I grew up seeing you in Modern Drummer and was always curious what kind of music you played. I read online some about you, then eventually got a few dvds you are on. Then recently ive been watching your youtube videos. I watched part 1 of the waterphone demonstration and the super ball mallets are very inspiring. You are a true musical force and inspiration to my drumming and being a musician!! I love your percussion work! Keep up the great work with the videos!
Well done! A lively rhythm was just what this piece needed. It was a great job of exploration that had my eyes closed halfway in just listening to the sound.
When you were speaking there was some reverberation, but (in my experience) rooms with suspended ceilings are usually quite acoustically flat... so was the reverberation from the Sailophone?
WHOA .. who needs water or hanging that thing.. yeah i know totally different sounds , wiat wait dont tell me .. i was wondering where the reverberance was coming from.. it was the instrument [i son think the timpany hurt any either].. That was rythmically amazing, sonically awesome..the finger pings on the column had a cymbol quality, That thing has range. the bulild up of the reverbant over tones were so well timed waves.. chills baby chills .. i would love to track that .. the empty one with the percussive rythm, and the whining of the bowed one .. and what ever other juxtapositions you can think of .. would be amazing in wide stereo or quad .. oooooooooooooooooo you should have said "play loud" it really is the next level from ruclips.net/video/gYC9F-FwN4E/видео.html. Beautiful & evocative. Thank you !
I’m in a state of suspense waiting for the hydrated demonstration…
Onion layers: apt phrasing. Can’t wait to explore more with you.
Fascinating
Impressive! But you always impress.
I heard the reverb too.
Timpano tuned to low E?
