Sleeping with the fishes. 😅 The most fun 64 minutes! Watching you surf the waves was a blast. Thank you for sharing the entire race in one reel. Congratulations, your both winners in so many ways! 🏆🏆
That was so interesting! I have never been to Florida and found that shallow Florida Bay part so beautiful. You guys are such hard workers and adventurers. Thanks for the video.
I've been watching sailing channels for a few years now and I can't say that they all have gotten better with age but you all have certainly been stealing more and more of my attention. Keep up the great work!
THIS is among the many reasons I've followed you all these years...your amazing "can do" spirit. In my youth, I was a waterman....my ideal summer was one where my bathing suit never totally dried out....and you guys are all about that life.
Oh yes! They are a really fantastic team. In my teens I started windsurfing on Lake Ontario and eventually both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts and the Caribbean. In my 30s switched to kitesurfing which took me to The Columbia River gorge, Thailand, South Africa, Australia. A back injury lead me into learning to scuba doing my PADI open water in Fiji and then Samoa and Hawaii. Now in my 60s I kayak fish 5 or 6 days a week. Life sure is sweet!!
When storytelling is at its best, everything but the story is forgotten. You tell such great stories and are able to convey the hard work, difficult processes, frustration, uncertainty, and weariness which make the accomplishments, triumphs, joys, and growing resilience so satisfying and meaningful. There is a life truth in that for us all. Not all of us are called to the life you live but we do well to live as you live. Work hard. Work together. Dream Big. Bite big and chew fast! Celebrate! Sail on!!
I did not know this type of racing existed, now I'm determined to try it. Again, so happy the work with CLC was successful. You 2 are such a great team, wonderful to see beautiful blue water again! I'm sure jetty girl missed you terribly. Be well & fair winds.
The water tribe rocks. My best friend and I wanted to do this but he died. Way too soon. RIP Walter Mayo. I will always miss you. Thank you for sharing this with us. You two are amazing and your trimaran too. PS. That snake makes a great meal.
Watching you two I could imagine how people spread along coastlines. A small boat making as much distance it could in a day. Pulling ashore. Doing it again the next day and the next and the next. Untill one day the people just stayed. Great video!
Along coastlines? The Polynesians crossed entire oceans on multihulls just a bit larger. Coastlines are more dangerous than avoiding razor sharp reefs and all that.
Chesapeake light craft is an awesome company about 25 years ago. I built a kayak from there yet and it works flawlessly. They are beautiful boats and it looks like you guys had the greatest time in the world. Beautiful Doug.
@1:20 . . . . my sandals are old tennis shoes that are so old the tops are 70% rotted/worn away & the soles have worn to thin smooth pads that are still intact ! ! ! Great for yard work !
Well done - both the trip and video. Great that you chose a different boat and rig and did well. And skimming across Florida Bay under sail is a pleasure strictly reserved for small boats. Glad you got to do that.
Me and my dad are doing the Everglades Challenge this year. We have an oday daysailer. We put a self releasing cleat from duck works on the rudder. So when we hit a shallow spot it kicks up.
I'm an equine endurance rider and guide in Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. You got this!! Be strong ,be kind ,be cocky, be vigilant. If alll else fails, YOU BUILT A BOAT!!.. Sending up Good Ju~Ju for you!!
Wow. The episode covering the build of your boat was very good. This episode was fantastic. It did not seem like you were outside anywhere from your comfort zone throughout this adventure. Kudos to you both for taking on this challenge and for bringing us along.
What an amazing 4 1/2 days !!! Congratulations. Seeing a part of the coast where I spent some of my teen years. You two are wonderful and the boat is gorgeous! Sad for the red tide and even more to see the devastation of the coasts of Captiva, Sanibel, etc. Best hour I've spent in a long time. Thank you so much !
Absolutely loved this video. I am so glad to see you guys living life and having a blast. Take full advantage of the life that God gives and enjoy each other because it goes so fast.
Ciara I just love how you've warmed up to camera used to be very bashful but now you've come of age and you are demonstrating the strong woman that you are and I so much admire and a deer that so thank you and I'm glad you've come of age
As a fellow watertriber for many years, ( I’m now too old). Watching the performance of your boat, I’m very impressed. None of the stock Tandem Islands I owned could have kept up with you. Your video is one of the best I have seen about the EC, well done. However you were very lucky in Florida bay, ( the worst part of the trip for most). I always hated that area. We live in Sarasota, and I still like to go for the EC launch and see the couple hundred boats entered every year, and talk to old friends. Just a really nice video. Congrats
WOW Y'all never cease to amaze. Here there and everywhere around the world. I've slept on my boat some by myself but you take to to the next level. Thanks, thanks and more.
As a Sarasota native this is fun to watch. The red tide is a bummer, it's been really bad some years and very little others. I never heard of that race and I love the idea. Sailing isn't a skill of mine but I could learn. Your little boat rig is pretty cool for the bay and intercoastal waterway. Camping on the islands is fun, my brother and I used to take his canoe out to the ones behind Siesta Key or the ones behind South Lido beach. There are lots of rats and some rattlesnakes out there, so we took BB guns. I'd love to go down there and take a boat down to the Glades from Sarasota, if the red tide isn't bad the fishin' is incredible most of the way. Racing would be fun too. Thanks for showing this adventure.
I have never done anything like this and never considered it before. I like watching you guys and might start out small and get into it. Seems rewarding. Thanks guys!
Sounds amazing and tiring at the same time. Glad both of you and the boat made it in one piece. I like the name of the new boat. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
Congratulations you have done a great journey with minimal preparation and competed very well, looks like yourselves and the new rig are a great fit, I always look forward to your videos, full of new and exiting things for us to experience with you, Thank you and all the best, Al
Epic! You guys are the industry standard, for vlogging production values and for organisation and professionalism. I recently saw the crazy 'Sam Holmes Sailing' episode where he makeshiftedly fixes up a free, leaky old Hobie cat and sails it from Miami to the Bahamas with some poor non-sailing passenger (who probably still has no idea how lucky she was not to drown), before abandoning it on the beach and flying back. You guys are the opposite; Real pros!
Sam Holmes is a good sailor. Way more miles than you'll ever dream of. He's just a young guy having fun exploring. It's called adventure, and humans have been doing it for thousands of years. Get off the couch
That was great! Thanks for sharing. It sure makes all the work you put into designing and making the boat even more relevant! Thanks again, that was outstanding!
You 2 are living a great life. How many super cool boats can you come up with ? I love this boat. Sure was sweet of Jetty to let y’all race without her, don’t push though as there is several male dogs snooping around the house. LOL 😂❤🙏😎✌️
I was exhausted just watching you do this adventure! Thanks for sharing it with us. We went to Flamingo and the campground was free because mosquitoes were eating everything alive. I guess they don’t bother pythons.
I’ve been wanting to do this since I first heard about it at the small boat festival, Cedar Key. Thanks for sharing! I love Florida, am from Florida, but it’s going fast, can’t wait to get back out there,
Been following since your first boat, but never really comment. You've come so far in terms of production and the way you speak to the camera! Wanted to say I really enjoyed this one, well done.
We saw y'all heading S. on I75 otw N. to Fort Desoto the AM you left & I complimented your boat to my GF. It was BLOWING when we got there to watch everyone leave. Hope to see you in Feb.!
Most sailing channels are grocery shopping provisioning runs, you guys actually bring the entertainment. Really enjoyed this one guys.
That's ridiculous thing to say
@@Sommers234 Hey, what can I say I'm a ridiculous guy.
Well, that's not my experience at all. Plenty of great sailing channels out there, including this one!
Yeah plenty of great channels but how many times can you watch someone make coffee . This looked like it was a blast
@@Sommers234 he’s not lying there is grocery access all through the channel.
As a Expedition racer in Adventure Racing. I really enjoyed this video. We just finished up a race in Wisconsin. You guys make a great team.

