Do not cut the 1st rib of plastic, it will not leave enough for the AN Fitting to fit flush, and it will leak, if the fitting rattles, it will leak, you can do a test with blowing into it and covering the other end with your finger, if you can hear air, its leaking and you will get a check engine on lost pressure. I had to buy a new set of PCV valves to redo this cause i cut the 1st rib off of the plastic, do not do this.. I keep trying to post where to get all the right parts but it keeps getting deleted. You can get all the parts cheaper on amazon and ebay now, including using AN Fittings instead of the hose clamps on the catch cans to make it look really nice. but you have to make sure you do not have any leaks in the lines, or you will get a check engine light. Put a O ring inside the AN fittings on the plastic pieces, and do not cut the 1st ribb off, just sand them down and thread them on the fittings. I tried to post links to all this but you can get a good set of everything on Amazon and 150 degree fittings on eBay for much less than the posted places, do your research.
Nice video I stumbled on. I also watched splitmod but didnt execute cai. Maybe some day. Did have catch cans sitting around. Since ur video this is my next project. Thanks.

Hey PK, I have purchased everything for Oil Catch Cans and CAI. The only thing I am unsure about before eI tackle this project is the U Hose. The one I receveid seems too large. So I did the same process and I couldn't get my car to stop smoking. As soon as I removed and put back stock it stopped smoking. Did you have any issue like that?
I’m thinking of doing this but don’t like the prospect of having to dremel and cut those connections. Have you or anyone found a a solution to straight connecting it?
I keep trying to post the details of this correct install, it keeps getting deleted. You should not follow this, the lines will leak and throw a check engine, you need to make changes. Contact me for links to the setup to make it without hose clamps and a real professional setup that is air tight.

Is it really impossible to install the catch can with the oem intake? Just recently got my 2021 XB7 Alpina, and there aren’t many parts out for me to upgrade as of now. I’ve purchased VRSF downpipe, and mishimoto oil cans for it but couldn’t find charge pipe for the ride
@@painkiller5766 yeah his came out super clean. I have a general idea on where I could place the cans. But there’s really no way to be 100% sure about it until the cans to come in. @@ArmedTheAsians I did the intakes based off SplitMods design, M5 comp mufflers with resonator delete, lowered and JB4 install. Custom rim and tires and little stuff inside the car.
The 10An fitting would not fit snug, the ending is too long. A hose fitting without a 10AN fitting is a 3/4 hose which is to big to manipulate in the small space. I tried a straight fit of a 3/4 hose on both ends of the valve but could not get turned back to the catch cans. Everything is dictated by the intake set up.
