- Just getting people caught up on our projects, this video is a general overview of the ls turbo Colorado build. We were doing this off the top of our heads so I’m sure we missed a few things.

great sleeper truck. what adjustable suspension did you use in front?
Not talking mess, but I’m gonna use this video as a drinking game. We’re taking a shot every time you say “ahh” lol. Good build too btw
Hey brother, nice truck!
I've done a couple awd conversions on the 4x4 s10 platform using the cyclone/ bravada system. I never figured out how to swap one on a colorado. Is yours all time awd, or are you using 4x4 for the strip and then back to rwd after the race?
Time to watch some more of your videos!
241c transfer case with a manual shift lever and a push button to lock the front differential
Did this start off as a 5.3 truck?
it was originally an inline 5 truck
Gorgeous!
Thank you!
bad ass colorado perfect set up
Thanks! Check out our updated video, we have changed some things since then
What cooling fan do you used?
Fan kit from super modulation
thanks for answering.
Out of curiosity being I'm looking to buld Something similar. What kind of fuel economy you getting daily driving it? I'm currently daily driving a lq4 silverado that has been rust eaten and think I may stroke and swap the drive train into a Colorado.
It's got to be better than the 13 mpg of the 1500hd.
it is e85 and make a decent amount of power I would assume around 10mph but idk off the top of my head
Amazing truck bro i have a 07 xtreme crew cab i hope to get something close to good as this build
Thanks man we appreciate it! Nd the extreme trim would be an awesome ls swap, we don’t see many of those around us
Nice work! Thanks for posting and sharing. I assume truck is an original 4x4? Is it torsion bar front springs? I have a factory V8 Colorado 4x4, and picked up an NP241C to do the same. Did your transfer case just fit right in without any large mods? Also, which rear axle and rear disc brake setup? Last, how come you went Holley Terminator X vs stock E67 (it looks like truck still has the stock E67 in place, but I could be mistaking). Which transfer case shift lever and linkage? Sorry for all the questions, I want to do most of the same that you have done here, thanks. May as well keep going, which passenger manifold are you using, does hot crossover go at rear bottom of engine? Thanks bro! Keep posting your awesome work. I am trying to fit a 6L90, few have done the 6L80 so I want to go further. 6.2 / 6L90 / NP241C.
Yes it is original 4x4 and torsion bar front springs, the 241c fits perfect with a 4l80e and no big modification except for the transmission cross member.
I’m using a 8.6 rear with drum brakes out of a factory v8 Colorado.
It has an e40 ecu because it is 24x crank, the stock ecu controls everything but the 6.0 and the 4l80e
We use the Holley for engine management because the e40 is limited to a 2.5 bar map sensor so you can’t see over 14lbs of boost
We used a kit from JB custom fabrication for the shift lever and linkage
We are using an Fowler speed and performance builder kit turbo log on the passenger side.
The crossover tube fits in between the bell housing and oil pan
Did the a/c compressor clear the conversion mounts on the stock truck a/c compressor mount? What turbo log are you using and how big is your downpipe? Does the downpipe go inside or outside the frame rail? Thank you and fantastic build!
Yea we used factory truck ac mount, custom built turbo log and 4 inch down pipe that goes inside the frame.
This is an old video we have a newer video going more in depth and we have made some changes since then.
@@MooreRacing nice! Thank you, I'll get to watching! I have an s475 with a 4" downpipe and I'm currently fabbing a stainless sch10 log. Anything you would reccomend along the way?
Nice man! The only thing I can think of that we have a problem with is heat soak really bad, these engine bays are tight wrapping the log and down pipe helped a lot though
also we are running an ice box with the tick performance intercooler now

Got to ask. How did you do the steering wheel adapter? I’m on phase two with 2005 canyon. TSP408 and whipple supercharger.
Grant 3597 hub adapter, NRG SRK-250PP quick release kit, NRG 3hole to 6 hole steering wheel adapter SRK-36BK. We followed this thread on 355nation

Why is it so hard to find a 5.3 Colorado ? Atleast here in NJ
(Yes I know this is a 6.0…)
Factory 5.3 Colorado? They’re definitely hard to find. I don’t think they made a whole lot. In the past couple years I’ve seen 2 come up for sale in Virginia.
Nice build.. Thanks for sharing details..Have you had the truck on the scales, I’m curious on the weight?
Thank you! It’s around 4500lbs
What cables are used for the pcm, and is the dash lit up like Christmas lights?
I’m using Holley termx for engine management as for dash stuff I’m using the current performance integration harness
What Headers and Oil Pan did you use? Also, is the factory ECM ran in conjunction with the holley?
Factory manifold with a turbo log, 5.3 Chevrolet performance oil pan and the ecm just controls ac, speakers lights, most of the factory stuff.
Also this is an older video we have an updated video on our channel
That thing is sweet , I'm looking to build something like this, Is the front diff upgraded or just what it comes with from factory?
Thanks! Front diff and axles are all factory but it has a gm 241c passenger drop t-case In place of the factory t-case.
What's your PB with this set up? Has it been on the dyno? What kind of power has it made at what about of boost?
PB rn is 6.40 in the eighth but that’s with the trans slipping, it’s been on the dyno but hp is under wraps right now.
Also the turbo has been upgraded since this video, you can see the new turbo in the Colorado gets a big upgrade video
@@MooreRacing thanks for the reply. I've had a 88mm turbo on mine before I'm trying to figure out a nice small turbo that works better for the street. Just comparing, I'm using a GT45 now but I have a 7875 going in it tomorrow.
What year is the truck?? Nice “street” truck!!
It’s a 2005 and Thanks man!
Next newer generation colorado ls swap
Uhm uh uhm uh
It’s a lot to remember lol we getting better with the ums lol
Uhhh
