all but they are great for me. Thanks for watching and commenting 👊🏼 let me know how you get on with them

The PRESA soles on my Scarpa shoes began to wear out even after I brushed them before use. I know that there are several types of PRESA with a balance of tenacity and durability against wet rocks, but is the outsole durable?

Great informative video. You mentioned you have issues with your feet as I do too. I have metatarsalgia (pain in the balls of the feet) which usually kicks in around 5k on a hike. I was wondering if you have the same problem and if these boots are supportive. TIA

I have flat feet that causes me issues with Achilles tendinitis and foot pain plantar fasciitis. Much like yourself I tend to feel pain during long hikes. I have inner souls from the nhs but I’ve not tried them in the boots yet. I do find them very supportive and comfortable I’ve really enjoyed wearing them this year. Thanks for watching and commenting. All the best for the new year

@@Walkingwildcampinguk my first rush trk has waterproofing issues, they change it to new ones. However, when I used the new boots into a -4c temperature, my feet started to feel cold despite that it is only cold weather but NOT WET (no rain/no snow) weather. my sweat from my boots did not evaporate it stays inside and became cold. I have tried several socks including wool, still the same issue.

Hiya mate, thanks for the review on these. I’m only 2 mins in at the moment. I’m looking for a new boot. Do the same wild camping and hiking in the lakes mostly. My last 3 boots have been the Salomon quest 3D then 4D. I’m getting bored of the build quality, they go to easy. So I’m looking at Scarpa and La Sportiva. There is 3 of these Rush boots the Lite, the Trek you have and the Trek Pro a nubuck version. Some reviews have seen them rip at the seems I think on the lite fabric version and the sole wearing quick. Why didn’t you go for the pro version? And can you recommend these? Or if you were buying again would you look at like La Sportiva tx5 and txs? Cheers Mike

I’ve had zero issues with the Scarpa rush boot so far they are also very comfortable. Theses where a replacement for my scarpa maverick boots that had a small fault. Scarpa replaced them with the rush boots so I was able to get out hiking as I had a weekend away I was going on. Scarpa’s customer service was spot on tbf. I probably did 60+ wainwright’s in the maverick boots plus multiple other walks n wild camps in the Lakes n Peak District so they had a lot of mileage in 6 months. I’ll be buying scarpa again when the Rush boots wear out a little but I can’t see that being for a good while yet. Some very good sales on Scarpa boots also if you shop around 👍. Hope this helps Mossy

@@Walkingwildcampinguk Hi Mossy, thanks for the quick reply. I will have to do abit more research. The scarpa own Presa sole is getting a right slating not for how good it is as it seems to be very grippy but the durability is low with people complaining about the lugs wearing to the sole very quick. People saying scarpa should have used Vibram still. Thanks anyway. Il be watching all your videos they are very insightful. Cheers again Mike
