    I'm diagnosed bipolar type 2 and I'd LOVE to personally thank that psychiatrist for her honest testimony. It pisses me off when people try to fake a mental illness to get away with murder. It makes those of us who do have mental health issues look like idiots. Good for her. She wasn't letting her spin that scenario to get away with it.

      Nicole wasn't faking anything. It wasn't her who claimed she had schizophrenia. As Lazarou points out, Nicole saw herself as not mentally ill and actively tried to present herself as normal as possible. Taking her responses at face value was intellectually dishonest on her part.

      That’s the court system and the family court system, to be exact. Not the “child protective” system. Also, so many people talk shit about the “system” but I don’t see a lot talking about how if people would think just a little bit and communicate a little bit before they fucked they wouldn’t have to have “the system” involved. Also, if people put their goddamned kids ahead of themselves, “the system” wouldn’t have to get involved.
      And if people would volunteer their time and money, and if people would become social workers and work for “the system” instead of constantly harping about it, and if people would get off their asses and do a quick google search or better yet get the fuck off their dead, complaining Karen _asses_ and shadow a family services worker to see how much “the system” needs help and hands and money and people who care about kids, “the system” would be better. But people would rather be ineffective complainers who remain willfully ignorant, who blame everyone and anyone they can for a system _that includes them_ that they say doesn’t work, and who constantly degrade frontline workers that work themselves senseless to save a kid that the Karen complainers don’t even know _exist_ and I’m sick of it. These are the same ass
      holes that have zero citeable data about “the system” but constantly debase and degrade law enforcement, GALs, CASA volunteers, child protective workers, abuse and neglect hotline workers and many other folks that work hard to do the best they can with little to no salary, respect, help or thanks.
      All these people do is remain lazy, uneducated and unhelpful and leave the hard work to others at the same time they complain about it. Trash.

      @@denisegroce7135 Maybe you are right, but her actions still don't make a lot of sense to me. It makes perfect sense. Considering the tumultuous relationship with her mom, an arguement probably spurred between the two over the housing and how it'd effect her schooling. The arguement got physical and the mom ended up dead. This wasn't a premeditated crime, this was decades of abuse bottling up to an explosive endpoint.

    • @wtrdawnlord
      @wtrdawnlord Год назад +22

      @@PR0MAN01 Except that isn't at all what happened. Yes the mom was apparently emotionally abusive, but there wasn't some impromptu argument that lead to a crime of passion. Nicole snuck into the house, parking her car blocks away, killed her stepdad and then left. She then returned about a day later and shot mom in the driveway before mom could get inside and find stepdad. Nicole even tried to get into stepdad's email so that mom wouldn't become concerned or suspicious that she wasn't hearing from him. Did you even watch the same video? There was absolutely nothing to support your idea that Nicole and mom got into some big argument that lead to Nicole killing stepdad and mom. How would that even explain how stepdad was killed hours before mom and inside the house while he was apparently watching TV and eating chips and then mom was shot out on the driveway, again hours apart from one another?

      Do you think maybe they had to make decisions based on the assumption that the shooter was still in the area, possibly in the house? The mom was unresponsive and there was only one deputy at the scene initially, so he called EMS. He would have been a sitting duck trying to resuscitate her if the shooter was there. Also, the dad was dead for a couple of days by then. I think you could probably tell he was dead by looking at him. I could be wrong about all of it, but I assumed they didn't try CPR for these reasons. I know in battle you have to assess whether it is safe to render aid at that moment on top of determining death.

    • @amityislandchum

      Police don't have any authority to declare death... but police have no legal obligation to actually help anyone. There are hundreds of videos out there of police officers shooting someone, then standing around and not even attempting any first aid while their victim is still clearly alive, struggling to breathe, in the background. And just as many videos of them arriving on scene, seeing a still-living victim, and not bothering to attempt first aid. (The shooting of Ahmaud Arbery is a recent high-profile example.)

    I seriously enjoy watching your videos. There is no telling how many people you've helped because of them! You speak with such professionalism and explain detail for detail of what exactly took place, no fluff! It's refreshing! You show case and he patterns of these types of people who are able to kill someone. Mental illness doesn't just happen. It's always there ready to strike! Keep up the good work. She killed two people while returning to school. I am not organized enough to sign up for college. This was strange one. The professionals know best. Mother was mean it sounds. Should have killed her and claimed self defense and leave her husband alive. I do think it's interesting that it takes a while for some patients to get a schizophrenic diagnosis and these experts can do it in a few hours for murder cases. The shrink was annoyed at the other shrinks diagnosis and spent to much time discrediting her. She came across arrogant and condescending. If shrinks are so smart how come they can't always figure out if a patient is go to kill themselves or others and help them before they do it. The whole field of severe mental illness is interesting if you don't have it. Having schizophrenia is hell and destroys people's ability to live normal lives. Hearing voices is so painful and you have no control. All people can hope for is treatment to help manage their symptoms.

He's putting his hands all over his face, which is a coping mechanism we sometimes use when feeling that sudden, overwhelming surge of fight or flight.
    He even grips onto the seat of the chair with both hands, realizing what he was doing, I'm sure. He starts the face touching, face in hand movements shortly after, though. Poor guy, that must have been rough.
