For the first time i have heard this kirtan through mlv garu. Although i do not know tamil i have enjoyed. Hats off to mlv garu and the accompaniments. We are very proud of mlv garu.

"Maa Ramanan uma Ramanan” in the raga ‘Hindolam’ in which the Pallavi starts with the Swarakashram ‘Ma’ and every avartana of the Chittaswaram starts with the swara ‘ma’ which is the jeevaswara of the raga Hindolam! .This is the mark of ‘Swaraksharam’, a special beauty of Papanasam Sivan's compositions.......... sung the kriti on Lord Vishnu as well as Lord Siva, melodiously by MLV .....Loved the swarakalpana.....beautiful extempore....I think that i have listened this sung by GNB decades back.....Enchanting recital....Pranams....

Brilliant rendition. This lengthy Alapanam and Swarams by musicians have become past things.
Present day musicians very rarely sing Alapanam and Swarams for long duration.
Very very nice to hear.
