Also strong observation here. Anyone remember from the Disney Hercules movie, where it's Philoctetes (the pig dude) training Hercules? That is exactly what I'm seeing with Gags and Wheels lmao.
supertraining06 it will be interesting to have an anecdotal, public incident of the effects of starting anabolics that early. more info is always good.
It's kind of crazy the circumstances of his life that got him here. If he had grown up a normal kid, he'd probably be playing football, may have gotten a scholarship, might still be in school now. He obviously has incredible genetics, even natural, he'd still be a beast.
Larry is a great guy, but Gaglione is a less than likeable character unless youre on his team. Ive been to multiple local meets in NY and LI where he and his team competed, where they would not allow other lifters besides those on their team to use certain pieces of equipment. Rushing other lifters, in most cases, first time competitors so that his team can warm up and get their attempts in. Ive spoken to alot of young lifters whose experiences were so bad because of their behavior that they didnt want to compete again. Nothing but respect for Larry, but I cant say the same for his coach.
Brought 2 programs on sale. Had no fucking clue what he wrote. I had to sit around and question myself and sometimes guess his instructions. The program he wrote was so lazy writen, few numbers missing here and there.. spelling misstakes. Looks rushed and very messy. Doesnt explains too good either. Didn't even bother running the program lol.
I want to say thank you for the amazing schedule you guys have stuck to. Every Wednesday morning, i get to look forward to a new Powercast. I can't remember the last Wednesday morning a new Powercast wasn't out. I love to zone the world out, and be a fucking meathead for 90 minutes.
Hot damn John is high energy.. I'm sitting at my desk working and my heart rate went up just listening to him speak. I can see how he could fire people up in the gym
Larry shows rare composure for a 21 year old. He's very insightful and articulate; especially, since he's basically an autodidact who didn't have the privilege of receiving a traditional HS education during his teens.
Larry has got a very bright future in the sport, can't wait to see him progress. Larry please be more active on youtube, I'm pretty sure everyone would love to see you progress! Great work team ST as always!
Holy shit, this dude needs to stop talking. Trying to talk over when you guys are making jokes. What he has to say isn't that important. Also conceited af.
Man this coach is giving off a really skeezy vibe. This genetic freak just fell in his lap, and seems to be taking advantage of it. Larry may want to look into moving on down the road....
he wants to be in center of attention, he interrupts others, and the worst thing is that he tries to "steal" Larry's talent. He thinks he is responsible for Larry's success, but I believe that Larry could do even better in some more competent hands. I know I sound like I'm hating or something, but we all sound like that when we criticize others.
AlphaBeast I've known John for a while and I've seen him take average people who work 40 hour a week desk jobs and get them nationally ranked and competing at the Arnold and USAPL nationals.
Lucas Brady Lol you could see that clearly from 2 sentences? okay sherlock...All his methods are standard peaking programs for meet that you can see on just abt every powerlifting forum/channel etc etc. All i am saying is larry had already totaled 1800+ before even meeting the guy and as a teenager so yeah the likelyhood of him becoming a world champ was already there, it definitely wasnt gag's magical training that got him there
There you have it folks. GENETICS is the deciding factor. Larry openly talks about taking "enhancements" (like lots of lifters amateur or pro), barely adheres to an kind of diet (eats a lot of junk), admittedly states other guys train just as hard as him, and breaks a world record at 21. He admittedly only recently lifts with excellent form too. Just a freak. It's Genetics
My point is, lots of people think it's the drugs you do, some special training program, special diet. Larry here explains he doesn't do anything different which shows it's pretty much all genetics. This might be obvious to some but most or many believe it's some technique or program that gets them there
He's not a bodybuilder, his diet doesn't have to be "dialed in" unless he's trying to make a weight class. Just look at pete rubish, dude lives of junk food and has a 900lb deadlift
they asked him so many questions to make him admit he takes stuff. But these people dont talk about the world class power lifters that are juiced up. double standard
One sentence he says he wrestled his Senior year on one leg due to a hamstring injury, and lost the match to place at County's. Then later he says he has bad genetics and was never an All County wrestler. Which is it? You were so good you beat a bunch of All-State and All-County wrestlers on one leg, or you couldn't even place in County's?
I like how mark had to cut Larry off when he mentioned about taking "enhancements". Everyone knows, but im glad mark stopped it right there. I guess he does not want the viewers (us) to take drugs like candy but have him rather talk about putting the work in to where he is today.
Ali Geryafe i didnt watch the whole thing, i just heard it in the beginning due to morals or values. Not like everyone should know but taking it at that age is something.
Dan Sesh Powerlifter very true. For the people (that dont know better) out there that see Larry, hear from him that steroids early are what he did, will be all about that (regardless of what level athlete they are, though usually a high end athlete already has mauled over that decision). Glad the conversation kinda did a rewind and started from the bottom. Cool to listen to.
thank you, its all about responsibility. One cannot blame the person for drug use. The message of this podcast is suppose to be about putting in the work and talk about the process of where Larry is right now.
No GMS NAQAM, I don't have proof... I am not the Law, just what peers and friends have said...are you to question or legitimize him. The most acclaimed powerlifter on Long Island who is highly respected brought this to my attention which tweaked the hairs on the back of my neck. As a career LEO it got me wondering- reached out to network of powerlifter who couldn't support this guy or say his programming/coaching worked. But you know what he's innocent till proven guilty but IMO couldn't be trusted & or endorsed...it it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck just might be a duck
Also strong observation here. Anyone remember from the Disney Hercules movie, where it's Philoctetes (the pig dude) training Hercules? That is exactly what I'm seeing with Gags and Wheels lmao.
NorthStrongSC i😂😂😂😂👌🏻👌🏻
Larry talks openly about using anabolic at 17 years old.
Amazing. Very interesting choice.
supertraining06 great content as always, you guys are making powerlifting great again!
supertraining06 it will be interesting to have an anecdotal, public incident of the effects of starting anabolics that early. more info is always good.
did he say he used to floor press the all mighty COMPEX unit in sets of 55 for hypertrophy at age of 11?
supertraining06 21:35
It's refreshing to see how humble all these guys are
It's kind of crazy the circumstances of his life that got him here. If he had grown up a normal kid, he'd probably be playing football, may have gotten a scholarship, might still be in school now. He obviously has incredible genetics, even natural, he'd still be a beast.
all very great stories develop out of some sort of struggle
beeing too comfortable doesn't give you the drive to achieve it
Love how enthusiastic Gags is about all aspects of the sport and lifting culture. It's awesome to see. Larry and John make a great team.
NorthStrongSC absolutely, thx for the statement

