Hate to point back to the obvious issue here but it does feel like a lot of these could have actually seen release if Nintendo had committed to using the CD-ROM format over cartridges. It's a trickle down effect, they wouldn't have lost their big third-parties which would have made for a healthier and more lucrative market for the console overall. The smaller publishers might have had an easier time getting their games out there knowing a much larger install base would have existed and guaranteed them a certain number of copies sold over a certain period. Narrator: “Monster Dunk was described as a haunted NBA Jam with famous monsters facing off in 2-on-2 matches and court hazards like hands coming out of the floor to grab the players’ legs.” Video, immediately: “SO REAL” 😂
maybe... But it all depends. I know the Wii U had Art Academy atelier... But the Wii U had the gamepad always available and a resistive stylus (capacitive styluses suck - I know this from many attempts to use one with phones and tablets - it's why the galaxy note has an expensive Wacom digitizer layer in it's screen) Plus you cannot do anything on the touchscreen while in docked mode... Meanwhile, there are some strange things on Switch already. My personal favourite as someone that does homebrew on older hardware, would have to be Fuze4Switch Which is literally a development environment comparable to an extended version of the kind of BASIC stuff built into 8 bit computers. (but it can do 3d graphics, advanced 2d stuff and a whole heap of other things with the switch hardware)
Perfect Dark 64 will always hold a special place in my heart, especially that soundtrack, and hearing that a stealth-focused sequel got cancelled is just the type of sadness I came to this video for.

Blame Shigeru Miyamoto. He was the one responsible for reworking Dinosaur Planet into Star Fox Adventures. Although it was a smart move; The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker would've suffered more had Dinosaur Planet released on Xbox.

excited for the title alone, and then it starts with the save select theme from SM64. Already a perfect vid, then came the N64 Smash demo song. Yup, perfect.
Oh man. This is Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogre_Battle_64:_Person_of_Lordly_Caliber One of my all time favorite. It's part of the Ogre Battle/Tactics Ogre series. Half the series is the standard "move individuals around a small grid" system. Ogre actually did it first and Final Fantasy Tactics took it from them. And that was the second system. The first game in the series and 64 used this larger scale war simulation system where you move entire units of up to 6 characters around a huge map and the combat is automated based on their placements in the unit. The game was made by a company called Quest, which was bought and absorbed into Atlus, with its members scattered, so it's unlikely there will ever be another one, which makes me sad. But if you like long, very techincal strategy games, I DEFINITELY recommend checking it out.
"Monster Dunk" definitely sounded like a game that was part of the "Mutant League" sports series by Electronic Arts, and I would have loved to have seen a basketball-themed game from that series as well. :)
Having a Pokemon RPG on the N64 would have been awesome! Imagine having Pokemon Stadium like battles on the big screen but now with Pokemon Legends Arceus seening Pokemon on a console is still a dream come true! Still waiting for Pokemon Stadium 3!

10:59 "Up to four players would collect mana based on water, earth, sky, and air". Two or three of those are mostly the same thing. Sounds lame.
How many black people do you know?
ruclips.net/video/iMp7BHahY8c/видео.html watch his movie when you are bored. He's a dark Sith... And his forehead is blessed with the blood and guts of little baby jesus. His writing is not from this planet. Go love him. Use a fake account if you have to. Get spiritual food from him
8:30 oooo that's super interesting, maybe it played a hand in the creation of Pokemon Colosseum?
Pokemon stadium was so fun
Narrator: “Monster Dunk was described as a haunted NBA Jam with famous monsters
facing off in 2-on-2 matches and court hazards like hands coming out of the floor to grab the players’ legs.”
Video, immediately: “SO REAL” 😂
"Game - Did You Know Gaming? Feat. Person"
So that's their default video naming.
Yes.
@@justanothercorpusmachine4243 yes.
I bet if they released the Mario Artist Games on the Switch today, they could probably successfully do it and make a lot of money
maybe...
But it all depends.
I know the Wii U had Art Academy atelier...
But the Wii U had the gamepad always available and a resistive stylus (capacitive styluses suck - I know this from many attempts to use one with phones and tablets - it's why the galaxy note has an expensive Wacom digitizer layer in it's screen)
Plus you cannot do anything on the touchscreen while in docked mode...
Meanwhile, there are some strange things on Switch already.
My personal favourite as someone that does homebrew on older hardware, would have to be Fuze4Switch
Which is literally a development environment comparable to an extended version of the kind of BASIC stuff built into 8 bit computers.
(but it can do 3d graphics, advanced 2d stuff and a whole heap of other things with the switch hardware)
Man, I'm reading bankruptcy so quick I'm already at chapter 11!
Imagine if Super Mario 64 part 2 was released. That would be awesome.
Just play the mod Super Mario Star Road
@@JeRMRellum true, it's great
Perfect Dark 64 will always hold a special place in my heart, especially that soundtrack, and hearing that a stealth-focused sequel got cancelled is just the type of sadness I came to this video for.
"Cabbage is cancelled"
That one dude from Avatar - The Last Airbender: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
God you're unfunny
@@TheGunFreak94 For reels lmao😂
you've never had an original thought in your life
@@TheGunFreak94 I thought it was funny
The potential for a good joke was here but the painfully unfunny “reee” destroyed it
Catroots was later released as a Tom and Jerry Fighting game for N64, you forgot to mention that part
@referral madness Yeah, I never played it myself but the N64 version had good revies in Nintendo Powder
Wait, really?

