I can only imagine how many Hawaiians would've of thrived in sports in this day and age if disease didn't run rampant and cause a major depletion on native Hawaiians. It's ok, we still have other polynesians doing their thing in sports.
Thank you for posting this. Duke Kahanamoku is somebody I knew of, but didn't know a lot about. I knew that he was a swimmer and surfer from Hawaii and that he had been in the Olympics. This video is filling the gaps in my knowledge.
Duke is my 3rd cousin his middle name is my last name Alden namahoe Paoa i we born on oahu queens hospital then my parents moved to Maui wn I was 3rz old where I've lived most of my life n still live on maui today # ALOHA TO ALL , MAUI ,NO ,KA OI .
