Thanks for sharing Thinh and PK. Great to hear the journey. I am glad Thinh is going to slow down a bit as there are some really good gains in for holding for the long term. Here a property I come across this morning out interest in Armadale VIC (out of my price range BTW): 2023 Sold $7,010,000 Sold February 28, 2023 by Marshall White - Stonnington 2011 Sold $3,900,000 Sold November 14, 2011 2001 Sold $2,375,000 Sold November 24, 2001 1995 Sold $650,000 Sold June 27, 1995
What are you trying to say ?? 1 Bitcoin price it was $0.09 USD in 2010 and now in 2024 it is worth almost $100,000 USD. Did you have $ 1 to spare in 2010 ? Property Investment is a way to slow… mix it with stock or other investment instruments
Great video & insightful. Thanks PK for including people who didn’t do your course in your interviews as it shows you’re not biased against those who didn’t’ or haven’t done your course. You’re an amazing person
Awesome content PK. Thank you Tim for being so honest and transparent. Invaluable. It all comes back to the first few things you teach PK. Goal. Strategy. Plan.
Great video PK. Thanks for getting this guest on, and hats off to him. He was very honest, owned his mistakes and showed a lot of humility. Hope you make more of these. Cheers!
Having the same background as Thinh, I found this discussion very relatable and helpful. It's all about acquiring knowledge and balancing everything according to your goals and situation.
Thanks guys for sharing all your experience, I learned a lot from this video. Great video , thank you Tinh for openly speaking about your journey and the mistakes appreciate it.
Omg.. Thank you for sharing. I'm in a very similar situation in Canada with negatively geared properties and have them up currently selling for a loss. I've done 7 real estate transactions only to learn lessons like you the hard way. I was depressed as I thought I did everything right but never got to reap the fruits. But watching you share your journey with a smile and that lovely comforting laugh is so good. You've inspired me to get back on the horse and get back to real estate investing. Thank you PK for having Thinh on your podcast. Such a down to earth, candid, real conversation. I have noe moved to Australia and am excited to start my real estate investing journey here. Cheers
I have one IP massive negative gearing only bought for 3 years ( price has doubled at the time of purchase) I’m sooo confused if I should hold or sell at loss and start again. Why did you decide to sell your Ips . You mind share ?
I love the humility here shown by PK and Thien (sorry if i have mis spelt your name Mr Nguyen). I love not only seeing and learning from PK's videos, but also learning from errors. In a world of social media, filled with flexing and success, its not quite as popular to explore and reveal errors we make. In all things i do, whether its chess, tennis, property investing, engineering, event management or even growing and sustaining of personal relationships,; It is so so so important to reflect and learn from our errors. I love the authenticity and jovial nature of both gentlemen. I have done PK's course, I dont work for him, but i am a very strong supporter of all avid property investors to do his course, no matter if its for your own private investing or working in the professiona as a buyers agent. It really is a wealth of knowledge and having a background in engineering, i do agree that data and the numbers do not lie. Really, every one.... its pretty obvious, how important to learn what you werent aware of and also have the team to support you along the way through the weekly calls and community. Dont be a dumby, do the PK course!
Thank you for sharing! Though you have made a few mistakes i think you have come out on top. I've learnt from your experiences and appreciate you sharing your journey! Happy Investing 😊
Thanks, Tim. I look back to my own mistakes while listening to your story. I noted down three things you mentioned at the end. And thanks a lot to PK for this video ❤
Great video, really enjoy the honesty and humor of Thinh...but honestly speaking there are some better buyers agent out there.....sort of famous but still quite responsive....like all other industries...there are always good and bad
If you have expertise in shares and portfolio construction, you should also diversify some of your cash there as well. As you have found out, leverage in property cuts both ways. It can be really good or really bad, so only proceed to add to your property portfolio only if you are certain you can hold it for the long term. You must have sufficient liquidity to be able to hang on through the tough times so that you can offload in the good times - otherwise its going to be a disaster, especially if you are heavily leveraged at 95% LVR. Anyhow thanks for sharing your experience and good luck for the future.
Hi PK, Thank for this informative podcast. I’m from Melbourne apparently from Truganina where Thinh Nguyen lives. Is there any way to get connected with him?
i'm interested in your course and have tried to join your FB community. This was about 1 week ago and still no response. Is there another way to find information about your course?
Never unless you really need the cash or if the house is falling apart and costing more than its increase in value , otherwise you use the equity in your house to buy another one.
Hey PK, been getting into your videos lately - great content! Thank you. My partner and I have 3 properties together.. One is a 2-1-1 townhouse valued at 550k with 275k owing, one is a 2-1-1 townhouse valued at 450k with 300k owning, one is a 3-1-2 house valued at 800k with 470k owing. Looking for some direction on what to do next? Would like to buy as much as possible in the next 10 years, but don’t really know where to start… Not skilled investors, just kind of bought a couple of things as we went. Not too worried about being in debt for a long time, just want to set our kids up for an easier life later on. We’re mid 30’s-early 40’s. One of us on a 100k salary in marketing, the other on give or take 200k as a self-employed tradie. No personal or car loans, no credit cards, no school fees. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers and all the best. Mick
He is probably in Big 4 companies! Just switch to a corporate company with more flexibility unless you love being pushed and working on weekends and at nights

Sounds like you’ve done well so far! I’m not sure what sort of advice are you looking for? Maybe join the fb group and we can connect there
How much taxes and fees you paid??? You are enriched bankers and lawyers
He is probably in Big 4 companies! Just switch to a corporate company with more flexibility unless you love being pushed and working on weekends and at nights
I remember being in big 4 - soul destroying
The big corporate pool is full of narsisisstic people…. It is toxic and soul disturbing
I am watching this video from Tarneit, wondering whether the guest is my neighbour.
LOL I want huge nugget balls at 00:43
Love those nugs !

They are not earning that much..If they did tho they earn every cent
I don't understand the concept of refinancing to " take money out" when u can just basically use the equity and cross collateralise!
You don’t need to cross-c to take equity out
Ahh, another 18.6 year property cycle mention. One which I cant for the life of me, spot in historical data.
It’s a bit hit and miss in the Australian context
Maybe you’re just too young to live in a dream home for a long time lol
great video! thank you for the wisdom!
Glad you enjoyed it!
