- Peace family! I've been getting a lot of questions about what to prepare for and what to do in moving to Tanzania, so I decided to make a couple of videos about it! Here's part 1. I hope you enjoy!

Just excited to see our brothers and sisters from America and other parts of the World are coming back to where they originally belong....Africa. Love you all and you are Warmly WELCOME.
Ahsante sana! Thank you for the warm welcome. I do feel at home here ♥️🇹🇿
Are white people welcomed?!😌
Gratitude Being an African isnt about colour. This is a rainbow continent. From the shore of Red Sea (North Africa) to the Cape of Good Hope (South Africa) different type of races represents this beautiful continent. You are warmly welcome bro!

Gratitude No. Afrika for Afrikans. Stop attention seeking 🤣
Excellent advice. My first trip to Rwanda, I learned most of East Africa speaks swahili, so I've been learning with my wife and daughter. The language seems very simple to learn as well. Great vid!
Yeah Swahili is spoken all over East Africa and some parts of Central and Southern Africa.
Yesss teaching the whole family! That’s the move.
Definitely, I'm also letting Swahili my husband speaks three languages. Luganda, Swahili and English. I only speak two but Swahili will be my third 😁.
Right on Sis! That’s awesome.
I love watching your videos! I have been to tanzania 5 times in the past 2 years, just got home after 8 months in Arusha. I am back in June and would love to meet you!
I’m from Canada! Will be relocating to Tanzania in a few years but until then, 4 months a year will have to do for me!! Thanks for all the tips!

