I love all your content but I especially love this one! The addition of the art and sexy light fixtures into the mood board really demonstrates the power of decorating! Thank you!
I ended up painting my house interior in #12 swiss coffee from Bher because I got so sick of trying the colors in my house. Nothing looked like it was supposed to and after going through almost 30 samples, I gave up. I did my baseboard and trim in pure white so that the yellow undertone on the walls would pop more. I'm just bringing in color through all the accessories. We're doing warm medium wood floors and ceilings too so the walls aren't boring. It has a spanish colonial feel.
I wondered what the room would look like if the sofa was flipped to face the wall. Make the wall a gallery with the TV and then make the current tv area a beautiful storage area for baby toys. Maybe have some shelves for high decorative things, a lamp or two, with lower for baby things.
How I love this forward, accessible, funny, easy to understand colour Rescues you created for the professionals and also the newest of the newbies like me. Thank you so much Maria
All the beautiful designs you have shown has made me want to change up a couple things…maybe…I’m not sure I should. I’m afraid of ruining the vibe my home has, but then again I feel I need a change. I wish we could upload photos on here to ask your advice. My home has the honey color kitchen cabinets that ties into all the other wood trims I have, like my stairs railing, the doors and trim, the laminate flooring is close to the same wood tone. Should I paint?? Hmmmm spring fever!!
I need a lamp for my kitchen island . I have dark blue tile floor, white cabinets & counter white fauxroccan tile backsplash and large collection of blue and white sponge ware. No pendant light.
I did a flat finish on walls/ceiling and satin on all my trim. I love it! My room gets a lot of light and I hated any light/sheen reflecting off my walls. A true flat for me was the way to go.
So is it a bad idea to paint the lower kitchen cabinets a different color than the uppers? I see a lot of pictures of designer kitchens with different lowers plus a few color-matched accessories.
I just found your channel. How can I obtain one of your color wheels? When my new sofa came, I discovered it had pink undertones when placed against the white (SW High Reflective White) wall, which reflects the greens from the nearby woods. So, I need to find a way to tie it all together with a rug and accessories. Thanks!
I have a much more streamlined, mid century style, but I still find Maria’s advice extremely helpful. Her advice about color, timelessness, and pulling a room together are always spot on. And everyone should follow her advice on adding lamps. I’ve been amazed at the difference it makes.

5:16 Paint ALL the cabinets, if you can't bring up to the ceiling - use 24/7 LEDs, add lamps ❤️
I love these videos! And I'm always so sad when they end. More content please!

love that sofa and thanks for helping us think through this maria. I'm about to pull the trigger on a color and I was getting cold feet.
You're welcome. Have fun!
Color is LIFE!!!
0:46 I honestly thought there were a bunch of soap suds on the floor at first. 😀
Loved the video. I’m going with Warmer colors in this house. What are those two color swatches on your wall beside you?
What a great video!
so helpful! thank you!
I get your point about the client who hasn’t painted his top cabinets teal yet, but as an aside , I like it when the bottom cabinets are darker.
Of course if you could see them.

Ivoire? Ee-vwar
I looked at that; too dark in this space. Went with Tea Light instead.
When painting everything the same color do you use the same paint finish or do you do a semi on the trim and another on the walls?

If I don’t share your aesthetic can I still use your methods?
