The friends part is so true. I tried to force myself to stay friends with this one person but I was so unhappy in that situation because we were incompatible and had opposite personalities. I feel so much happier now after acknowledging that the friendship wasn't working and to cut that person out of my life.

thank you andrea!!! I needed this, recently I had few struggles with my friends and i started being alone in school, I realized that i always get very excited when i meet someone that seems to be a really good friend, but then they start to be the opposite and thats when it hurts the most because i thought they were really my friends. I always expect the same treat that i give them but i always end up being disappointed. Im quite tired of being good and end up having the worst treat. but i understand now and i try to not get depressed when this kind of things happens, im meeting new people outside my old group of “friends” and i can say i’m better now! Im also working on my self esteem and trying to gain more confidence 🫶🏻sometimes we have to confront this things to start to take care more about ourselves and start to love in the most beautiful and honest way💗

as a senior who is graduating in four weeks I literally agree with everything you said. I have the biggest regrets w boys, friends, and not joining sports or doing things I actually was interested in. im like so ready to graduate but im also trying to ignore how fast the weeks go by 😭

Heavy on the friendship part! I made my toxic friend group my whole world for 3years. Eventually I realized they constantly made me feel bad about myself and once I let them go I thrived and became comfortable being alone.

as a senior i wish i had all of this advice my first damn day of freshman year 😭
I love all of the advices, wish I could have taken it up sooner, since a friend of mine ditched me, been friends with her even tho everyone told me not too, but I wanted to give her a chance, then she acted up weird, wasn't talking to me, so I came up to her and she told she won't talk to me cuz she wasn't allowed to, because I talk to 12 year old boys and her mum took that seriously, I was honestly gonna give up on her, but I said I apologize for it, she said okay, she was that clingy friend u know? And then I argued with her since I was an insecure hoe, told her u like pretty friends and don't like me, she took that offensively, blocked me, so I felt guilty, told this to my best friend, and she said I was rude and mean, thought she'd understand me but nah, but she told she will apologize in behalf of me, and she came back and unblocked me, but at the end she yelled at me and argued infronf of everyone, idk why, it's literally been 3 months when I argued to her and out of no where she bought it back, I really was a fool for staying with her when she was in a hard situation, she came up to me due to her being in a drama and she was involving me in it but at that time I didn't understand what the actual heck was going on