I’m in Canada 🇨🇦 too.
Been to Tanzania 🇹🇿 4 times . Built a school for children with disabilities. Fell in love with the children then with a man. Lol.
The relationship is falling apart but I’m still in love with the children which is the most important thing.
I want to help them and be for them help the community. I’m a health professional and I would work there if possible. I would love to buy a small farm grow my own vegetables, farm animals. Love natural peaceful life . Now it is just a fantasy but form my experience, whatever I put in my I go for it . I know some kswahili since I’m actively learning from my dozen of my friends.
I’m a mzungu originally from Poland 🇵🇱.
Black sisters and brothers need to move back and build that continent
You smart, that’s what I am talking about, I like that you gave your child US citizenship and go back to live in Africa. I been saying that’s what the Asians do to build their home and family business. Our ancestor fought for America citizenship and the education so we should use it while connecting to Africa our home. I believe it’s much easer for women to move to Africa than men though. I wish I can just go to Africa but you can’t do nothing without money.
Yessss I've been waiting!! Hey sis... I'll be there in a few months!!!! Welcome back
Thank you sis! That’s awesome I know you’re excited 😁
Me too planning to come there and have my holiday and know more things about Tanzania
Thanks for sharing Love from Brooklyn
Heyyy Kat got this notification while looking up some flights to head that way🙂. I’m going to try this again and succeed! Inshallah 🙏🏽
Heeey love! Yay! That’s what I like to hear girl. Can’t wait ♥️
Yep! They sure do fly direct. It’s about 2 hrs to Dar and an hour to Kilimanjaro... roughly
Yasssss! This video is right on time!! Thank you sistah. The countdown is on!!! 🇹🇿
Lawd.......bout time. Grand Rising Queen. Thanks for the videos. Be sure to show us the new home soon.
That's right Beau we will be waiting
Happy to see you, and keep sharing your wisdom. 💕❤️🇺🇸
These tips were ooooon point. Much thanks Dada. I been on my duolingo, learning a lil swahili goes a long way.
Ndio kaka. it does go a long way! Thank you. ♥️
Girl I want you to know how much these videos lift me up. I hope if I’m able to make the trip out there in the next year or two that I can get an opportunity to connect with you. PS: You put me on to Eckhart Tolle. Powerful stuff! Thanks sis. ❤️
Wow thank you! That really means a lot. 🙏🏾 and yes! The power of now is a classic. I listen to the audiobook a couple times a year just to remind myself sometimes.
I really enjoyed your video. I am live in Hampton Roads, Virginia and I hope to visit Tanzania. Thank you for the information 🙂.
I admire yor willingness to adapt and accept. You are abig person. You represent us well.
Wow thank you so much 🙏🏾
This video was GREAT!!! Loved the information that you provided. I'm hoping to make my repatriation within the next year, or two. I definitely want to learn more Swahili, as I only know a few words through my activist circle. You're right about the false information in the internet, though. Looking forward to the next video! :-)
Love, love, love! Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to part two.
Thank you! Coming very soon 🤗
Welcome Back! We missed you.
Thank you!
Thumbs up even before I watch!..........glad to have you back!
Thank you! ♥️
Welcome back sis !! We missed you and Thank you for sharing your beautiful life with us 😚
I missed y’all too ♥️ and there’s much more to come!!
When you said 20% I 100% agree with you.
Ndiyooooo!! She's back!! It's so good to see you again Sister. Settling properly into new family life takes a minute. A nice part 1 video - great advice; especially about learning local languages. Like yourself, I too, am a Navy vet, and have learned the importance of learning /speaking the country's language. Looking forward to part 2. Stay wise and blessed!!
Thank you my fellow shipmate! It feels good to be back. And yep, biggest regret that I didn’t learn more before I came. And thank you. You say blessed too.
I was just thinking about you today, and bam, we have a new video! Thank you so much for this video. My husband and I have been talking about moving to the continent, but still don't know which country we'd like. How did you decide to move to Tanzania?
Tanzanian here by birth, you pretty much nailed everything on point! One thing that left me bursting with laughter is when you you said everything is slow.. especially the government workers taking their sweet time to move the paperwork....very true lol.
Thanks for all your information you give us to prepare us for when we come home you look great 😊
Peace sis! Thank you and I’m glad you’re enjoying the info.
Good to see you! Hope your family is wonderful, healthy and happy. Be Well!
Thank you! I hope you and your family are doing well too.
Hello sweetheart, good seeing you💗
Peace, Blessings, Light, and Love.
Hello and peace to you too. I hope all is well with you ♥️
Thought you forgot about us sis. So happy to hear from you!
Forgot about y’all? Naaah never that! I’m happy to be back!
Your headwrap is giving me life. I know what you mean about bringing stuff back with you. A few items I normally find the states I couldn't find in Uganda. So I just buy stuff and ship them straight to my fiance. We're doing some house hunting since we've seen a few towns. I'm not sure which time we would like to settle in yet. I have my heart set on in entebbe more than any other town. But I also like Kira and bweyogerere. So we will see where our dream home will be.
Do you plan to do a house tour? So glad that you're back.
Thank you! And yeah it really does make life a little more comfortable with those things you’re familiar with.
Follow where your heart leads you and where y’all will be most comfortable ♥️
Yes we’re thinking about doing a home tour... Maybe lol
Please do we hope to see it.
Hey Traveling sista we’re here now🤗🤗just arrived yesterday. It’s very beautiful💕
Hello there i just saw ur username and makes me so sad. i love african americans so much and I'm african. Please don't generalize based on your experience. I read your bio and that's just sad. Sorry for ur experiences. that doesn't represent us. We have more than 50 countries and each country has so many tribes and languages! I see ur in Tanzania now?glad u are trying it out again. It's unfair if i say i don't like african americans based on a few experiences i may have in the states. I will never hate AA. we are one.brothers and sisters even though we are far apart.
Jesus! What did they do to you!!
What's up with your username?
Can you hate yourself? If not who came up with that stupid idea??🤔 just wonder
Besides Kilimanjaro I would recommend Usumbura Mountains .
If you are in Lushoto you can climb a nice viewpoint. Got close friends there . Also, if you want to support a school for children with disabilities please head to Mombo village, Jitengeni School. The child and community needs a lot of help.
This is why I’m going there almost yearly .
Thank you 🙏🏽
She said, centering yourself, makes you peaceful.
Adrian Borden I want that !
Heeyy you! Good to see your smiling face on RUclips again.
Hey heyyy! Good to be back.
I love the 'Makonde ndonya' on her nose.Wako nakuneng'olo, wako ndioko,na manyanganyanga.Welcome to Tanzania our dear AmericanMakonde sister.

