My late grandma absolutely loved this game. In fact I dare say it was the only video game she ever became invested in! She was quite sad there was no other content (that ending tho!!), so I know she would have been very happy to see this ❤️

Alan's character model definitely resembles Ilkka Villa much more closely, but I agree, apart from that, it's difficult to see much that's really been changed over the original from what they've shown.

Alan wake 2 was in development since either 2019 or 2020. It will be released probably 2023 or maybe near the end of 2022. They're preparing everyone for it by releasing the remaster first. In hopes the ones that don't know about this game, will play it and fall in love. This is to maximise profits. I heard that the contract with Microsoft will end soon but I'm not sure if it already has or they made this as a compromise. Whatever happens, just know, Alan wake 2 will be out soon. Not much longer left. Finally, I've waited so long for it.
I remembered I was so hyped for this game when they showed us the twister techdemo, I was in the first year of secondary school lol. It was a long wait until the game was finally released, didnt understand the story at all back then but the game mechanics and the athmosphere kept me seated for hours, marathoned it and finished the game in 2 days. Grew up with all Remedy games from the first Max Payne to Control, gotta love Sam's work, but this has a special place in my heart 🥲
I bought the original game about 5 years ago and couldn't beat it cause of a bug. No matter what i did, no solution. I really hope the remaster will allow me to finally finish it
Because it's a remaster, I don't think they can easily add raytrace support to the engine this was made on. They probably just made the textures more hd and did a few changes. You never know, maybe it includes raytracing but I wouldn't keep your hopes up. Usually remakes get done with the latest game engine and re masters use the same engine but they upgrade it to support hd textures and a couple basic stuff.
I love you Remedy, I really do. But as an urban modern human being I cannot put myself under these conditions. To even think about using Epic Games Store.
Seeing this just made my day , you have no idea how long i was waiting for this, i played it so many years ago on my uncle's xbox 360 . This brings out so many memories, now i can play it with the dlcs on my ps4. I'm soooooo happy, thank you Remedy ,THANK YOU

This looks so smooth! It would be cool if next gen and PC get ray tracing support but I'm just happy that more people will get to experience this game. It's a shame it seems to be epic exclusive for PC but it's not quite the same as being console exclusive.
I hope this game comes to iOS. I’ll ask Feral if they can port this next year. After the PS4 games Divinity 2 and Xcom 2 on iOS I don’t doubt iOS gaming capabilities.

Honestly it looks exactly like the PC version at 4K. I spot some higher resolution textures but no major changes...

It already looked great, so it's not a huge visual improvement. I've 100% the game on Xbox 360 and PC.
