The expertise and the morality these two guests obviously put into their work, is very moving. I'm a blue collar low wage earner, but am clearly affected by the buildings, art & history that surround me. I would just like to express my appreciation for the guests and this program. Thank you.
I hear ya bud. They were thinking ahead here! Talking about using old industrial space to create places where you can live and work in the same building! Millions of Americans are now working from home AND being productive too! Even a blue collar job ( some/plenty) might be done from home if you are set up with what you need at home and the employer drops off and picks up things you produced. I’m not sure what type of blue collar job we are talking here but more is being explored now than ever before.
It's wonderful that the participants don't overly rely on the great views of Frank Lloyd Wright regarding Nature. His views are being looked at just as seriously as they should but with new efforts pertinent to our day. Thank you.
Looking forward for the next REPLAY event fans, get in action, learning from genius architects is never enough, learning to switch point of view of managing the environment living in perfect harmony with the Holy Creation, its the best lecture of life fans, the best Christmas gift suggestion indeed
A curmudgeonous maverick Mr. Wright was, with a sixth sense of space. True individual with free thought and faith to ones belief. Free architecture straying away from what washed up on shore with us...as He would say.
iCity! Pyrimids spaced along the various interstates along with various industrial complexes these would all be topped with vegetation and artificial trees!
Lloyd Frank helped introduce the World to America's "Midwestern Prairie style ecological movement" by saving wild maturing Oak, Elm & Ash trees already growing on sites which influenced his architectural designs. Today as an Arborist and Chicagoland's community tree historian, I am proudly preserving the last surviving examples either utilized or installed by Wright over a century ago. Check out this one in Oak Park Il.. ruclips.net/video/jXCurxYpNhA/видео.html
Cottage industry? Self employment is punished. Pay 15-18% more in taxes if self employed. Maybe big Gov can take their boot off of creative people’s necks.
God bless individual architecture. Happy ego produces happy society, not vice versa. We always start as one unique unit, and this is the way it will always be. I hope the modern european architecture will die soon. It sucks so much I can't even say it, because it's not even bad. It's mediocre. The worst possible thing, complete grey mass. Nature will be fine, because we are part of nature. When we destroying it - we changing the nature, when we trying to "protect" nature - it's the same thing! We changing it again! Don't go crazy green, I hope we will get rid of waste and plastic etc, cause I can't stand plastic, personally (using it everyday), but nature doesn't give a shit, it's just we - people, who give shit. Everything else is just trying to survive and go on. So, please, stop talking about nature and ecology - what we trying to do, is mantain things the way we used to.
This man was ahead of his time. He set the standard in architecture.

It seems that The National Life Insurance Project of Chicago was actually “transplanted” to New York…(NY Presbyterian Hospital at 168th and Broadway.

Barry isn't as smart as he thinks he is.
Why do you say that? What did he say that makes you feel that way?
