ATLANTA - An Atlanta judge said a water bill dispute case was the first he’d seen residents actually challenging in court an Atlanta Department of Watershed Management decision.
An East Lake couple lodged a dispute with the Atlanta Water and Sewer Appeals board over a more than $12,000 water bill. It was denied. They then took the unusual step of taking DWM to court, and served as their own attorney. They learned this: It’s an uphill battle.

Why the hell are they so obsessed with making these residential customers pay all this money back? It’s obvious that they physically CANNOT use that much water. Or is it just not their job to think rationally?

I actually caught them red handed. After my case is heard I truly believe all charges will be settled on behalf of the residents. Believe it or not, this is Biblical. Luke 8:17📖 I have the ultimate burden of proof against Watershed.⌛️

If this judge rules against these homeowners he’s just as disgusting as the water company and their lying lawyer

Fam. When you see my story you're going to lol so loud just knowing somebody finally caught their ass😂. I'm not from hear and I'm my own investigator and then I go hire a lawyer when I cracked the case so my attorney doesn't have to work that hard. After my case everyone's should get dropped and Atlanta can finally know that our water supplier definitely isn't shooting straight AT ALL NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT. Luke 8:17 is the scripture Watershed just got dealt.⌛️📖💪🏿 They have no clue how I had to pray on this. Think God I fear God.

Judge remanded the case back to the appeals board on 06/03/2024. It looks like their case hasn't been re-heard by the board yet.

Simple math could have searched for the missing million gallons of water - see what the distribution center pumped out, and find the error. Sad that it had to go this far.

This is insane that people need to prove it's the water company's fault. They need to be held accountable for the criminal behavior. They are stealing money from customers and don't care.

The city of Atlanta wants you to believe that there hasn’t been a single broken water meter until this case…🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
The amount of bs I’ve seen from this department in the span of only two short videos is astronomical…

We have the same issue. I am an engineer and have tested my meter myself. I have evidence that the meters measures incorrectly. I believe that I am not the only one and this confirms it. I will be bringing evidence with me to the appeal. But the appeal board will rule against me because it’s not one of the options they have. So I will need to take them to court also.

We may bring a class action lawsuit against the city. I just might be the first person that not only caught their hand in the cookie jar but I caught their whole body in the jar as if they were children and I'm making it known to all. My case is coming soon and it's so embarrassing it might not make it to court due to us only being in the discovery stages. They almost screwed me so bad it's not even funny to a point my story should only be a movie based on Watershed forging and fudging paperwork. Luke 8:17🙏🏿 Criminals can't continue committing crimes forever.

No one thinks that the people who work for watershed are simply going into the computers and manually being selective and manipulating our accounts, and I know for a fact that this is exactly what's happening. Hopefully, my case will help and shine the light on many other cases.

      The water meters are faulty.
I'm thinking that the electronics and other parts are malfunctioning. The device that is supposed to shut down when the meters are malfunctioning is most likely incorporated into the broken part that is reporting water usage.
Last thing why doesn't the water authority send a technician along with one of their board members. Have the technician check the water after meter after looking for leaks. If no leak have a person make sure all faucets etc. in the house are turned off. Then do a water main read. That will also tell you how the water meter is working.

  • @avenger1888
    @avenger1888 2 месяца назад +3

Simple fix to this damn problem.
REPLACE THE DAMN METERS!!!! HAVE AN INDEPENDENT TECHNICIAN CHECK THE METERS TO SEE IF THEY'RE FAULTY.
Oh, to that woman saying that the device has a safety that shuts off when malfunction. Well, lady, some safety devices malfunction if it is part of the device that is malfunctioning.
Still can't believe that this water board and appeals board didn't do the obvious. Put the bills on hold and
change out the meter and see what happens. If the new ones read differently, then BINGO the old meter was the issue .

I'm the executor of my father's estate and I was told he had a bill for $25k from 2008. When I asked for the accounting I was told by Watershed they could only see what he owed due to their new systems and that's when my antennas went up and stayed up. I then contacted the commissioners office and the guy I spoke with was able to see my father's account from 2008 and the bill never went over $150.00 the whole year of 2008. And then he sent me the accounting and notes for the account. Now I had the truth in my possession. Longstory short I hired an attorney and we requested the same paperwork I had in my possession and all the numbers changed and their story changed. Watershed is altering documents and we caught them red handed committing fraud and we now believe they've been doing this to everybody. They're kinda of ignoring our accusations right now as we are in the discovery stages. They blamed my deceased father and tried to interfere with the sale of my property and it's so much more to it but this is laughable. When I first hired my attorney I told him not to try and make since of my case because it doesn't make sense.. Thank God I wad able to do diligent research before hiring my attorney. I made my case very easy for him.

That city attorney straight lied to the judge. That meter doesn’t just shut itself down when a leak is detected. She just misrepresented the capability of a piece of govt property. She literally just made that up. The neptune r900i manual addresses both continuous and intermittent leak indication. No where does it state that it automatically shuts itself off. It also has a troubleshooting are that mentions a “an out-of-range reading or corrupt valve”.

I went to the effort of making an account on Fulton County's website to look up an update on this case.
Something happened in the case recently, but I'm not paying 50 cents per page to find out. Dana, we need you!

That city attorney should be disbarred. "That situation hasn't occurred" my ass. I don't live in your state and even I know about multiple specific cases in your city of broken meters leading to outrageous bills.

How willfully audacious! A company that thinks they are SO good that "we have never had a situation with a malfunctioning water meter." a.k.a. = we are perfect and don't need a plan to address problems in this way because they don't exist! What magical thinking!!! Now we have to wonder, how many of these meters are slowly stealing and are de facto inaccurate, or "broken."

Go through the exercise of estimate actual usage; if the usage is way off from the meter that's evidence enough to take the meter out of the ground and do a controlled test with known usage, recalibrate, and compute new bill.

This appears to be a good ole fashioned shakedown by city officials. If the city wins this case just know there will be more to come. And before you know it anyone could be charged an exorbitant amount of money which will increase each time the customer pays.

I get the point Judge McBurney was trying to make, all sports figures make a ridiculous amount of money… However Ronald Acuna is very famously on one of the cheapest and most team friendly deals in all of sports, possibly in history lol. Like it can not understated how much talent Acuna has and how little the Braves are paying for it…

Thanks to this video, Watershed Management is now shut down and its former employees and employer are now in jail for discrimination against law-abiding citizens, refusing to help its now-former customers, violation of civil rights, violation of human rights, violation of city laws, violation of state laws, violation of federal laws, and violation of the Constitution of the United States of America.

They're intentionally doing this to a chosen few and I am the executor of my father's estate and they tried hand after death and he caught them red handed. I just might be the only person to catch them changing the damn numbers in their computer. They didn't know I had the original accounting. This just happened during our discovery stages and my attorney is in the process of presenting a concrete confrontation that they won't be able to escape and I'm pissed about it. They were so disrespectful to ne and they insulted my and my diseased father's intelligence to the max and best believe they finally met their match. I plan on letting the people in the city of Atlanta know that we're all be scammed with these erroneous charges and I have the Burden of Proof.
