The 2006 Amsterdam show is mythical among Epicans, as it's never been officially released. Now, the holy grail is available as a part of 'We Still Take You With Us' (out now), which bundles it together with their (long sold-out) first major TV performance/DVD release, 'We Will Take You With Us,' as well as their first three albums: 'The Phantom Agony,' 'Consign To Oblivion' and 'The Score.'
Order it now on an 11-disc vinyl box set, Earbook with 36-pages and 8 discs or 8-CD box clamshell. 'Live at Paradiso' and 'We Will Take You With Us' will also be available to download or stream, while 'Live at Paradiso' will be released on 2-CD+Blu-ray, too.

Floor Jansen ist the best
They are all great but none of them sounds like Simone did here, especially her operatic vocals. Her soprano still sounded somewhat immature at that time, but it was really unique, very warm and ethereal. I've never heard anything like that before and I immediately fell in love with that voice before I even saw how beautiful she is, lol. Simone is a Goddess and my number 1 female singer of all time. I'll never get enough of her voice, especially her early operatic voice. Stunningly beautiful! We are very lucky to have all those old Epica videos in high quality now. 🙂

@@starcapture3040 Yeah, it is definitely better in terms of sound quality. Also, Simone was pregnant during the anniversary show, so her voice just wasn't fully there. She still did a great job given the circumstances.

If I didn't know it was our good friend Simone, I might have thought Botticelli's Venus had exited the painting and taken up life as a symphonic metal singer. She's a bit raw here compared to the extremely accomplished vocalist she's become, but that beautiful tone and emotional intensity is very evident.

Saw them at Orange, France last month! It was awesome, too bad they weren't main stage. Left halfway through Within Tempation's performance. However thanks to beast in black and Epica, I had a great time !

@@anniepollard3119 well they lacked "soul", no interaction between band members, music sounded very generic (very little differences between each song). It's been a long time since I had listened to them, they only played one older song that was good, they played the duet with Tarja (she wasn't present), all the new songs were boring imo. After Sharon brought politics to the stage that kinda sealed the deal for me and I left. My friend who isn't a metal head really liked Epica and Beast in Black, also was disappointed by the final act.
I was there too. I still doesn't understand why EPICA wasn't the main act, it's obvious that the vast majority of the audience was here for them, since almost everyone was wearing an Epica t-shirt in the crowd (myself included). Plus, i see a lot of people leaving at the end of their set. And yes BIB was the perfect support act.
I don't want to bash Within Temptation but they are not a Metal band anymore and i was feeling that they were a little out of place. Sharon Den Adel's vocals were impressive though, i have to admit that.
@@vince300100 you are right, her vocals were good and they had the best sound, you could very clearly hear everything. How great it would have been if the same effort and time was spend on the other two

I was wandering that as well, but when it comes to popularity, within temptation is the most popular of the 3. I went to Spotify to check the monthly listeners. Probably because you can listen to W.T. without much "thought", it's music for everyone, without having many actual fans.
