What a fantastic video! You captured so many awesome events at the show. I’m so glad you made it there. You’re so right that balancing oiler was worth the trip alone! 😃👍
Some of those machines are crazy complicated, I wouldn't even know where to start designing one 😁 I like the pliers and I also picked up a pair of toy pliers this year too. I have been curbing my purchase of pliers as I have so many of them! An interesting video, thanks for sharing 👍
I could almost smell those old engines running. There's nothing like going to a Steam Ralley, and standing there mesmerised at the hissing and popping - brilliant. You got some good tools too - can't wait to see the file handles ! Thanks for taking us along. Take care 🙂
I'm amazed that so many of the old machines still exist in working condition, and that there are enough of them to have all the show events you attend. My fav find this week is the punch. Punches, nail sets, and Pokey Things always want to come live in my toolbox. Lol!
Great video! All good things. All good things. 👍😁😁. I would like to see you make or find something to fix the wirlagig. The perfect handle wrench for a buck was an amazing find. Everytime I am at a show and see those kinds of wrenches, I am always on the lookout for a perfect handle hiding in the pile. Were you wearing a lucky shirt that day??? 🤔🤔🤔👍😁
What a great show. I really appreciate the people who had the foresight and ability to preserve these huge pieces of equipment for future generations. Thanks also to the people with the small gas engines. I think it is especially instructive when they hook their equipment up to saws, weavers, corn shelters etc. so people can see how Americans dealt with everyday tasks before we had extensive electrification. Of your tool haul, my favorite is the Utica pliers. They are rare in the Intermountain west, so when I found three different Utica plier designs at my local consignment store, I picked the up.
Obviously safety was not a factor when most of those machines were designed. Great video I always look forward to it. I watch them in the parking lot before church starts.
Thanks for the video. Looks like there is a lot to see. I will have to visit this event next year. Good haul from the flea market. Good job you went on the Friday before the rain. Dave.
What a great show. Some really excellent finds in there also. That wrench for $1 is amazing--you sure know how to find the deals. Thanks for the cool video!
Always like when you show engines with flywheels. Those screwdrivers look interesting, hope you can save the one with the bad tip. Also, like that Utica pliers and the wrench.
Kent such a nice clean place...first time in New England for me three months ago...impressive...out west is nice but New England seems to have a special flavor added...🖖
Great video, must be something to hear all the engines running and the aroma that must be in the air! Especially this time of year. You found some good stuff!
Yes the balanced oiler was pretty cool, loved the machine views thanks. Pretty amazing the small steam engines. I hope you show your corn cob file handle.
I love the WirlaGig i was saying to myself Too bad it's missing the wind blades for 50 cents i would have bought it i think it's cool looking .. As for the CAMA Show beautiful looking old machinery the machines had style and a function Good thing the weather held up for you i believe 16 out of 18 weekends were rainy ... Take care and enjoy your weekend Great video this Sunday
Very enjoyable video, All the machinery was cool. I think my favorite was the cord making machine where you got the Brest Cancer cord from. That was precision at its best. Im not aware of those type of shows around here so me and the misses may have to make a road trip..
Looks like a great show Magdad, I love those old engines, could watch them for hours ! I can't believe the prices there, you got some real bargains I think, looking forward to seeing what you do with them !
Boy, talk about eye candy, that show looked like you could go back repeatedly and see something you missed the last time thru no matter how many times you have gone thru it. Nice tool finds, again, you have a good for deals sir, thanks for the video.
Brilliant video and your tool purchases were spectacular. If you are ever in the UK you must visit the Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield and see the River Don engine. 12,000 up and it reverses in 2 seconds, the size of a house and used to roll armour plate.
magdad, I wanted to go Friday because of the rain Saturday and Sunday but I am way too busy at work right now. C.A.M.A. is very close for me and always have a good day there. The Sloane Museum doesn't change much but they have a nice selection of books for sale. I hope you and Mrs. magdad toured the mining and mineral building. I'm hoping to get to Jacktown this month. Not sure if I'll bring my little wagon this time though...lol George
That looked like a fun show and you found some pretty cool projects! I guess lady Magdad didn’t find anything so you might have to share 😂. Thank You for sharing!
Can't get my head around how that oiler stays there. And then the contrast makes it more striking. That massive rotating arm that could crush you and not skip a beat... being lubed by that delicate gadget hovering next to it. Wild.
Awesome haul Magdad! I like everything you got . But if I had to pick my favorite ones would be the little screwdriver with brass and the perfect handle screwdriver.
Looks like a great show. I wish we had as many shows in the Southeast as you do in the Northeast. We have one big one, the Southeast Old Threshers Reunion, where I work each July 4 week running boilers. Other than that, we have a few small ones here and there that I never seem to get the time to go to.
Some of those machines look more like midevil tourcher devices! Definitely before OSHA ! Unbelievable how many still operating... wonder how many of our modern machines will still be running that far in the future? Or even next year lol
I come across those Stanley no.41 push drills quite often. I find them often enough that I can be picky which I buy. If they are in bad condition, but are cheap and have a bunch of bits, I will buy them anyway. About half the ones I find are marked - BELL SYSTEM- I currently own about 6 of the drills. I have not seen Chuck latley. Is he ok ?
These machines are the true renewables. You can't truly renew an EV battery or even voltaic cells/solar. They show them grinding and separating used EV batteries into elements, but those elements are no longer capable of the voltage capacity warranted by an EV. Those steam engines etc. can be endlessly rebuilt.👍