😂😂😂 lollll bro. thank you so much
Loving your channel!
I am a Kenyan, but I still enjoy your videos. I think you should also encourage your viewers to try Kenyan Coast (especially Lamu and Malindi). Life is relatively cheaper for foreigners.
Thank you bro! I’m glad you enjoy. I do want to encourage people to visit Kenya as well, I honestly just don’t know too much about it. I need to really spend some time there. All in due time 🙏🏾
what of alkhebab?
Welcome back sis...
I’m coming to Dar next month for my vacation ... I need a driver
Hit me up on WhatsApp
So happy you are back . I love your channel . Don’t go away too long again lol
welcome to Tanzania, if you really want to enjoy the nature visit ''magoroto forest in Tanga'' its so amazing.
the weather is that hot in that place ?
Tosto Amico it depends which region, example regions like Arusha, moshi, iringa its cold most of the time and places like dar es salaam, tanga , mtwara its hot during the day and normal at night.
So true about learning Swahili. Got invited to a birthday party in Dar and sat like a dud the whole time. Not pleasant. 🙄
Yeah it can be frustrating at times.
Traveling Sista
What are you using to learn Swahili?
My husband lol
I was planning on visiting but things have changed. I was in the hospital for a while. I was shot in my heart and it went thru my liver and out in a drive by while standing in my living room. Now my plans are on hold and the money i have saved has to go to medical bills . Maybe i will make it next year
Oh wow peace Sis. Sending positive energy and love your way. Im so happy that you are okay and recovering. But most importantly I’m glad you’re alive. Not too many people who’ve been in that situation can say that. That means that the ancestors have some huge plans for your life! ♥️
@@travelingsista My son saved my life. He was visiting me that day. After telling him i think i got shot i dont remember anything . He took me to my room and call 911. Yes im alive and protected.
I’m so happy that you’re alive and recovering. Honestly. Truly a blessing 🙏🏾
Bless your recovery Ms Teco.... and your finances! & your son 💜
@@harmony7377 thank you. They told me that it can take anywhere from 8 months to a year for my bones to heal. It been a little over a month. Im still trying to come to term that i have been shot. My mind just won't let me do it. I think my body is still in some kind of shock.
Dar Es Salaam is in Dar Es Salaam Region, right next to Pwani Region
Glad you back. Love your channel
Thank you 😊
Great video 👍🏾!!
I just subscribed 😁☀️!!
You are good at graphic design as well
I want to move to Tanzania, these videos are so valuable! btw, question: how do you think people react to a person who doesn't look native to tanzania/africa? im worried that i will stand out much and look like a tourist and that would attract pickpockets.
Also!!: How easy or hard it would be for a northern european from the arctic circle to get "accepted" by the community? Up here north people are very introverted, ppl don't know their neighbors, you can go to a supermarket and not say a single word to the cashier and it's normal. It's hard to make friends but once you get some they're loyal for life.
Here in my country doing paperwork with the government is extremely fast and everything works fast and well, at least by the opinion of foreigners!

I’m Polish. Where are you ?
I have been to Tz 4 times . If you want to talk we can connect .
I’m Jola .
I love Tz.
Congratulations on your new home ! So baby girl is walking now ?! Is she saying any words in Swahili or English yet?
Sign Wife and I up for that Chill spot next year.
Pole pole it is for sure ! Lol!!!
There “ I’m coming”, means waiting 5 more hours !!!
Thankyou
Nice one Sister. Thanks again

OMG!!! Confirmation for me,Yasss Bad News in the House..lol.
Thank so much, appreciating your videos. Just wondering how did you find Zanzibar, good, bad and ugly.
No hurry in Africa. We do not rush.
No Matusi in American they have watches, in Africa they have time .
Salama kutoka kwa mzungu katika Kanada

