I had so many homeschool accounts I stopped following when they became more "listen to me rant for 9mins about my sponsors!" It just became too much for me.
I had to permanently log out of facebook because I started to feel like there was no way I could do it. This is my first year after my kids being in school the last two years. It made me feel like I was incapable of being a good mom. I kept hearing you HAVE to keep your kids on grade level for all subjects or you’re not doing it right. Omg did I mess up so bad trying to do this. I now am just doing what’s good for my kids and me, if that means 2nd grade math but 3rd grade reading and 1st grade spelling then that’s what we’re going to do from now on.
@@amandalovesmusic good for you for recognizing that the boundary needed to be set. I’m so glad you didn’t let it eat at you anymore! And you’re doing exactly what you should be doing by meeting your children at their levels. Well done, mama!!!! 😃
I love your videos bc of who you are and not bc of the curriculum or anything like that! And I tend to follow others bc of what they're using, etc lol anyways, as much as I love homeschooling, the social aspect of it is really hard. I can't remember if I mentioned it before but I have a chronic illness and my kid is special needs and I do as much as I can to have playdates but I can't drive too far, for homeschool events or even co-op and I've lived here for over a decade and hate it 😢 I'm waiting and praying for my husband's job to open up in another state lol so when I see other homeschool mom videos, sometimes I get discouraged bc alot of times "socially" we're not thriving and I feel like alot of people question about that the most when they find out that I'm homeschooling. Anyways, I know that things aren't always green on the other side but we live in NV, so it's not exactly a family friendly state 😅
@@KikiP-rb8no thank you so much!! And yes, it definitely can be difficult sometimes. However, with what I see come out of traditional school settings in terms of behavior, bullying, social media nonsense, etc, I’d argue you’re still making the right decision. And being able to give a special needs child individual support is so important. Hang in there mama… ❤️
@Making_Homeschool_Happen for sure! We've dealt with bullying in K/1st grade and the school did nothing about it! I know, I'm making the right decision for sure ❤ it's just hard with other homeschool moms 😅
Just from the title alone I know I’m going to love this video. 💛💛💛 ( I also ALWAYS appreciate your videos. You make me feel soooo not alone! Thank you!
