Greatly honoured Phil. Thank you so much my friend. Really appreciate you showing me how to tie this. I have always had trouble tying deer hair.. I love fishing boatmen so much, it gets so addicting. Lots of fun stripping them through the water column, or fishing them close to shore where you can see the fish chasing them in clear water. Cheers buddy. Again a big 🙏 🙏. 🎣🎣🎣🎣🍺🍺🍺🍺😁😁😁😁
What a bad friend you are to take so long to tie this fly for him and for us! Ahahahhaha beautiful !!! Thank you so much for sharing . I’m gonna spend more time fishing still waters and you have a master degree and content about it! Thank you
Spinning deerhead is fun but time consuming. Does the natural hollow hair give this fly an advantage over using foam bodies? Very good video and a good looking tie. Thanks Phil miss you out here in MB.
Brent Jakobson I haven’t noticed any difference. Just a different way of achieving the same goal. Glad you enjoyed the video. I miss my time in Manitoba too. Cheers, Phil
I am not aware of anywhere where these are tied commercially. You might be able to ask you local fly shop if they have any local tyers providing them with flies. Cheers Phil.

Alfred Pryce Thank you Albert. Without your patience and persistence with me this pattern might never have happened.

Gary Payne Thanks Gary, boatman and the larger backswimmers offer some outstanding Stillwater fly fishing.
