When Ladarius said he felt like he was finally seen by his brother I couldn’t stop crying. I love hearing these kids tell their stories and watching them shine! So beautiful!
But has no one heard about Varsity's new exclusivity policy that they oh so conveniently revealed only 3 days after Cheer came out that says that any college that participates in anything like documentaries will be forbidden from Daytona? It’s funny because Varsity knows they look even worse after Cheer came out; they’re only modifying that policy because they don’t want Netflix to keep making them look bad. But Netflix didn’t make them look bad, they made themselves look bad.
@@luluange123 Completely agree! I've loved all of the BUILD interviewers. They ask such insightful questions and seem really invested in who they are talking to.
is no one talking about the fact that, in varsity's selfishness, stigma about cheerleading continues. Thank god for netflix. maybe varsity will wake up and let netflix film daytona in season 2.
Your's was the best interview I've seen yet of our hometown Navarro/Na"vair"ro😀 cheerleaders since all of this started...smart intelligent questions...Navarro College is my sister's, my son's and mine...first 2 years of college alma mater...the whole community is so proud of these kids and their coach Monica...GO DAWGS!!!
Monica should take the team on the road and tour around the country and have paying audiences make these kids rich while promoting the sport. they will be the harlem globetrotters of cheer. they should work on stunts and pyramids no other teams can ever do.
It's Great w/ the Netflix showing how hard & determined Coach Monica & Cheer Team Navarro College had to work w/ supportive aims to injuries ect to Champion no matter what out come...like any Cheer Team. They happened to be the focus to aspire to inspire indeed. Let's Cheer all in any thing they set their minds to is the aim to this Documentary Series indeed. Let's also keep in mind this Cheer Team Navarro is also being inflated by the media now on a scale that may be too much for them to handle. Yes a wonderful Inspiration indeed but now let them all get down to earth and settle in. Seems Monica has an extra task of reeling her Team (those remaining) to get back to basics. Blessings
I'm also curious how that works out. Did he transfer back for the spring semester? One semester of Louisville sideline and one semester of Navarro competition? lol
I think most of them graduated, but came back for another season for the show. I also think Morgan said something about multiple associate degrees on the show.
@@davidadams2395 People care, but that's honestly the nature of the sport. Having cheered for 5+ years, when someone pretty irreplaceable to the routine like Sherbs is injured, it often takes HOURS of trying new people in her place in various parts of the routine to find the best fit. This can set you back valuable time before a competition. Flyers all fly slightly differently. Bases and back spots have to adjust. Injuries are taken seriously, but for teams especially at Navarro's level: if you're not vomiting or broken, you better be at practice on time- even if it's just to watch.
Brittany Exactly! I cheered competitively as well, and I would say that it’s exactly like any other sport in that cheerleaders push through the pain of ankle sprains and injuries that are less serious. But of course an injury like Sherb’s will be taken seriously, as it was!
@@librastar232 Sherb's injury had to be taken seriously because there was no choice to continue. But cumulative injuries are much more insidious because they can take years to see the toll. What about Morgan and her ribs? The ER doc even advised against her continuing. She even refused the meds for fear they'd hamper her performance. How many concussions are suffered? Head injuries are most definitely cumulative. We only have to look at the NFL for that evidence. Also, the care on-site was rudimentary, unlike the care given to other athletes.
@@davidadams2395 Morgans choice about her ribs were sketch i agree but understand it from an athletic point of view that if youre training for that amount of years you get used to pushing through things - i think the cause for concern was the potential severity of injury. I saw in an article that they had an unusual amount of rib problems last year so they're getting padded vests to avoid that in the future. The concussions are scary but is something that happens (hopefully) few times over a lot of years like allies 5 concussion over say 13 years (idk arbitrary) of cheer. Like monica said in this interview we only see a little of what they actually do (tbh if people paid attention in the show she says "lets do 'x' section" or when morgan was put into pyramid they only did a few counts at a time and worked up to her whole section) and that there are treatment plans and professionals onsite. but it's also a junior college and they probably have limited resources. There are scenes where some of the main cast are on the side and alternates are in their place - but their goal is to perform on mat and theyre determined to do so. Rikki B LMFAOOOO you damn right
When Ladarius said he felt like he was finally seen by his brother I couldn’t stop crying. I love hearing these kids tell their stories and watching them shine! So beautiful!
The ending, where he was crying.... OMG
When he started crying in that scene I cried too. The whole documentary was so emotional actually. I needed a good therapy talk after I finished it.
Jerry and Ladarius need their own show!
Gigi I’d watch that
I would subscribe to that!
I would watch also!
Yessss (Jerry’s voice)
Gigi correction La'Darius
There’s definitely a season two! Cause the fact that they haven’t denied it makes me think their already filming 🤞🏼🤞🏼 and I hope I’m right lol

