Hi Jim! I hear ya! The buttons on this guy are real tough. In the old days, cb's had like four knobs. Adjust volume and squelch, and you're done. Feel free to ask questions! Thanks for watching. Jim

Just put a small Cobra 19DX IV in my Jeep for when I'm out riding trails with my Jeep club. Love it. Just wish more people still use CB on the roads. It's hard to get anyone.
In one of your videos could you cover some every day observations, like you being able to pick people up but them not being able to pick you up based on type of radio, antenna, distances, etc. The other night in South Carolina I was receiving from a guy who said he was in Rhode Island. I know HAM radios can usually go pretty far with atmospheric bounce but I wasn't aware CB transmissions could really cover anything more than a few miles.

Hi Diesel! South Carolina to Rhode Island, wow! I heard about it, but I don't anything about that atmospheric bounce, but I think cb's can be jimmy-rigged to go farther than a few miles. But it might be illegal. When I was a kid, I worked with an 82 year old guy that would sit in the parking lot and talk to people in Florida, from Ohio. I think he was just on a cb, but I'm not sure. Thanks for watching! Jim

Very good review of a pretty decent radio in my opinion. I have a galaxy but it didn't fit in my T680 so I am putting that in my personal ford and got this radio for my T680. So far I'm happy with it. A lot of people talk crap about it but I haven't had any problems with mine. Seems to work well

While I was doing the CB videos, I read a comment somewhere, the fella said antennas are tuned at the factory these days (2017), and don't need adjusted the way we used to back in the 1980's, like cutting pieces off the length to set up the swr. And don't change the length of the cb antenna cord, that part of the config too. I almost shortened my cord till I read that!

Hi Jason! Great question! Great idea! I'll do a video on that! In my younger days when I drove fast and needed bear reports, squelch was off. I don't mind the static. Jim
