Making Easy Acorn Cookies! Baking with Kids

ACORN COOKIES
Fall is our favorite season here in Lollybeep Ridge and one of our favorite things to gather in the fall are Acorns! So we’ve taken our love of acorns and turned them into a delicious and easy to make cookie! Simple to make but oh so delicious and adorable, this kitchen project is perfect for all levels of bakers. What are we waiting for?! Let’s go!

Now, LET’S MAKE ACORN COOKIES!
Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make this fluffy pumpkin creation.
Ingredients:
Nutter Butter Cookies
Chocolate candy melts or chocolate chips
Sprinkles
Pretzel sticks
Here’s what you do:
-Start by cutting the Nutter Butter cookies in half.
-Then cut the pretzel sticks into little pieces for the stems.
-Melt your chocolate candy melts or chocolate chips in the microwave until smooth, stirring as you go.
-Dip the cut half of the cookie into the melted chocolate to form the “cap” of the acorn. Before it hardens, dip the cookie into the sprinkles of your choice.
-Use a bit more chocolate on the pretzel stick to adhere the “stem” to the acorn.
-That’s it! Once you’re done with your acorns, place them in the fridge to help speed up the setting time.