his attitude in this video looks like what u said
he’s an insecure greedy fat piece of shit who’s lucky that larry approached him
He’s a grimey scud and Larry doesn’t need him
Brought 2 programs on sale. Had no fucking clue what he wrote. I had to sit around and question myself and sometimes guess his instructions. @@jonassatiya4435 lol same

Damn this man started from literally nothing and look at him, one of the most gifted lifter in the world at age 21. Heroic
Hot damn John is high energy.. I'm sitting at my desk working and my heart rate went up just listening to him speak. I can see how he could fire people up in the gym
Some heavy breathing in this one
Basti Lift 😂😂😂

Gaglione looks like the uncle who steals the 6 th pan of stuffing and eats it in the bathroom while the turkey is still cooking.
Holy shit, this dude needs to stop talking. Trying to talk over when you guys are making jokes. What he has to say isn't that important. Also conceited af.
Podcast setup is a big step up from where is to be, at a small table in Midtown Gym, big Props to the Powercast
that was a very honest and interesting episode. Also that trainer seems to know what he is talking about. great so far, thx a lot.
It's cool that he's open to talk about his gear use ...
So much respect for larry for talking on that subject.
Very cool that you have Cedric McMillan in your round. Never thought he'd switch to Powerlifting :D
Love this in the Description "is he natty? Nah..." That's how it should be, no bullshit, honest lifting, and strong as fcuk, respect.
So he basically just has him on the juggernaut training program.
Great episode. Gratz on 200k tube subs!
his bench is insane.
larry is such a cool guy, made me laugh alot too. legend
Very real guy, good podcast.
Anyone else see the similarity between Gaglione and Phil from Hercules? Coincidence? I think not!
galogine looks like he belongs in a cartoon
Wheels is awesome, Gaglione needs to stop talking so much haha
tom000 your average F.L.I.D
tom000 i agree, i feel like hes taking away from larry a bit much

Have Vegan Gains on! and eat 20 ounce porterhouses during the cast

UnderdogStrength I knew he looked familiar lol
the whole time thinking. what if you started singing "its not unusual.. " with the carlton dance
I wish these podcasts were on Spotify.
That's not an easy thing to do. Why do you want it on Spotify?
Jim McDonald Spotify is just my main music/podcast listening app. Appreciate the hard work on these either way!
Jim McDonald It's true, I would say spotify is the app people use and will use in the future. It would make me listen to you more for sure.
Samuli Matikainen q
A lot more convenient. I could listen at work when I don't have wifi.
Reminds me of Norris the way he talks
really? Norris is so quiet
Except he admits his drug use.
Adam Sabo he would still be stronger than you if he took nothing but estrogen. Move on with your life and worry about yourself.
Norris is drug free just because you stick needles in your bum bum and your a weak dog doesn't mean his on shit.
Hey Jim, if possible please embed the video-clips that you guys watch into what the viewers are seeing.
Larry wheels at 17 “I wanna be the strongest guy in the gym”
Larry 4 years later on w of the strongest guys in the world, 💪
amazing lifter! greetings from amsterdam
22:50 to 25:30 is literally gold lmao
Everyone hates gaglione
I remember him from the animal video like 2 or 3 years ago. He's going to be challenging the Lilliebridges soon.

DELETE DELETE DELETE......honestly the "Broken"Matt Hardy gimmick was something else this year. a lot better than what WWE has going for them lol
Larry Wheels is a freakin Beast!!!
Man this coach is giving off a really skeezy vibe. This genetic freak just fell in his lap, and seems to be taking advantage of it. Larry may want to look into moving on down the road....
