I've seen many diy stuff for years but this is a piece of art. You my friend have a sense of design that is in every detail tobe not only efficient but beautiful. Hats off. I wish I could do the same (having access to more equipment helps...)
Love the inside of the chassis - how the components are neatly laid out in contrast to vintage electronics where they look like a bird's nest of wires. Beautiful.
Thank you so much for this. I've downloaded your complete plans set and this looks pretty straightforward. It'll be a while before I complete the project, but I will add to the community by creating a new video of the final project and attribute the design to you. Again, superb work and thank you for sharing.
Glad to see somebody building their own equipment especially valve. I still have my late father's amp's and pre-amp he originally built in the late 50's and then rebuilt for me in the mid 90's his own design. They still work perfectly today!
Absolutely beautiful build Robert. I love the CNC work on the cabinet and of course the layout of the electronic components. I built a kit into a Pink Floyd lunchbox and it came out great! It was not nearly as complex as your build, and it uses a pcb board but works and sounds great with my old JBL speakers. I rebuilt an old iPod which contains my entire music collection and the setup sounds great to my ears. I'm sure some hifi purists would critique my system to death but it sounds wonderful to me and that is all that matters lol. Like you, electronics are a hobby I use to amuse myself. I don't need to keep customers (or critics) happy lol. I got the kit from Tube Depot in the U.S. If anyone is interested. I believe I paid around $400 for all of the components.
absolute genius ... definitely the best looking tube amp on youtube ... must build this before i die ... thank you for sharing on google drive so i can start doing my homework
Bravo na izuzetnom radu. Sve je pedantno uradjeno i prosto se ne može naći primedba. Kao da ga je radila neka brendirana firma. Još jednom BRAVO i pozdrav iz Beograda.
Very nice build! I have built one with the same schematic and will add the anti-noise part C2+C3 connection to reduce noise. Thank you very much for the hint, didn't know about it and can't see it mentioned in Popovich book either. Thanks again!
A Lovely Job. Good soldering skill is important, as you have found out ;-) . I'd be tempted on the Mk II version to fit the input switch at the back panel, with an insulating shaft to the front control. This is a project that is as good on the eye as it hopefully is on the ear.
Very neat and tidy with much thought put in to the actual physical layout. You must have had your nephew do the dicky solder joint because all the others I saw were damn near perfect!
This is absolutely beautiful. I've been wanting to build an amplifier and stumbled across yours. Love the look and the attention to detail in the build. I would like to try to recreate this but with a different finish on the wood, black powder coating on the aluminum sheet, and black knobs. Could you help me with the specs on the power transformer? If I was to have this made, would I only need to specify my line voltage and the secondary voltages, or is there more to it than that? Would you mind sharing whatever specs I would need to have one built for myself with a 120V primary? Any help is very much appreciated.
This is absolutely top notch craftmanship. Exquisite and professional work in every detail. Deepest respect from me. All the best, from Magnus, Sweden P.S. Where in Makarska is it ? Only been to Baska Voda yet....!. D.S.
@@RobertZovko Hi Robert, and thanks for quick answer! Almost as soon as I had posted my comment, I remembered that Baska Voda was situated in an area called "The Makarska Riviera" around the capital city Makarska. I was there with my family in 2007, when the children were small. All the best, Magnus
Hi again, Robert! Have you been happy with the sound from your marvellously well built amp? What kind of speakers have you used? What is your estimated output ? ( I assume it is a single ended triode type amp, running in class A )
May you list nominal voltages and currents for each secondary winding in power toroid, diameter of wire (or something except 10H 250mA) for choke toroid, and most important - parameters for output toroids please? Exactly what you ordered from factory. I need to order toroids, but I don't know parameters. You may list them on google drive too.
I would love to hear your opinions on audio, but it really doesn't make sense to put "interpretation" of audio from an amplifier on a youtube channel. They will listen to your amplifier and your speakers, not mine.
@@RobertZovko Very true, I understand it is because of the limitations of RUclips but seeing the amplifier it made me very curious to hear how it sounds :)

Those valves are works of art, beautifully complimented by your exquisite workmanship. Congratulations.

That was really cool to watch. I dont know anything about electronics other than how to plug them together. this is so awesome!
It really is mesmerizing with how beautiful and precise the work is.
Sve čestitke za vrlo dobrom obavljenom poslu. Ovo je za primer. Elegantno, precizno i kvalitetno.

Really great and accurate design and manufacture. Every second of the video is full of hints.
Love the Soundtrack of your video. "Smoke filled rooms" is a great album.
Your amp build is awesome - feel motivated now.
Thank you, Rob, for your attention to detail and execution of the highest order.
Wow! Rare to see DIY audio done with such skill and attention to detail! I bet it sounds as good as it looks :)
Mágico trabajo, ejecutado con amor, ha sido como ver a un lutier, fabricar su guitarra o su laúd! Gracias!
A work of art - and science. Thank you for sharing (and making) this.
I like the attention to detail, really good build!
Congrats! Great project, great craftsmanship and nice background music 👍

Sounds great to me, i listen Silvaweld 300B monoblocks at home. Beautiful craftsmanship 👍👍👍
Beautiful job Robert. Well done.
not sure how i got here, but thank you. oddly satisfying to watch.
Beautiful work. Great to see your adjustments too
Gorgeous build on this amp BRAVO!!!
Work of art!! If I were to make one change it would be to use a stepped attenuator instead of the volume pot you have.
bravo majstore, izgleda fantastično a kladim se da isto tako fantastično i zvuči
This is a good video. It is a well-made product.
Congratulations!!
Top notch craftsmanship 👍🏼

Awesome project! Great work on the video.
Jesus, do you comment on every single video related to audio? Lol.

Damn - I hate you for building something that inspires me to build something. There are already too many beautiful things I want to build. Grrr.
That's some smooth jazz music!

love the toroidal transformers ... the old plate metal transformers look so darn klunky...

Super tasteful. Only the finest fixtures, toroids... What else could you want?
hi i have question we can use this amp for turntable mm cartridge??

Absolutely stunning. How did you learn building such wonderful things?
Thank you. I watched YT. 😉
Hi! Amazing work! Have you thought about making couple of more amplifiers of the same type for sale? I definitely would buy one from you :)
