Just finished and tested your design with some elementary 4 ohm speakers (2W each) but I get low output. I put as input my headphones from my laptop. Do you have any ideas on why I get low output? Is it possible the low quality speakers be the cause?
There can be many reasons ... Is the output impedance of the transformer the same as the speakers? Check all voltages on the components. Input signal level. Check the output power with a power resistor instead of a speaker.
@@RobertZovko The output impedance of the transformers are the same of the speakers with the exception that I put 35W transformers. I don't have reference voltages to check and I wonder if the line in from my laptop's headphones is enough. As for the power output what is the way to measure it?
@@RobertZovko I finally connected the amp with my bookshelf speakers. Although I connected it with my phone's output it is pretty decent regarding its output level although the speakers are 86db. The strange thing is that I get different voltages (20V-30V) difference on each channel's power tube anode. i measured each resistor and they are all the same value. Do you have any ideas? Maybe the output transformers are not identical? And indeed in triode mode there is more "music:.

In listening, do you find you prefer one, triode or ultralinear?
Triode
Great job ! I wish I can do this too
That would be awesome buying as a kit and building it, shame I don’t own a CNC tho cos I would give it a try
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Good job!
@@aniko71 The required voltages are at 3:35. Do you have an oscilloscope and a signal generator?
@@RobertZovko No but I can find from a friend.