CreepyTaco Wow this is a prophetic comment looking back at it!
ddt0889 how , what happened?
GMS NAQAM There has been some allegations of misconduct made about the coach. Not related to Larry Wheels though.
I cant wait to see what he is capable of.
Mark don't miss no humors opportunitys in this ep jajaj
21, son of a bitch... Much respect... Wish I was more into powerlifting earlier in my 35 years.
Been waiting for this video
What a cool guy
I admire your honesty larry, more people need to be open about their drug use within the industry.
BeardedBish you do know it's literally illegal in the US right?
Indeed i do, doesn't mean you can't talk about it. Many people do.
Did u guys record a training session too with Larry? :D
Larry is the best ever
going for a PR = PETE RUBISH from now on i will use this
you need to fix that switcher the noise on the picture at the start is shit. Or is it meant to look like that ?
Larry "The Savage" Wheels!!!!
What a BEAST!
I don't like this trainer at all... I just don't and I want to express my opinion in the youtube comments...
i didnt watch the video yet but why u didnt like?
he wants to be in center of attention, he interrupts others, and the worst thing is that he tries to "steal" Larry's talent. He thinks he is responsible for Larry's success, but I believe that Larry could do even better in some more competent hands. I know I sound like I'm hating or something, but we all sound like that when we criticize others.
lol this is true he talk a lot like larry talk 40% of the conversation ..
Filip Kliba He basically just has him on Chad's Juggernaut training program and acts like HE'S "programming" for him lol
Filip Kliba hhah
Quite the heavy handed guests.
Gag is this mediocre coach who just got lucky having a superhuman dropping by on his doorstep. Larry was gonna be a world record holder regardless
AlphaBeast I've known John for a while and I've seen him take average people who work 40 hour a week desk jobs and get them nationally ranked and competing at the Arnold and USAPL nationals.
you really don't know what you are talking about, or know anything about training at all clearly.
Lucas Brady Lol you could see that clearly from 2 sentences? okay sherlock...All his methods are standard peaking programs for meet that you can see on just abt every powerlifting forum/channel etc etc. All i am saying is larry had already totaled 1800+ before even meeting the guy and as a teenager so yeah the likelyhood of him becoming a world champ was already there, it definitely wasnt gag's magical training that got him there
EliteThrowsCoaching USAPL Nationals is a fucking joke
EliteThrowsCoaching didn't usapl have like 1200 fucking lifters this year
Larry Wheels the realest
Larry wheels is the fuckin man! Love it!
The code doesnt seem to work yet!
There you have it folks. GENETICS is the deciding factor. T Semi 100% people hate to hear they will never be top level
What time do they talk about steriods?
i see a carreer in voice acting if he ever gets tired of powerlifting
only thing Jon does is deep-fry his finger nails before he eats them.
Is Larry still a part of Animal?
Coach running out of breath kinda gets annoying lol
When did this guy start pinning? Anyone got info? Fucking incredible body for that age. Crazy work and genetics.
IvdAEROvm at around 20mins he said he started taking stuff at around 17
Okey, cool. Haven't gotten that long. Thanks
IvdAEROvm he says pretty ealy on he started using "enhancements" pretty early on around 17. Take whatever you want from that
They said 17
92Munson when do they talk about it? What time?
Would you guys ever bring the Rip to ST? Would love to see him coaching you all through the squat
John u love talking period, especially about yourself. you need Larry, Larry don't need you

