One more thing! This isn't as common, but may pop up. If there are NO REPEAT SIGNS and the initial Section A ended in a half cadence but the complete return of A at the end is ending with an authentic cadence, you have ROUNDED BINARY. If both Section A's end with authentic cadences in the original key, you've got TERNARY. So when there are no repeats and you see Section A return, compare their final cadences.
Hello, it’s been quite a long time since this was posted, but I was wondering if you knew what pieces in the RCM History 9 syllabus employ rounded binary form. I was doing a practice test the other day and couldn’t figure it out even after I checked the book. Thanks!
Thanks so much!
This was so helpful, thank you.