Been watching you for sometime. Ready to come . So should I contact Melanine Migratiion. Please advise
Can you talk about flooding
I’m from Congo and I wish I could speak Swahili my mother language since I was raised by my dad and I think if we have to choose one language to speak in the continent 🌍 it will be Swahili coze it’s spoken by a good number of people in Africa
This American woman has to go to Mtwara to search for her roots. She might be related to the Wamakonde tribe. She resembles so much with my auntie Maliana.
What kind of jobs are available to African Americans or expats ?
I hear that TZ is about the size of Cali and Texas combined. I figure that my metal detector should keep me occupied for a while, who knows, maybe I'll stumble on a tanzanite mine.
Ummm.....its not gonna be months before we see part two is it?
Yes Tanzania is huge. And no lol it won’t be.
Hi there. I love the video, very informative! We want to travel to Tanzania. Im from the Uk, so getting a visa is straightforward for me but my partner is from a country that requires a referral visa. Any idea how to obtain this?
Plz plz help me do you have to live there to have a business plz respond
@Traveling Sista, Is it peaceful to walk to home at night or evening or their are a lot of thieves.
I’ve been in Uganda and there were brutal thieves, they use to beat everybody old, young, sick especially foreigners and it was not safe to walk to home after 6 pm. Even the day time, they use to beat people.
How is the Internet service in Arusha?
It’s so- so. Kind of slow at times but overall, gets the job done.
I’m a Tanzanian and am finishing my degree this year . I always wanted to start a business . In Dar-es-Salaam where my family live. Which businesses are more profitable in your opinion? How did you move your stuff to Tz ?
Hope you see this!!❤️❤️❤️
reen 00 the Ask your family !!!! What are you doing in school??
Traveling Sister I want you to meet Mama C and Pete O'Neil both living in Arusha and I am in Arusha too...wish could meet you and bro
Peace! I’ve met Mama C multiple timed. I’m actually going to be with her tomorrow. One day we will get an interview in too 🤗
And yes we should meet
It will be nice Sister
I will be so happy to meet you
Hello traveling sista... can I ask a dumb question? How come you came back to United States to have your baby?
It’s not s dumb question at all. My mother and grandmother are there. This is my first child so I wanted their wisdom love and support. Also my healthcare is free because I’m a veteran. So this seemed like the natural choice.
Thank you so much 😘! Because my cousin and I are thinking of coming to Tanzania as well
Yes y’all should come!
So you are wearing your Tignon?
Sister, is it better to ship a car or buy it over there?
Hey I'm from Va Chesapeake be the city, research Tanzania to move to, I can deal with us lifestyle it's not me
Hi sis l remember misjudging you before, am so sorry, your information is actually on point especially with like government and restaurants they can be a little frustrating but it rubs on you after some time.you are kinda a native now l see😊

Even some of us in North America do not like the abuse of our African Traditions & Culture with ridiculous "tattoos" and nose piercing!
It is the "Banal" act belonging to the European pale-faced troglodytes not "Original" to the True & Original, Proud & Dignified Black People of The Universe!
There exists a "Big Difference" between the Original African Style and the bastardized western style of body tattooing and piercing, Big Difference!
After all,...It is your body. Cherish it while Respecting the Culture and People of the Motherland.
To each their own 🤷🏾♀️ I love my tatts and piercings 💕🤗
@@travelingsista Congratulations!
Self Emancipation tattooing is not Native to western beauty. My tribe tattooes young men. The Ethiopians, Nigerians, Ghanaians all use tattooing for different reasons. She’s only continuing her ancestors culture. Let the lady be.
@@daffyqa You should read the message very carefully and with full comprehension before you start prattling all over the place. It is pointless and needless for you to try and edify me on the true origin of body tattooing and piercing.
It is BANAL of all those ugly looking humanoid scarecrows going around with the platitudinous style of western bastardized imitation of True & Original Black Traditions and Customs. You should all lump yourselves in the same boat and go drown at the deepest level of lake Tanganyika. BYE...All thumbs down, Sink!
@@daffyqa "Let the lady be" you murmured? Well then, let her be until someone grabs and pulls out the ring sticking out her nose and another pours kerosene all over her body...Let it be that somebody did warn the lady to be, Stupid!