it's just powercast not powercast28. It actually says it on the screen.
Lmao!

Great cast, but curiosity about Gags is killing me. Did he ever get in trouble for like rape allegations? I saw his website is down too. Curios
Da Bronx is in Da Building
'don't go to the gym every week and attempt a new pr' oh Larry
holy shit larry wheels at 290.
I would love to see what Larry could have done on the football field. What a monster; seems nice, though.
Mike low key out-angling him
Larry is such a monster. I know he is a kid, but imagine if he got his diet dialed in..
Get Araash Rahbar on here he's open about his gear use. But before that you have to get Joe Defranco on here.
good shit guys. I fuckin love the podcasts. all den muthafuckas
I love Larry but why does everyone hate gag?

Why does Mike have a phanny pack? All the guys in my gym hold their steroids in them
Call down Clarence0 his name is Clarence Kennedy Olympic weightlifter pulled 340kg in Olympic shoes and natty all day!
Faze Monster Clarence isn't natural
I like how mark had to cut Larry off when he mentioned about taking "enhancements". Everyone knows, but im glad mark stopped it right there. I guess he does not want the viewers (us) to take drugs like candy but have him rather talk about putting the work in to where he is today.
Watch the rest, Mark himself opened the subject again.
Ali Geryafe i didnt watch the whole thing, i just heard it in the beginning due to morals or values. Not like everyone should know but taking it at that age is something.
Matthew Anthony what?
Dan Sesh Powerlifter very true. Larry tripping the fuck out at 23:08
this is my face when i see a girl doing speed work with 315 on dl.
Didn't Gaglione do some #metoo shit?
i wish it was just larry and not the coach as well
46:18 Hey now..
46:24 bye now
Compex do the best prostate massages
Accept your genetics
isn't Larry wheels a massthetics athlete??

Wheels is a freek
Gaglione has a lot of shady dealings ...hes got some feamles accusing him of nasty things...besides being a liar
Daniel Wood any proof?
how the fuck can you look like that at 21. even on gear
Soo much heavy breathing going on here. Soooo much.
Already sick of the heavy breathing 2 mins in. Better take these headphones off
😂
People like Larry make me feel inferior.