Lexine Bate Lexi is on the team again this year :) You can see it on her instagram
This interviewer is excellent. He asks great questions that are not standard to every interview.
This interviewer is so classy! I love him. He seems so grounded and smart and genuine. Keep at it!
Shina Devon right?!! Build do an amazing job with their interviewers they’re all amazing at their jobs and seem like such intelligent sweet people!

I'm a huge Cheer fanatic. Watched at least 7 times. I wish Morgan and Lexi were in more of the spotlight!!! Love you all!!
Yeah exactly what I thought too.
Gabi is so boring compared to Morgan or Lexi.
The “Cheer” family are THE BOMB!!! High class all the way!!!
When Jerry smiles, I smile....
Thats why he is dangerous.

14:37 omg I need a Jerry and La’Darius type of friendship! Their definitely goals! 💯😩😍👏🏼🔥
A goal for ped0philes
Like putting money in his commissary? Some window love?
I love how humble and articulate Gabi is ❤️
Every time Jerry laughed, I smiled😁😁
AmeliaG256 🤨ya sure bout that?
And kids run away
Of course this was 2 years ago! It’s very sad what has transpired since then.
Thank you for sharing this! I love that the Cheer members are getting so much attention these days and it's exciting to see them everywhere!
Jerry is literally a ball of sunshine, I love him!!
I also have a soft spot for La’Darius, when he cried in that one episode it broke my heart
🤔🤔🤔

A ball of sunshine no one wants to get near him
When he tells you to rewatch it again but you already have 6 times 😞 *opens Netflix*
Cayci Babbs I thought I was the only one😩😂
Jasmine Upshaw actin like I don’t know what happens every episode and still getting emotional and tense
Cayci Babbs you’re not alone lol....can’t wait for season 2

But they’re in school as well and some of them are on all star cheer teams.
worst idea ever. this is a sport. they are not entertainers that go on tour. they have lives , school , families etc.
You were right!! Monica just announced their Cheer Live 2022 tour!
He had good questions
Great interview

This is probably the best interview with them because he asked questions that I was wondering about
SEASON 2 🗣 SEASON 2 🗣
They are so amazing to see
finally a great interviewer!
I actually cried..
I got Jerry for the buzzfeed quiz.
🤣
Love them. New fan
They are fishing for that damn Gabi story. Please let that girl live 🙄
why is jerry still in Navarro when he got a scholarship to Louisville?
I'm also curious how that works out. Did he transfer back for the spring semester? One semester of Louisville sideline and one semester of Navarro competition? lol
He went to Louisville but did not like it so he went back to Navarro. He said it in a different interview. gabby might go back also
He went to Louisville but did not like the cheer team there and he's now back at Navarro :)
I think most of them graduated, but came back for another season for the show. I also think Morgan said something about multiple associate degrees on the show.
Ha why not? They have something very special there at Navarro it seems like Louisville can't compare!
I love them so much!!
Gabi gets to pick whatever professional sport and team to cheer with if she wants.
I feel like gabi doesn’t like to show her personality sometimes
Everytime someone says: Love myself or to love myself etc, I think of BTS campaign and the song haha
How many interviews are you guys in right now? I’ve watched 5 already so lmk, so then I know what I’m missing out on
😢❤ Dang I'm gonna miss them all together. So sad how they set Jerry Harris up like that.
How did they set him up??
By set him up…you mean……….caught him with evidence of a gross and vile crime.

Alexa Graham she is not cheering at Navarro