We had a lot of fun at the show! That oiler was mesmerizing!
Some of those machines are crazy complicated, I wouldn't even know where to start designing one 😁
I like the pliers and I also picked up a pair of toy pliers this year too. I have been curbing my purchase of pliers as I have so many of them!
An interesting video, thanks for sharing 👍
The exposed mechanisms of the early machinery makes them super interesting to watch!
@@357magdad not much in the way of safety though 😁
I'm surprised the old fellers hat didn't fly off😅 Good Stuff as always!! Thanks for sharing Magdad!
I guess that wirligig is rated for high winds!
These shows are always fun 👍! Great finds! Have a wonderful weekend 👍👍👍
Thanks Mike! We enjoyed it!
The end was funny
Mrs Magdad rolled her eyes...
Eric Sloan wrote some amazing books. Glad to see there is a museum, as they might sell some of them in a gift shop?
They had many of his books for sale. Check out my Eric Sloane book review:

That levitating oiler was fantastic! The Northeast is really terrific for machinery. Thanks for documenting it.
I couldn't stop watching that oiler!
Great video and some great tools Looks like you both had a fantastic day out Thanks for sharing 🍺🍺👍
We had a lot of fun Brian!
This was great Magdad! All the machinery there was great to see working and they were beautifully maintained. Thanks for sharing this.
I'm glad you enjoyed it John!
I could almost smell those old engines running. There's nothing like going to a Steam Ralley, and standing there mesmerised at the hissing and popping - brilliant. You got some good tools too - can't wait to see the file handles ! Thanks for taking us along. Take care 🙂
Thanks Michael! It's hard to beat the signs, sounds and smells of the engine shows!
I'm amazed that so many of the old machines still exist in working condition, and that there are enough of them to have all the show events you attend. My fav find this week is the punch. Punches, nail sets, and Pokey Things always want to come live in my toolbox. Lol!
The engine shows are a lot of fun and I always manage to find something interesting at the flea market.
I was wearing my luck shirt!

The engines running a piece of machinery are the most interesting.
Obviously safety was not a factor when most of those machines were designed. Great video I always look forward to it. I watch them in the parking lot before church starts.
Safety standards have definitely evolved a lot!
Great video, Noel - l especially loved all the creative oilers on the machinery!
Thanks!
Very interesting. I love old machines. I have that same Stanley push drill. Great video. 👍❤...
I was happy to find one in such good condition for $2!
STEEL WOOD BRASS‼️
Looks like a really cool event. All of the old machines are really cool. Nice finds. Thanks for telling us about the Google lens . I had no idea.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who just discovered Google Lens!
Cool video and nice finds. I can't wait to see your restoration videos on these items. You wore that poor man out cranking that old car😂
Thanks Ivan! He looked tired after the electric start!
Thank you, for the field trip...we don't have this type of events in Hawaii...Love the view...A lot to look at...Never seen many items...
I'm glad you enjoyed the footage!
Thanks for the video. Looks like there is a lot to see. I will have to visit this event next year. Good haul from the flea market. Good job you went on the Friday before the rain.
Dave.
There was a lot to see. We spent most of the day there.
Looked like fun. Always nice to see some old engines and equipment plus a flea market to boot.
Engine shows are always fun!
That was some interesting equipment at the show! That oiler was real cool. You got more cool stuff, too!
I couldn't stop watching that oiler!
Those big old circular saws look terrifying.
You would not want to trip and fall into it!
That in an incredible machine museum! Thanks for bringing us along
The steam engines were amazing!
Great Show! Super Haul.
Thanks Robert!
Looks like an interesting event. 5:03 Always love those giant saws. Thanks for taking us along.
We heard it running and hurried over to get some footage!
What a great show. Some really excellent finds in there also. That wrench for $1 is amazing--you sure know how to find the deals. Thanks for the cool video!
The show was great! It's always fun rooting through the rusty junk for gems!
Always like when you show engines with flywheels. Those screwdrivers look interesting, hope you can save the one with the bad tip. Also, like that Utica pliers and the wrench.
Thanks Larry! The engine shows are aways interesting.
I love these tours! Thankya Sir!
We had a fun day!
Loved that bobbin weaving, twine making, bracelet assembler! Thank you for sharing, all the best!
That was a cool machine!
Kent such a nice clean place...first time in New England for me three months ago...impressive...out west is nice but New England seems to have a special flavor added...🖖
It was a great show!
Fun video! Remember the rules….buy the Mrs. something first, then you can get yourself something!
Mrs Magdad saw several antique sewing machines, but didn't buy anything.
Great video, must be something to hear all the engines running and the aroma that must be in the air! Especially this time of year. You found some good stuff!
The smells and sounds were great!
Looks like a fun show. Nice batch of tools you came home with.
It was a great show!
Yes the balanced oiler was pretty cool, loved the machine views thanks. Pretty amazing the small steam engines. I hope you show your corn cob file handle.
Mrs Magdad really liked the model steam engines.
“Hold on to your hat mister” 😆🤣😂
A little Magdad humor...

