At 18:37 Natasha Poly really nailed it with her walk, poses & expressions that matched perfectly with her couture gown, but the camera work fucking ruined it for going up and down hence missing her point poses!
I worked in Dior when this collection was launched. The construction, the fabrics, the drapping, the cuts of the pret a porter are too impeccable....it is couture in RTW.... and those gowns, yes they are almost of couture price.. . The beading works were so fine
2018: remember that time John made a rtw collection that look basically just the same as a haute couture ones 2028: remember that time Maria made a haute couture collection that look basically just the same as all the last haute couture collection she had ever made
Actually i have always noticed that sometimes John pull the couture essence of the latest couture show and put it on a rtw one, like the fall rtw 2003 aka fuckpeta show got some vibe from the spring couture 2003, or we can spot from the fall rtw 2004 some similar silhoutte from the Egyptian one; and i have no problem with that as long as the creative director doesn't just make a rtw collection look like couture one while the couture collection already look like some random prom dresses
@@Sonmmmxuan That's not a vibe lol, John actually turned couture into ready to wear. The spring 2000 couture collection had the newspaper prints that everybody loves from the fall 2000 rtw collection, fall 2000 couture presented the heels that were repeated on the spring 2001 rtw show. The spring 2001 couture had the prints that were re-used on the fall 2001 rtw, spring 2002 couture was a preview on the andino collection he presented for fall 2002 rtw. Fall 2002 couture had the heels and skirts that were once again re-done for spring 2003 rtw. Spring 2003 couture and Fall 2003 rtw are an obvious continuation. Fall 2003 had the gypsy, flamenco looks that were printed on some pieces from the spring 2004 rtw collection...the list goes on and on. I think the last collection that I saw this continuation or transformation from haute couture to pret a porter was the spring 2010 couture with the equestrian theme to fall 2010 rtw with the same vibe. John is a total genius.
I remember well Jessica Stam doing a fantastic campaign for this collection. I think it was done with Nick Knight. Anyway this particular collection for Dior by Galliano really surpassed Armani, Hermes and Chanel in the notions of pure luxe, perfect cut and timelessness. What a feat, bravo John. However the first runway song was so irritating.
John Galliano was/is so good that they really let him push the limits on prêt-à-porter. Typically the ready to wear is supposed to be more subdued and less complex than the Haute Couture, so as to facilitate mass production, but nothing about these clothes says 'off the rack'. Those cuts, silhouettes, embellishments, and materials would put many haute couture collections to shame. When the designs are so impeccable and glamorous, how could you possibly dilute them?
This is so beautiful, beautiful, and elegant... Very nice, rich performance with class... Very high fashion! Love it... exquisite.. Perfect music... Very well done
For me, it's Couture! Now MGC ruined everything. Her couture collection is disappointing and it's not reach the same level to J Galliano RTW collection, too basic and repetitive.
Seriously, i can perfectly imagine how your voice intonation and the attitude in it while reading your comment. Lol. And the vision come along with a face expression!. Anyway, hello there
Music is great, model casting was pretty good, and the clothes are not even couture? Wow!? Lovely show 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Natasha Poly 18:37 & 24:32 was just perfect! I also loved Tanya 15:56

Goodness why aren't the models like this anymore? In this, they were LIVING, they were SERVING, they sold the fucking hell out of these clothes!
All these looks as killer. Not to mention the heel height. Yikes 😅. No one is doing anything close to this level of quality & distinctiveness right now. 💖JG💖
+NADS IQ yes I know he left. I'm not saying he was the best fit for Dior. It was just, some people were just giving him a lot of hate because they were so enameled with Galliano. But if he had stayed a decade perhaps even people that didn't like him would come around. I mean, isn't that the danger of being in live with the past? Being apprehensive to the future and not giving it a chance?
I have forever wanted sasha's green dress!!! Natasha was so good but flavia walked that gown effortlessly!! Real couture models who know the technique of kicking out under the dress so the hem doesnt get caught in the heel.!! Only true couture models perfect that!!
Can you believe that there is people that think that Raf was better? im praying for them tbh, that man's work and now Maria Grazia's work are the reason that Dior is trash now. I came here after the Fall 2017 show, to clean my soul. Galliano forever.
I think raf did what he could. The brand and raf just didnt have the same ethos i believe. But you cant discount his efforts. He made realy good use of the house’s tailors and pattern makers. Just a different approach.
The Golden Era of Dior ....love u Galliano.
Tanvir Ahmed its luxury at its purest. Natasha's part here is one of the most sensual exits ever.
You’re so basic
@@themarquis336 ok Maria grazia
And remember: this is not even Couture.
Yes. This is pret a porter honey. Omg.....
Mind blowing!!!
I was thinking the same!
The couture collection for this season was even more incredible than this
this is so pure glamour and elegance
Natasha Poly with that walk and killer cheekbones compliment the gown so much! A real Couture model. ❤️
YES.
She is the most enjoyable thing to see in this show.
Back when the models were a show in themselves 😍 performance & attitude from head to toe.❤️
Yeah I don't understand models and fashion these days. Makes me feel old. I'm out of touch.
At 18:37 Natasha Poly really nailed it with her walk, poses & expressions that matched perfectly with her couture gown, but the camera work fucking ruined it for going up and down hence missing her point poses!

is it true that the actual clothes (like coats, skirts, etfc) hardly sell compared to the bags etc?

Damnnn I can't believe this is ready to wear line! The 2019 Dior Haute Couture looks like complete trash compared to this!
I think Monsieur Dior himself has to bow down to the great Galliano. This is on a whole other level of EPICNESS. Lawd.....

Sơn Nguyễn Xuân i agree that this is just an extension of the madame butterfly couture show but it’s amazing nonetheless!

with MGC ... it's the opposite.

@mint657 I love Diarrhoea too - she's very lovely.
The fuchsia gown that Magdalena has on is absolutely stunning with the radiating pleats and embellishments.
Today, u can only see sheer dresses and t-shirt in Dior show.