Ah, "Game - Did You Know Gaming? Feat. Person" is my favorite episode.
I definitely will subscribe if you're gonna do more [Game/Subject] videos! [Game/Subject] is my favorite [Thing]!
That mention of “chapter 11 bankruptcy “ immediately made me think of Bright Sun Film’s “Abandoned” series
christopher garratt it made me think of Company Man’s videos
And the bankrupt videos with gm and twa
10:59
Ah, the usual four elemental powers: water, earth, sky, and air... wait, sky and air??
I'm beyond immature, I thought he said "F-18 Super Horny" at 15:41
3:44 I dunno dude, "Cabbage" is a pretty good name
3:58 See? That's when all good things happen
Don’t think I don’t see that updated thumbnail with the recently discovered Luigi model ;)
(Unless I’m wrong and that was always there and that isn’t the recently discovered Luigi model)
It's downright criminal that Dinosaur Planet got canned...
Blame Shigeru Miyamoto. He was the one responsible for reworking Dinosaur Planet into Star Fox Adventures.
Although it was a smart move; The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker would've suffered more had Dinosaur Planet released on Xbox.
Nintendo 64 would've been nothing without RARE software.
He owes them big time and then they got assimilated by Microsoft
"Project Reality", "Dolphin", "Revolution", "NX"... Nintendo's project names are so much cooler than the names of the finished product.
Can you do a video on GameCube and Wii games?
Ah yes, my favorite DYKG video:
“Game - Did You Know Gaming? Feat. Person”
There was a sequel to pilotwings 64!! Its called superman 64 XD
I'm sad about the Robotech story I was really looking forward to it. Looking at pictures of it from E3 in my game informer over and over.
DrSnipe83 it was made in america so it was going to be garbage
I'm glad they didn't make Perfect Dark a 3rd person shooter.
Nintendo tried to implement Luigi, multiplayer, and a rideable Yoshi, but cancelled SM64 2
Meanwhile, people like Kaze Emanuar and others casually do that because they felt like it
True, but today developers and modders have a much better understanding of the N64's hardware compared to the 90s.
Having no deadline or budget is a hell of a thing
Kinda easier to implement when everything else was already made for you.
Mhm..

Hi, unrelated question, do you guys keep a list of the background music you guys use for people to see?
Top 5 N64 games:
5. Snowboard Kids
4. Perfect Dark
3. Goldeneye
2. Majoras Mask
1. Ocarina of Time
Where's yoshi's tax fruad
Sir rays Knows alot and Waluigi's taco stand
Earthbound is on this list guaranteed... before even watching the video
If Earthbound 64 was released, I would play that and show it to my wood shop teacher because he's a huge fan of Earthbound
That's super cool to have a teacher that loves Nintendo games. :D
No one cares
excited for the title alone, and then it starts with the save select theme from SM64. Already a perfect vid, then came the N64 Smash demo song. Yup, perfect.
Anyone know what game is at 10:44 ..?
I checked NintenDaan's Channel and couldn't find it
I appreciate it ..!
I will most definitely check it out , sounds like it checks off most things I love about Strategy RPGs
*_:)_*
"Monster Dunk" definitely sounded like a game that was part of the "Mutant League" sports series by Electronic Arts, and I would have loved to have seen a basketball-themed game from that series as well. :)
8:30 nearly spat my drink out at this frame
Having a Pokemon RPG on the N64 would have been awesome! Imagine having Pokemon Stadium like battles on the big screen but now with Pokemon Legends Arceus seening Pokemon on a console is still a dream come true! Still waiting for Pokemon Stadium 3!
Fingers crossed for "N64 Classic" coming out soon!
@WhinyDogFish NES Classic is a miniaturized version of the NES console, essentially a little bigger than a Raspberry Pi with pre-loaded games, but nowadays can be hacked to add more games.
Everyone take your hats off and pay your respects to earthbound 64 rip
Loved this new series, hope to see more "every cancelled games" of other platforms!