We spent 4 days visiting Kent CT. We had great weather Thursday and Friday and had rain Saturday and Sunday.
Awesome video thank you for the video
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The Steel, Wood & Brass Screwdriver seems to have some real interesting grain on that handle.
It may clean up nice...

Engine shows are a lot of fun and the flea markets are usually packed with old tools!
Looks like a great show Magdad, I love those old engines, could watch them for hours !
I can't believe the prices there, you got some real bargains I think, looking forward to seeing what you do with them !
The flea markets at the engine shows always have the best deals!
I think your toy man and car are missing a propeller. That ending gave me a giant laugh. Thank you!
According to Google lens it was a whirligig.
Those old machines are fun. Went to look at a few hit & miss for sale this week, but my pockets weren't deep enough. I don't need more anyway. 😅
There is always something interesting to see at the engine shows!
Great video buddy. Looks like a great day was had by all. Cute whirlygig.
We had a fun day!
Good stuff MagDad! I have an upcoming video about a corncob file handle. I love those big old machines!
The steam engines were really impressive!
Boy, talk about eye candy, that show looked like you could go back repeatedly and see something you missed the last time thru no matter how many times you have gone thru it. Nice tool finds, again, you have a good for deals sir, thanks for the video.
There were so many demonstrations going on, I'm sure we missed several.
Looks like a great show! How long a ride? Thanks for the google lens tip, I need to check it out.
2 1/2 hours from Flemington. We spent 4 days in Kent. We did some hiking Thursday, CAMA Friday and some antiquing in the rain on Saturday.
Brilliant video and your tool purchases were spectacular. If you are ever in the UK you must visit the Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield and see the River Don engine. 12,000 up and it reverses in 2 seconds, the size of a house and used to roll armour plate.
There are a few RUclips videos on the River Don engine - I'll have to check them out!

The mining and mineral science building was very interesting!
That looked like a fun show and you found some pretty cool projects! I guess lady Magdad didn’t find anything so you might have to share 😂. Thank You for sharing!
Mrs Magdad had fun, but didn't buy anything.
Back in the day they sold various WirlaGigs - including one with a kicking donkey. The wind used to catch the blades and make the mechanism work...
Someday I'd like to try to make a few....
Can't get my head around how that oiler stays there. And then the contrast makes it more striking. That massive rotating arm that could crush you and not skip a beat... being lubed by that delicate gadget hovering next to it. Wild.
That oiler was pretty amazing!
Up there with my favs: steel, wood, and brass. I figure it's a favorite of many, why the Buck 110 still sells.🧐👍
If you like steel, wood and brass, you're gonna like next week's video! 😉
@@357magdad I wish I'd known sooner, I'm taking over the world at that time.🧐
Awesome haul Magdad! I like everything you got . But if I had to pick my favorite ones would be the little screwdriver with brass and the perfect handle screwdriver.
It was fun hunting for treasure at the flea market!
If I had known you would be there, i would have dropped everything to go. I was so busy I didnt go this year.
We had a nice trip. We spent 4 days in Kent.

I am fortunate to have a couple good shows close by.
Great👍🇺🇲
Thanks!
I wish New Hampshire had these kind of shows. Closes I've come is the Deerfield Fair.
I'm fortunate to have a couple shows close enough to attend regularly.
Looks like it was both a great show and a great flea market! Any idea what the machine was starting at 8:43?
I'm not sure, the red steam engine looked like it had a smaller wheel for a belt drive.
That google lens is a game changer tbh i use it to find relay and pigtails at work all the time lol
It's a little spooky how well it works...
Some of those machines look more like midevil tourcher devices! Definitely before OSHA ! Unbelievable how many still operating... wonder how many of our modern machines will still be running that far in the future? Or even next year lol
The old equipment was built to last!
15:25 they could be jewelers pliers.
They seem very cheaply made...
@@357magdad have you seen what they pass as jewelry these days? 🤣 JK.

Your adjustable wrench looks like the Pit Monster's cousin on John Fix's channel?
It is pretty rusty. I'm working on it right now...
Do you know of any tool shows/ tool flea markets in eastern MA.?
Sorry, I do not.
👍🇺🇲great
Thanks!
HA! That fire wood processor makes people at OSHA cringe!!!!
Safety was definitely an afterthought!
where was chucky?
We left Chuck at home. He does not like to travel.
Come on Magdad, everyone knows those corn cobs belong in the bathroom
🤣💩