As A man on his last leg… I have to you guys rock and are so so blessed and very talented. When I die I want to come back as you.
Looks like fun was had! Tough but fun! Be safe and keep rolling Tula team! 👍👍 Congrats on finishing the race! Nice job!! 👍👍
Can't deny it... that low in the water in the darkness of night gives me the heebie-geebies 🙂What a great maiden voyage for the new boat.
That was so interesting! I have never been to Florida and found that shallow Florida Bay part so beautiful. You guys are such hard workers and adventurers. Thanks for the video.
The boat looks GREAT slicing through the water. Congrats on making this journey. Thanks for taking us along. I really enjoyed this video.
I've been watching sailing channels for a few years now and I can't say that they all have gotten better with age but you all have certainly been stealing more and more of my attention. Keep up the great work!
Great video I love how you went as far as you could every day and some of the things and the places you passed I'm glad you made it and had fun

@@dlmsarge8329 wow you're living the life of Adventure. If only a fraction of people could do what you do , the world would be a better place
This might be your best episode yet, loved it 👍
Boat seemed to sail well too, congrats 🎉
I agree Fantastic! 😄
The boat did look cool looks like a great camp crusher loved the video
Agreed!
Amazing journey!!! You guys are the best always stepping out of the norm and doing great sailing adventures. Congrats! 🐬🌊💙
I was in destin back in 05 and they had red tide. That shit made my eyes constantly burn even when going to grocery store off the beach
This is a joy!....and I don't watch movies anymore...too long.
Thanks!

So much fun watching the fruition of your labor pay off. Great job!
Awesome adventure! Thanks for sharing. The hour of video covered your 4.5 day trip perfectly. Team work makes the dream work!
You two are awesome... Congratulations... You designed, built and raced your boat. Clever kittens.
What an accomplishment!!! Both the boat, and the race. Well done.

Great job. You took my advice (by accident I’m sure). “Enjoy the trip and parts of Florida people never see”. Bill. (Your Watertribe Inspector)
It's Swallow and Amazons in real life! Love it! You two are totally inspirational!
That is a fine looking boat. Great job. So cool that it has 3 methods of propulsion. You have inspired me to add outriggers to my sailing canoe.
Great job on the water and making the video. Congratulations!
You kids are simply amazing! What an adventure for you and the new boat Talulla! Congrats on another fantastic posting!
We ❤️ your videos! BTW, In my 54 years of existence I must say Keen’s are next level footwear.

Congrats on finishing the race and not getting eaten. Lol. Enjoyed watching this episode. Good job!!
Great job. Great seeing you at the finish. And I agree with Chief. The boat is stunningly beautiful.

That is so cool that you're able to cruise that fast! Awesome!
That was very enjoyable! Brought back some memories, as I grew up in Florida. :)
What a Great adventure! Thank you for sharing! I wish I were young and strong enough to attempt this!
